Chapter 25: Explosion Yinzhen’s face turned red at a speed visible to the naked eye...

Yinzhen's face turned red at a speed visible to the naked eye, his eyes were blank and he didn't say a word.

Qi Buchen simply put more effort into it and blinked rapidly a few times: "Hmm?"

Yinzhen hurriedly turned his head away like a frightened rabbit, clenched his fist and pressed it to his lips, coughing softly, "This won't happen again."

"I promise!" Qi Buchen responded quickly, holding the spoon and eating quickly, fearing that someone would snatch it away if he was late.

Yinzhen turned his gaze secretly and saw her wolfing down her food. He frowned slightly and said, "Chew slowly."

"Oh, oh, okay." Qi Buchen responded vaguely and slowed down.

Yinzhen shook his head helplessly and added in his heart: Don’t talk while eating and don’t talk while sleeping.

Forget it, I’m too tired today, let’s talk about it later.

Qi Buchen finished a bowl of rice with soup and wanted to have a second bowl, but Yinzhen refused to let her have it no matter what. Even when she acted like a spoiled child, she abruptly looked away and asked Baozhu and others to pick up some food for her.

Qi Buchen simply put down his chopsticks, his face annoyed like a pufferfish: "I'm not eating anymore, I'm full."

"Stop making trouble. How much have you eaten?" Yinzhen felt a headache. Fu Jin had always been quite sensible before. Why was she so willful today? "Be careful not to be hungry this afternoon."

"I have no appetite. I can't eat." Qi Buchen simply stood up and said, "I'm tired. I'm going to sleep."

He walked into the west room with a sound of footsteps.

After Baozhu and the others realized what was happening, they hurried in and said, "Fujin, please go slower."

Yinzhen frowned tightly, and looking at the table full of food, he lost his appetite. Su Peisheng said cautiously, "Master, would you like some more?"

"I have no appetite. Let's stop eating." Yinzhen simply stood up and said, "I'm going to take a rest."

Su Peisheng shut up immediately and followed obediently, gesturing with his hands behind his back to let others pack up their things.

"Fujin, I'm afraid I'll be angry if you do this." Baozhu, who followed in, said anxiously, "You'd better go out and apologize to me."

Qi Buchen stood with his back to them, stretched out his hands, and said in a low voice: "Undress!"

Baozhu heard the anger and had no choice but to signal someone to ask Mammy Ham to come and help Qi Buchen undress. When she turned to the front, because of her height, she could easily see Qi Buchen's frosty face. She was very puzzled. It was just a bowl of rice. Besides, everything the master said and did was for the good of Fu Jin, so why was Fu Jin so angry?

Qi Buchen took off his clothes and got into bed. As soon as he lay down face down, tears started to flow.

She knew her behavior was inappropriate, and that Yinzhen had done nothing wrong. But she felt a surge of inexplicable anger, a burning sensation that starved her chest of oxygen and made her feel suffocated. Her sudden, coquettish behavior was a conscious effort to suppress the pressure. But it had little effect; it only intensified her anger, which she then took out on Yinzhen.

Qi Buchen closed his eyes and let the tears flow silently.

Finally, I fell asleep somehow.

"Fujin."

In a daze, Qi Buchen found that there seemed to be a voice coming from a distant place.

"Fujin, it's time to get up, Fujin."

It seems like a precious pearl.

As soon as this name entered his mind, Qi Buchen instantly woke up and remembered who he was and where he was.

She sat up and made a sound from her throat, and the bed curtain was lifted from the outside: "Fujin..."

Baozhu's voice suddenly became louder, filled with surprise: "Why are your eyes swollen? ...Did you cry?"

Qi Buchen felt a headache because of her raised voice. He opened his eyes, but found that there was a sticky substance on his eyes. He couldn't open them widely, and what he saw was blurry.

Baozhu's words attracted the other servants in the room. Seeing that Qi Buchen's eyes were swollen and he couldn't open them, they started talking at once.

"Did you have a nightmare?"

"Go and get a handkerchief to wipe Fu Jin's face."

"My eyes are swollen, what should I do? I'm going to attend the palace banquet soon."

Qi Buchen only felt a buzzing sound in his ears, which made his head feel like it was about to explode and the pain became more and more severe.

"Shut up! Stop making noise!" She shouted, and the palace maids suddenly felt as if their necks were strangled, and the room was silent.

After closing his eyes for a while and feeling less painful, Qi Buchen said, "Bring me a handkerchief."

Everyone then dared to move. Baozhu helped her out of bed and said carefully, "Does Fu Jin have a headache again? Should we call the imperial physician to take a look?"

"No need." Qi Buchen refused briefly, and Baozhu didn't dare to mention it again. She took the handkerchief and handed it to Qi Buchen.

