Qi Fei Qi Jiahai
When she first entered the palace, Qi Jiahai was a palace maid, a maid from the Manchu Bordered Yellow Banner. Among the many bondservants in the Qing Dynasty, Qi Jiahai's family was of lower-middle status.
Qi Jiahai's father was merely a minor official in the Imperial Household Department.
Through a connection with a nanny who served Consort Niohuru, Lady Qijiahai was assigned to serve in Chuxiu Palace. At that time, Lady Qijiahai was only thirteen years old and worked as a cleaning maid in Chuxiu Palace.
Consort Niohuru was made Empress and moved to Kunning Palace, while Lady Qijiahai and several young palace maids of similar age remained in Chuxiu Palace.
Not long after, Empress Xiaozhao, of the Niohuru clan, passed away.
Three years later, Consort Wen entered the palace. Qi Jia Hai was seventeen years old then, and had grown into a rather beautiful woman. She was no longer the lowly sweeping maid she had been; she had become a second-class palace maid.
Consort Wen was unable to have children due to mistakenly taking a fertility-enhancing drug.
At that time, Qi Jia Hai was nineteen years old. Along with three other palace maids, she was selected by Consort Wen and recommended to serve the Emperor, initially receiving the title of "Da Ying" (a low-ranking concubine). Qi Jia Hai knew that Consort Wen's recommendation of them was actually to use them as wombs to bear children.

Consort Wen's younger sister, who later became Consort Xi, also entered the palace.
Later, Consort Wen passed away, and Consort Xi also died after childbirth. The mountain that had been weighing on Qi Jia Hai and her family finally fell, and Qi Jia Hai breathed a long sigh of relief.
In that same year, Lady Qijiahai became pregnant and, with the full strength of the Qijiahai clan, finally gave birth to a healthy baby boy safely.
Because of this robust young prince, Emperor Kangxi bestowed upon Lady Qijiahai the title of Noble Lady, a promotion that went beyond her rank.
After Qi Jia Hai's child turned one year old, he was taken to the Prince's Residence to be cared for by wet nurses and palace maids. Qi Jia Hai was quite at ease about this, because her clan had already arranged for people to be stationed there.
Although it was a small family, they could barely manage to protect a prince with all their might.
Qi Jiahai had considered having another prince or princess, but her womb was not cooperating and she could not conceive for a long time, so she gradually gave up on the idea.
A few years later, Qi Jiahai was granted the title of Consort Qi. The character "Qi" is a homophone of her surname, Qi Jiahai. However, Qi Jiahai did not care because there were no high-ranking concubines in Chuxiu Palace at that time.
Qi Jiahai was a concubine, which meant she was the head of the Chuxiu Palace.
In terms of rank as a concubine, Qi Jiahai never changed positions; at least during the reign of Emperor Kangxi, and even when he was the retired emperor, she was only known as Consort Qi.
After the death of the retired emperor, Lady Qijiahai was honored as Consort Qi by Emperor Yonghe and moved into the Prince Dun Mansion of her son, Yin'e, where she was cared for by him. Ten years later, Lady Qijiahai passed away at the age of seventy.

Consort Xin, of the Wenzha clan
Wenzha was born into the Plain Blue Banner of the Lower Five Banners.
From a young age, Wenzha was exceptionally beautiful, but due to her humble background, she could only be selected as a palace maid. Her beauty brought her opportunities, but also dangers.
When Wenzha first entered the palace, she was only thirteen years old. Among the young palace maids who were learning etiquette from the nanny, some were jealous of Wenzha's beauty, and there were also some old eunuchs who were always staring at Wenzha.
Living in constant fear and trepidation until the age of fourteen, Wenzha accidentally saved an old woman who had fallen into a lotus pond.
Later, Lady Wenzha learned that the old nanny she had saved was a servant in the imperial court.
To express her gratitude for Wenzha's saving her life, or perhaps because the old nanny was captivated by Wenzha's beauty, Wenzha was brought before the emperor half a month later.
At first, Wenzha was just a lowly palace maid who held a lantern in front of the emperor.
At the age of sixteen, Wenzha had the opportunity to become a tea-serving maid in front of the emperor, and then she served Emperor Kangxi overnight, becoming a concubine.
At that time, there were several palace maids who served the emperor in bed. Wenzha was just one of them who was slightly beautiful and was a relatively new person to Kangxi.
Afterwards, Wenzha was officially granted the title of "Daying" (a high-ranking concubine).
Later, she became a concubine, and then Lady Wenzha miraculously became pregnant. She carefully carried the pregnancy for ten months and gave birth to a very handsome little prince. People in the palace said that Lady Wenzha's little prince had feminine features, which Emperor Kangxi disliked.
Wenzha didn't care about this, because no matter what, she was born after ten months of pregnancy.
Later, the sixth prince, born to Lady Wenzha, was given to Consort Ning, of the Borjigit clan, to raise. Although Consort Ning was from Mongolia, she was very gentle. Whenever Lady Wenzha visited the sixth prince at Consort Ning's palace, Consort Ning never stopped her.
Even Consort Ning later had Lady Wenzha move to Zhongcui Palace.
A few years later, Lady Wenzha was granted the title of Consort Xin.
Lady Wenzha sat in the position of Consort for more than 30 years, watching her son Yintang marry a woman from the Guarjia clan, and watching Yintang have many children and grandchildren. After the death of the Emperor Emeritus, Lady Wenzha was honored by the succeeding Emperor as the Imperial Consort Xin.
Years later, Lady Wenzha lived out her days at Yinzhen's residence.

Xinfei Hillel
Hiller was a palace maid, a maid who served the emperor with writing brushes and ink.
Being chosen to serve the emperor, Hiller's appearance was certainly not bad. While she wouldn't be considered a stunning beauty, she was still a pretty woman with bright eyes, white teeth, and red lips.
Emperor Kangxi was an amorous emperor; his harem was filled with beauties of all shapes and sizes, and the Qianqing Palace also had beautiful palace maids.
As expected, Lady Xile quickly attracted the attention of Emperor Kangxi and was thus able to serve him in bed, becoming a palace maid in the Qianqing Palace. About a year later, Lady Xile was granted the title of "Daying" and was granted residence in the Xianfu Palace.
Because the surname was Hilde, everyone in the palace, from top to bottom, addressed him as "Hilde."
