Chapter 293 Looking for Trouble

When the girl saw the familiar young man, a smile appeared on her face, a smile that was completely different from the one she showed in front of him.

Zhou Shiwei was so angry he felt like his back teeth were about to shatter; his heart was broken into pieces.

His mind was filled with nothing but curses, but this time the target of his curses had changed; it was no longer Qingyin, but Duan Heng.

Before leaving, Duan Heng gave Zhou Shiwei a cold look and said, "I will tell General Zhou about what happened to Young Master Zhou today."

Hearing the kind words, the boy, who had been brimming with energy to curse his rival, became dejected.

Duan Heng, who had just walked out of the store with Qingyin in his arms, gave Jiang Lingya and the other two a cold look.

Jiang Lingya rolled her eyes at him, annoyed. What a stingy guy! Sister Ahua hasn't even said she'd marry him, yet he's so controlling. She put her arm around Lin Dahua and Lin Anxi and walked to the carriage they had come from.

“Sister Ahua, the carriage the prince brought is too small. You can sit with the prince. Sister Dahua, Sister Anxi, and I will sit in the carriage we came in.”

Looking at the carriage that Duan Heng brought, which was half again as big as the one she had brought, Qingyin sighed inwardly, thinking that Sister Jiang was getting better and better at lying through her teeth.

Duan Heng glanced at Jiang Lingya with satisfaction, then looked down at Qingyin with a wronged expression.

Qingyin, who could tell what he was thinking at a glance, gave him a helpless look and said, "Alright, I'll get in your carriage."

Outside the carriage, Chen Che watched as the young girl intimately boarded the carriage with him, a hint of disappointment flashing in his eyes. Chen Mo, the bodyguard who had come with his master, immediately noticed his emotions.

Whether he was trying to comfort himself or Chen Che, he whispered a reminder: "Miss Lin is not someone like us can covet, Chen Che."

Chen Che lowered his head and silently thought to himself: I know.

But how can the mud on the ground resist the urge to admire the bright moon when it sees it in the sky?

Inside the carriage, the girl immediately found the most comfortable spot and leaned back.

Duan Heng watched the scene with a smile in his eyes. He skillfully peeled the dried fruit that Qingyin had recently been liking on the table—Nanhuai pine nuts. He silently handed the peeled pine nuts to the girl's mouth.

Qingyin habitually opened her mouth, her full lips brushing against the man's hand almost imperceptibly for a moment.

Duan Heng felt a slight itch on his fingertips and, without the girl noticing, rubbed his fingers where Qingyin had touched.

In no time, Qingyin had unknowingly eaten more than half a bag of pine nuts under Duan Heng's feeding.

Just as she was about to ask for more, the man smiled and stopped her, saying, "Pine nuts are too heaty, you can't eat too many. You can have some more tomorrow, Ahua."

Qingyin wasn't completely disobedient. She nodded lazily. It was fine if she couldn't eat; she could have a big meal prepared by the chef that night.

Looking at the obediently nodding girl, Duan Heng felt as sweet as if his heart were filled with honey.

Therefore, when he thought of the person who had angered the girl, he became even angrier.

Looking at the girl leaning lazily in the chair, Duan Heng looked at Qingyin seriously and said, "Ahua, I will explain today's matter to you."