After wiping her face with a handkerchief and opening her eyes, her vision became clear, but she could feel that her eyelids were indeed swollen.

"Go get some hard-boiled eggs."

A palace servant hurried out and met Lin Changqing who had just come in.

"What are you doing? Has the Concubine woken up?" Lin Changqing knew that this was the servant in the Concubine's room.

"Replying to Eunuch Lin, the wife has woken up." The maid's eyes turned and she had a plan. "But it seems she had a nightmare and her eyes are swollen from crying. I have been ordered to get some hard-boiled eggs."

"Crying?" Lin Changqing was surprised, but he didn't ask any further questions. He waved his hand and said, "Then go quickly."

After watching the palace maid leave and glancing at the west room, Lin Changqing quickly walked into the east room.

Yinzhen had already packed up and was leaning on the couch reading a book. When he saw him come in, he asked, "Is it done?"

"It's done." Whenever Lin Changqing thought of his master's order, he felt a little strange. "The imperial kitchen is almost done now. There are only a few things left that need to be made by the imperial chef himself. I just asked for a eunuch with some cooking skills, and they didn't refuse. Now everyone and everything has been brought back."

Yinzhen nodded to show that he understood, and then went back to reading.

Lin Changqing hesitated for a moment, then said, "There's one more thing I'd like to inform you, my master. When I came in from the outer room, I ran into the maidservant in Fu Jin's room. She said Fu Jin had just woken up and seemed to have had a nightmare. Her eyes were swollen from crying, and she was just about to have someone boil eggs."

"Crying?" Yinzhen quickly shifted his gaze to Lin Changqing's face.

Lin Changqing lowered his head again: "That's what the palace maid said."

After hearing this, Yinzhen suddenly remembered how his wife pinched his face and used eggs to remove bruises when he was kneeling in Fengxian Hall.

He put down the book, sat up straight, got up from the bed, and walked west with his hands behind his back, stopping only outside Qi Buchen's bedroom.

Lin Changqing followed beside him and said quickly, "Fujin, the master is here."

The soft rustling sounds in the room suddenly quieted down, but no one responded for a long time. When Lin Changqing couldn't help but ask, he heard Fu Jin's slightly cold voice: "Come in."

Yinzhen stepped forward and glanced at Lin Changqing at the same time. Lin Changqing suddenly had an idea and stopped walking in, and stood guard outside obediently.

Yinzhen turned around the screen, and the palace maids in the room all saluted: "Master."

There was only one person sitting in front of the dressing table, not moving.

"Everyone go down." Yinzhen said in a calm voice.

Baozhu paused for a moment before leading the others out.

Yinzhen walked behind the man who had been sitting still and sighed, "You were wrong when you left this morning. Who offended you?"

Qi Buchen's shoulders suddenly slumped. She turned around and looked up at Yinzhen. Her eyes and nose were red, and her eyelids were swollen like bubbles. She didn't look good at all.

Yinzhen didn't find it ugly at all, but he still said with disdain: "If you cry like this, people will think I bullied you when you attend the palace banquet later."

"I'm sorry." Qi Buchen lowered his head, his voice hoarse, "It's all my fault. I couldn't control myself and took my anger out on you."

Yinzhen clenched his hands lightly behind his back, unable to hold back, and simply followed his heart. He reached out and pinched the chin of the person in front of him, lifting her face up. He saw that the eyes, which were swollen to a slit, were filled with tears again.

Qi Buchen was not used to this kind of contact. He frowned slightly, raised his head to avoid Yinzhen's hand, and apologized again: "I'm sorry."

Yinzhen's hand froze for a moment, then he withdrew it behind his back as if nothing had happened and rubbed it gently.

"You should at least tell me why," he said.

Qi Buchen was silent for a moment before he said, "I just miss home."

Yinzhen also fell silent. It was perfectly normal to miss home on such a day of reunion. Moreover, his wife was still young. When she was officially in his arms, she left home and got married early because of him.

Seeing Fu Jin's increasing generosity lately, I had assumed she was finally putting aside her differences and integrating into the palace. Unexpectedly, she was just a coward, suppressing all her feelings. However, she was still young, and her energy wasn't well-cultivated, so she suppressed it too much and it suddenly erupted.

He squatted down and looked at Qi Buchen: "Now you are my wife, this is your home, do you understand?"

"You can't say you miss home anymore."

If someone with ulterior motives heard it, it would cause another round of trouble.

"When you leave the palace and open your own residence, you can always bring your mother-in-law in whenever you miss her, okay?"

The author has something to say:

----------------------

Yinzhen squatted down and looked at his wife.

Yinzhen: Hey, why can’t I find my wife’s eyes?

Qi Buchen: ...[Takes out a hammer]
