Chapter 324 Identity Exposed

The Prince Dun's Mansion, with its towering mountains and flowing water, pavilions and towers, was built according to the Third Prince's wishes. Among them are some rare green plant ornaments, which shows the Prince Dun's extravagance and money-making ability.

No wonder people say that the Third Prince's private treasury is comparable to the national treasury.

Led by a servant, Qingyin caught glimpses of the luxurious furnishings out of the corner of her eye and secretly marveled at the Third Prince's "money-making ability".

No wonder even Emperor Chongzhao coveted his son's treasure trove.

The maid led Qingyin through a series of complicated corridors, walked straight for a while, then turned left and then right, and finally stopped at the entrance of a courtyard.

She bowed her head respectfully and said, "My lord, our prince is waiting for you inside. He prefers quiet, so we won't go in. Please come in, my lord."

Qingyin nodded, indicating that she understood.

Stepping into the courtyard, Qingyin felt as if she were still in early spring. The entire courtyard was planted with a large peach grove, and the pale pink peach blossoms were in full bloom. She wondered what method the prince had used to keep the peach trees blooming.

Qingyin walked into the depths of the peach blossoms, and in the circular pavilion in the middle, wasn't that the eccentric, young, and handsome Prince Dun sitting there?

Prince Dun gazed at the beauty emerging from the peach grove in the distance, his eyes half-closed in admiration, and said in a strangely lingering tone, "Sit down, Lord Xieyin, the new darling of our court."

Qingyin frowned almost imperceptibly, wondering what the Third Prince was up to: "Your Highness is too kind. I am unworthy of such praise."

Looking at the young man whose brows were slightly furrowed, yet whose beauty was uniquely captivating, Prince Dun smiled, but his expression instantly turned cold: "Lord Xie, please don't be so modest. Otherwise, why would you suddenly target my business?"

Prince Dun looked at Qingyin coldly, his eyes filled with interest yet also seemed to conceal murderous intent.

Qingyin was not frightened by Prince Dun's sudden change in expression.

She sat down calmly.

Suddenly, she smiled, her face as radiant as a spring flower. Even Prince Dun, a prince accustomed to seeing beauties, was momentarily stunned.

Qingyin looked at Prince Dun and said with a smile, "Your Highness, Lin Bichen is one of your men, isn't he?"

Although it was a question, Qingyin's tone was one of certainty.

Prince Dun did not answer directly. He raised his eyebrows, looked at the young man sitting there like a painting, and smiled, "Lord Xie does have a handsome face."

Qingyin didn't even blink: "The prince is quite handsome too."

"Heh, you really have a sharp tongue." Prince Dun chuckled, becoming even more interested in the exceptionally handsome young man before him.

"Your sister has a grudge against Lin Bichen, right? You want to avenge her and bring Lin Bichen down?"

Prince Dun looked at the composed young man in front of him and asked a question, but his tone revealed no emotion.

Qingyin was not surprised that Prince Dun was able to find out these things.

He calmly looked at Prince Dun and said, "So Your Highness should know that you should give up on Lin Bichen as soon as possible, and I will definitely send him to his death."

Prince Dun paused, having not been threatened like this in a long time. He found himself unusually interested, perhaps because the young man before him was too handsome, or perhaps because he was a rare intelligent man. He propped his chin up with interest and smiled, "Xie Yin, I can give up Lin Bichen. Weren't you raised by a courtesan? Why don't you dance for me? Maybe if you dance well, I'll agree."

Qingyin looked at him, her long, thick eyelashes fluttering like a small fan: "Okay."

An ordinary person would feel humiliated, but Qingyin felt nothing and agreed.

Prince Dun smiled.

Qingyin walked into the empty peach blossom forest. There was no moving song or musical instrument. The only accompaniment was the sound of the wind blowing the peach blossoms and the almost inaudible pattering of the blossoms falling to the ground, but it did not diminish the beauty of the dancer.

Amidst the scattered peach blossoms, the stunningly beautiful dancer was like a light butterfly falling into them, every movement perfectly executed, breathtakingly beautiful. This left Prince Dun, who had been watching from the beginning, mesmerized, a special emotion welling up in his eyes.

As Qingyin finished her dance, his applause echoed through the empty peach blossom forest.

"If Lord Xie were a woman, there would be no man in the world who could escape her."

After the dance, Qingyin, her eyes still brimming with allure, deliberately glanced at him and asked, "So, Your Highness thinks I'm not good enough now?"

Prince Dun, who was startled by Qingyin's gaze, was taken aback. A smile appeared on his lips as he stared intently at Qingyin: "Indeed, Lord Xie's charm is probably irresistible even by gender."

Qingyin didn't look at Prince Dun again, suppressing the seductive look in her eyes and reverting to her previous aloof demeanor: "Please remember what Your Highness promised me earlier."

Prince Dun looked at the boy whose expression had returned to normal, and a sudden wave of displeasure welled up in his heart, but he would not change his promise, so he nodded.

The servant who had disappeared earlier reappeared out of nowhere, whispered something to Prince Dun, and then stepped aside.

Qingyin watched as Prince Dun's expression suddenly changed, turning cold. He glanced at her, then became happy again. She couldn't understand whether this crazy prince had lost his mind and become so eccentric.

"Ahem, Lord Xie, there's no need to rush off. Why don't you stay here for a cup of tea before you go?"

Qingyin: "Then thank you very much, Your Highness."

Having already agreed, Qingyin wasn't in a hurry to leave immediately, and she stopped in her tracks.

Walking through the Prince Dun's mansion, the hurried young girl felt a little strange seeing the steward's attentive gaze, but she still quickened her pace out of concern for Qingyin.

...

Inside the pavilion, Prince Dun looked at the girl who was running towards him, and then at Qingyin, whose expression remained unchanged. He smiled slightly and said, "Why did you come in such a hurry, my dear sister? You're all sweaty."

Jiamin glanced at the boy sitting by the pavilion, who showed no signs of injury, and her earlier worries eased slightly.

Forcing herself to remain calm in front of her third brother, she said, "It has been a long time since I last saw you, brother. I miss you dearly."

"Is that so?" Prince Dun smiled meaningfully.

Qingyin noticed the girl's nervousness and fear, and understood. She sighed inwardly. No wonder the guards around her were so capable. She had thought she was the daughter of some member of the imperial family, but it turned out she was a princess, Princess Jiamin. It must have started from the day she was paraded through the streets. No wonder Emperor Chongzhao disliked her so much.

Then the previous plan changed.

Qingyin lowered her head and politely bowed to Jiamin: "Your humble servant Xie Yin greets Princess Jiamin."

"Your Highness, I have other matters to attend to, so I will take my leave now."

Seeing that his goal had been achieved, Prince Dun stopped trying to stop her and nodded to Qingyin.

Meanwhile, Jia Min, who was standing nearby, noticed that Xie Lang's attitude towards her had changed and he seemed more distant. A sense of unease rose in her heart, as if if she didn't change something, she and Xie Lang would never be together again.

So Jiamin chased after her.

Prince Dun frowned as he watched the scene unfold.

Jiamin genuinely likes Xieyin.
