Chapter 234 Forbidden Foot Sounds

Too cute to bear, Qingyin had no objection to spending her whole life in this world with this little girl.

So he agreed to her confession.

As Qingyin was thinking, she caught a glimpse of a grayish-blue shadow out of the corner of her eye. Upon closer inspection, it was none other than the busy Qin Yi.

He stood at a distance, looking at her with dark eyes. Qingyin saw the desire in his eyes at a glance, and nausea welled up in her heart. She quickly lowered her head to hide the disgust in her eyes.

Just as he was pretending not to see, the man slowly walked over, his footsteps light, yet each step carried the oppressive aura of a mature man.

"You like An Jinghe?" The man's tone was utterly meaningless and extremely cold.

But the terror in his eyes revealed his emotions perfectly.

"Yes, I love An Jinghe and want to spend my life with her." Qingyin said firmly under the man's terrifying gaze.

Qingyin's voice was pleasant, but to Qin Yi it was extremely unpleasant, so unpleasant that even sending the woman Qingyin was talking about to her death couldn't extinguish the anger in his heart.

"General, the young master just has a woman he likes..." Guo Liu, who was standing nearby, saw that things were not going well and tried to smooth things over for Qingyin, but his words of advice only added fuel to the fire.

Qin Yi was so angry that he snapped the railing in half, causing the adjutant who had been gesturing for help to Guo Liu to swallow his words.

The two men didn't know what the general was angry about, but they understood that they clearly couldn't interfere in the matter between the young master and the general.

Qin Yi looked at the stubborn young man who still refused to bow his head under his imposing presence and sneered a few times: "Heh, heh, good. Pass on my order: young master is confined to his quarters and no one is allowed to visit him, not even the madam."

After saying that, the man turned and left, leaving only Qingyin and Guo Liu, who was still reluctant to leave, in the room.

Under Guo Liu's comforting and worried gaze, Qingyin sighed inwardly, shook her head at him, and indicated that he was alright.

Qin Yi's sudden visit today must be because Jing and that girl did something, most likely a marriage proposal. Qin Yi won't do anything to him for now, but the girl will probably worry about him. Qingyin thought to herself, looking at Guo Liu who was still staring intently at her.

He beckoned him over with his finger and said to him, "Guo Liu, now the young master is going to give you a task."

Guo Liu nodded earnestly: "Young Master, you say so, and I guarantee I will complete it."

Qingyin: "If you know any maids in other courtyards in the manor, have someone find a beggar tonight to pass a note to Jinghe."

Guo Liu didn't understand what the young master meant, but he was obedient and did as the young master said.

At the An residence, An Jinghe stood at the gate, pacing back and forth, occasionally popping up to check if her father had returned.

An Jinghe did this for a whole morning. Not to mention the gatekeeper standing at the door, even the maid A Yue, who was standing by serving her mistress, felt that her mistress was exhausted.

The diligent A-Yue wiped the sweat from her mistress's face and suggested, "Miss, don't worry, Master will be back sooner or later. Why don't you sit inside to block out the sun and avoid getting too hot?"

"Ah Yue, you don't understand. I have to stay here so I can be the first to know when Dad comes back. This is a matter of great importance to my life!"

"Yes, yes, yes!" A-Yue teased her young mistress. It was no wonder that her young mistress was so excited. The one who was in love with her was the god-like Qin Miao Gongzi. In the future, she wondered how beautiful her young mistress and her son-in-law's child would be!

The two chatted and laughed, and time slowly passed. But the sharp-eyed An Jinghe spotted the familiar black figure in the distance at a glance, and ran up happily, throwing himself into An Kui's arms: "Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!"

An Kui was deeply moved by his daughter's filial and affectionate actions, but the next second he was speechless because of his precious daughter.

"Dad, when is my wedding with Miaomiao? Tsk tsk, can we get married in the next few days?" An Jinghe asked expectantly.

Knowing that her beloved daughter wasn't doing it for her, An Kui comforted herself. It's alright, the child was just bewitched by Qin Miao's face, she still loves her.

An Kui, feeling jealous, thought to himself, and then looked at his beloved daughter's face and the dejection lessened a little.

Looking at his expectant daughter and the scattered people around him, An Kui patted his head and said to his daughter, "My dear daughter, let's go back to the manor and talk about it."

Although An Jinghe was excited, she didn't lose her head because of love. Looking at her father, who seemed a little embarrassed, she subconsciously sensed that his trip wouldn't go smoothly and the result would probably be different from what she expected.

Thinking it over, An Jinghe calmed down and followed An Kui into the mansion.

Outside the mansion, the crowd of onlookers saw that General An Kui and his daughter's expressions had cooled down, and assuming that nothing had happened, they all left.

Back at the mansion, An Kui recounted everything that had happened that day to his daughter.

An Jinghe listened quietly, but anyone could see the annoyance in her heart from her tightly furrowed brows.

Indeed, An Jinghe felt something was strange. Her father wasn't very bright, so his intuition was unusually sharp. That made Qin Yi's attitude towards his future mother-in-law and his marriage to her and Miaomiao seem odd.

But An Jinghe was, after all, still an unmarried woman, and she didn't have the wild imagination to think about how she could develop feelings for someone she had raised for so many years who wasn't her son but was more like her own.

An Jinghe just has a subconscious feeling that something is wrong, but he can't explain it.

He could only pace back and forth anxiously.

Just then, as dusk fell in the afternoon, An Jinghe fell silent, holding a white note secretly given to him by a beggar.

“Since it was sent by A Miao, there must be a reason.” An Jinghe looked at the pure white note in front of her with a strange expression. Suddenly, she remembered that Qingyin had mentioned that the aster flower would reveal writing under the firelight.

"Ah Yue, bring me a candle."

"Yes, Miss, the candle is here." Ah Yue handed over a brand new candle.

The firelight shone on the paper, and in a short while, the paper, which had been completely unmarked, revealed the hidden writing. An Jinghe's face also flickered in the candlelight.

In the Qin residence, Qingyin folded a piece of white paper, thinking that Jinghe should have received his secret letter by now. Now she just had to wait for the brave female warrior to rescue her hidden, weak fiancé.

Night slowly descended, and the boundless blackness tightly enveloped the enormous Qin Mansion, shrouding everything in darkness and making it impossible to distinguish any other colors within.

In the courtyard, the boy lying on the bed had obediently closed his eyes, covering his captivating and stubborn gaze, but his exquisite and flawless face was still deliberately exposed, enticing outsiders to covet it.

Qin Yi slowly approached the bed, his footsteps silent. He reached out a hand and quietly approached the boy on the bed, but stopped abruptly with strong restraint. Finally, he stared at the boy on the bed with a complicated gaze for a while before quietly leaving.

After everyone left, the handsome young man on the bed had opened his eyes at some point, revealing a pair of captivating and alluring eyes. His exquisite body instantly came to life.
