Chapter 82 Meng Jingxian

Upon returning to the system space, Qingyin immediately shed her sickly appearance. She felt a sense of relief; the life of a sickly beauty was truly unbearable, and she was finally back.

After expertly transferring the points to her account, Qingyin glanced at the several zeros on her debt and felt a wave of dizziness. It seemed she still needed to earn more.

"Master, let the next wisher in."

"Okay, Yinyin."

A cloud of mist dissipated, and a woman dressed in dark blue appeared before them.

Her gentle and elegant appearance, along with the gorgeous headdress, all revealed that she was of high status.

Because of the system space, she understood why she had come. Her expression was somewhat wistful, and a tear fell from the corner of her eye.

"My lord, I am Meng Jingxian, the concubine of Prince Guo. My father is Meng Dase, the Duke of Pei. I have been obedient and sensible since childhood. My only act of rebellion was waiting for Prince Guo." As she said this, a bitter look flashed in Meng Jingxian's eyes, and she choked up as she continued.

“I waited from sixteen to twenty years old. I don’t regret this forced marriage, but it’s a tragedy for my child. He is so young and has been forced to lose his mother.”

“I am a fool, I fell for their scheme, and drank the poisoned wine to die in place of the prince’s bastard child. I hate the empress, I hate the prince, but my child has lost its mother.”

Meng Jingxian couldn't help but cry out, for her child who had lost his mother, and for herself who had waited bitterly for years.

"What is your wish?" Qingyin asked gently.

Her eyes were resolute. "Since the prince has cuckolded me, I will cuckold him too. I want you to become the emperor's woman, and my child Yuan Che, I will protect him for life."

"Okay, sign it." A contract appeared before Meng Jingxian's eyes.

Meng Jingxian signed the document without hesitation, then walked to the River of Time and lay down. Qingyin also closed her eyes.

— — — — — — — —

In the tenth year of the Yongzheng Emperor's reign, Meng Jingxian had become a concubine of Prince Guo and gave birth to a son, Yuan Che, in the same year.

Qingyin lay on the bed, feeling the lingering pain after childbirth. She immediately took a postpartum pill and a beauty pill, and the dense pain in her body disappeared.

"Master, are you feeling unwell?" Yulan, the maid Meng Jingxian brought from the Prince's mansion, looked at her with concern.

Qingyin waved her hand, "It's nothing, just a little stomachache."

"My lord, perhaps I should ask the palace physician to take another look."

"No need, Yulan. This is a normal reaction after childbirth. There's no need to call the physician again."

"Where is the prince?"

Upon hearing this, Yulan's eyes flashed with anger and worry. Her mistress had given birth to a little prince, yet the prince didn't come to see her and instead went to see Consort Yu!

She said cautiously, "My lady, the Prince has been summoned away by the house next door. They said that Consort Yu is ill and they need his help..."

"Forget it, there's no need to talk about Yulan." A hint of sarcasm flashed in Qingyin's eyes.

The prince is truly a passionate and devoted man. Since he loves Zhen Huan, why does he bother with other women? He should just stay by Zhen Huan's side for the rest of his life. Moreover, he even chose women from the emperor's harem. She doesn't believe he didn't have some ulterior motives.

Yulan glanced at Qingyin a few more times, and seeing that her mistress wasn't as angry as before, she assumed that her mistress was heartbroken by the prince and that was why she wasn't angry.

"Yulan handed me a mirror."

"Yes, Master."

Qingyin took the bronze mirror handed to her by Yulan and carefully examined the face. Meng Jingxian's appearance was obviously dignified and elegant, but her frequent sadness had added a few fine lines to her face. After Qingyin came to this body, her slightly upturned phoenix eyes had a strange liveliness, making her even more attractive.

Since becoming the emperor's woman is extremely difficult with just the status of a married woman, she must improve her appearance.

Before Qingyin could put the mirror down, the original owner's husband walked in.

"Xian'er, I'm here. Yu Yin fell ill suddenly, so I'm a little late. You won't blame me, will you?" Prince Guo stared intently at Qingyin with his amorous peach blossom eyes, but there was a hint of smug certainty hidden in them.

He was proud of this woman who had given the least but loved the most. Unfortunately, Jingxian was not his type. Thinking of this, he thought of Huanhuan, who had returned to the palace and given birth to his twins. His eyes were also lost in thought when he looked at Qingyin.

He might have restrained himself a bit if it were someone else, but what did it matter when it came to Jingxian, who loved him the most?

It must be said that there is a reason why Prince Guo could become the most charming man in the palace. He was tall and slender, with an extremely handsome face, especially his deep and affectionate peach blossom eyes, which made people unable to resist falling in love with him.

Qingyin noticed that the person in front of her was distracted. She said calmly, "It's good that Your Highness came to see me. It's also a big deal that Consort Yu is sick. Your Highness should take good care of my sister so that she won't worry too much. I'm fine."

Prince Guo raised an eyebrow, assuming that Jingxian was jealous, which was why her words sounded a bit off. After coaxing her a few more times, he glanced at Xiao Yuanche and left.

"Master, aren't you going to stop the Prince? He's taken over that room in Changqing Pavilion again!" Yulan said indignantly.

Qingyin pretended to be heartbroken and lowered her head, saying, "Your Highness's heart is not here, so how can I keep you? Never mind, I still have Yuan Che now."

The oldest nanny, Granny Ma, looked at Qingyin with pity. She was a nanny who had come from Meng Jingxian's maternal clan and had watched her grow up since childhood: "It's good that you understand, Mistress. A man's heart is the hardest thing to control. Now that you have a little prince, if you manage his affairs well, your good fortune is yet to come!"

The atmosphere in the inner room only began to lighten and become pleasant when the young prince was mentioned.

The lively Yulan said happily, "My lady, the little prince looks like he inherited the best features of both you and the prince. He looks so handsome, he's sure to be a heartthrob in the capital in the future."
