Yue Zhongqi remained calm. After receiving the imperial decree, he simply nodded and said to his deputy, "Since His Majesty has ordered us to garrison this territory, then we will guard it well." He turned and walked to the drill ground to continue training the soldiers, everything proceeding as usual.

Inside the Forbidden City, Lin Yun was not entirely unaware of the ever-changing political landscape at court.
She would occasionally glean some information from the emperor's snippets of conversation, but she never inquired about it proactively.
She knew that there were some things the Emperor didn't want her to worry about. All she needed to do was fulfill her duties, take good care of the children, run the business well, and occasionally share his burdens.
That day, as she was reviewing the accounts of Yunxiang Pavilion, Granny Li hurried in and whispered, "Your Highness, Ninth Master has sent someone to deliver the dividends, along with a letter."
Lin Yun took the letter, unfolded it, and a slight smile appeared on her lips.
In the letter, Ninth Master not only talked about the recent business situation, but also mentioned that he had set up soup kitchens in various places in her name to provide relief to the poor.
She said softly, "Ninth Master certainly knows how to handle people."
Granny Li laughed and said, "Ninth Master is now treating the Empress like a god of wealth."
Lin Yun closed the letter and looked out the window.
The afterglow of the setting sun shone on the palace walls, casting a golden-red hue.
Ninth Master was actually extremely talented in business; you could say they were kindred spirits, it's just a pity they were born in ancient times.
As night deepened, Yongzheng entered Yanxi Palace.
He looked somewhat tired, but the wrinkles between his brows smoothed out when he saw Lin Yun and the two children. Lin Yun poured him a cup of tea and said softly, "Your Majesty has worked hard."
Yongzheng gently held her hand: "With you here, I don't feel tired."
They then tacitly accepted the teacup, drank it all in one gulp, and smiled at each other.
Looking at Yun'er's smooth face, Yongzheng felt a sudden longing. From the time she became pregnant until now, they had never truly been intimate.
Now, his longing was growing wildly like weeds, but reason told him that Yun'er had not fully recovered and he had to be patient.
However, while there would be no main meal, there could be some snacks. Thinking this, his gaze deepened, carrying a hint of restrained fervor.
Lin Yun seemed to sense something, looked up and looked over. The moment their eyes met, her cheeks flushed slightly, and she understood.
She hadn't fully recovered, but seeing him like this, her heart softened and ached.
The poor man must have been pent up for so long.
She smiled, a sly glint in her eyes, and said softly, "Your Majesty, are you tired? Let me give you a shoulder massage."
Yongzheng's eyes darkened, and he sat down beside her, his voice low and deep: "Alright."
Lin Yun raised her hand to massage his shoulders, her fingertips inadvertently brushing against his neck, sending a tingling sensation through him.
Yongzheng's Adam's apple bobbed slightly. He closed his eyes, trying to suppress the agitation in his heart.
However, her breath was so close, her faint fragrance lingering around his nose, making it even harder for him to control himself.
"Yun'er..." he called out in a hoarse voice, grabbing her misbehaving hand.
Lin Yun blinked innocently, "Your Majesty, what's wrong?"
Yongzheng took a deep breath, pulled her closer, pressed his forehead against hers, and chuckled softly, "You're torturing me."
Lin Yun chuckled softly, her eyes sparkling. "How could I dare? I only wish to share your burdens, Your Majesty, seeing how hard you work." She then leaned close to his ear, her breath sweet as orchids. "If Your Majesty doesn't mind, I have another way..."
Before she could finish speaking, Yongzheng had already pulled her into his arms, his voice low and hoarse: "I grant your permission."
The curtains hung low, and the candlelight flickered. Lin Yun's fingertips, as light as feathers, slid from his brow bone to his lips, finally landing on his lapel.
She slowly unbuttoned her clothes, her movements gentle yet captivating. Yongzheng's breathing grew heavier, his gaze fixed intently on her every move.
"Yun'er, don't play with fire," he warned, his voice low and suppressed.
Lin Yun smiled charmingly, tracing circles on his chest with her fingertips: "Doesn't Your Majesty want it?"
Yongzheng could no longer restrain himself, so he flipped her over and pinned her down, kissing her lips fiercely.
The kiss was both domineering and tender, as if it were pouring out all the emotions that had been suppressed for many days.
Lin Yun responded to him, wrapping her arms around his neck and letting him take what he wanted.
After giving birth, Yun'er's figure became more mature and voluptuous, and she exuded a milky fragrance. He couldn't resist even through her clothes, so he took her hand...
After a long while, Yongzheng reluctantly released her, his fingertips caressing her slightly swollen lips, his eyes filled with fervor: "My Yun'er, you've gone astray."
Lin Yun blushed and said coquettishly, "Isn't it all because the Emperor taught me?"
Yongzheng chuckled and hugged her even tighter: "Once you're fully recovered, I'll properly 'teach' you."
Outside the window, the moonlight, like water, quietly spilled onto the glazed tiles of Yanxi Palace, as if adding a gentle glow to the tenderness within this deep palace.
