Chapter 128 Imperial Concubine

She paused, looked up at Yongzheng, and asked softly, "Your Majesty, how should we celebrate the baby's third-day celebration and full-month celebration? I think it would be inappropriate to make too much of a fuss about it, as the child is still so young."

Yongzheng pondered for a moment, then gently stroked the back of her hand with his fingers: "The baby's third-day celebration will be held simply in the palace, with only close members of the imperial family and important officials invited. The babies are twins, too young to see too many people."

He said gently, "Take good care of yourself during your postpartum period and recover well. When you are 100 days old, I will hold your investiture ceremony and 100-day banquet together, so that you can fulfill the proper etiquette without being too tired."

Lin Yun came to her senses and gently shook her head: "It's nothing, it just feels like a dream."

She reached out and stroked the sleeping baby in the swaddling clothes, a gentle smile appearing on her lips. "With Your Majesty by my side, I feel very secure."

Yongzheng held her even tighter, his voice low and firm: "I will protect you and will never let anyone harm you in the slightest."

As night deepened, Yanxi Palace was quiet.
