He carried the woman for a long time, and the sky still seemed just as dark.
The man suddenly wanted to say something to the woman on his back.
"are you hungry?"
There was no response from behind. The man frowned slightly, glanced back, and realized that the woman on his back had fallen asleep at some point.
Dorjee quietly observed the unfamiliar woman for a long time. If it weren't for Hailanzhu, he probably would have had some interaction with her in his life.
Dorjee finally stopped at a dug hole and gently placed the sleeping woman on the only spot covered with grass as a bed. He quietly looked at her for a while.
To ensure the woman wouldn't suddenly wake up again, the man quietly slipped out once more.
Early the next morning.
When Qingyin opened her eyes, she could already feel the light shining through her forehead. She opened her eyes in a daze and realized that she was lying in a bare cave. Apart from the grass under her, the cave was empty.
Qingyin looked around; the man who had tied her up was no longer there.
Qingyin tentatively stood up, intending to walk out into the light.
At the cave entrance, a large, bronze-colored hand reached out and grabbed Qingyin's hand as she tried to part the weeds.
The two hands, one white and one black, create a striking contrast.
Where do you want to go?
Qingyin: "..."
Qingyin felt guilty. "I'm just scared to be alone, so I wanted to wander around."
"Now that I'm back, will Lady Zhalute no longer be afraid?"
The man chuckled softly.
Qingyin nodded, daring not to speak her anger. Who told her to lie like that just now?
Forced to obediently sit back down on her haystack bed under the man's gaze.
The man then calmly sat down opposite Qingyin and pulled out a bloody, gutted wild rabbit.
Qingyin watched as the man built a fire and started roasting a rabbit with a thick branch. At first, Qingyin didn't want to watch, but as the flames grew bigger and the aroma of the roasting rabbit began to spread, Qingyin, who had only eaten half a pancake the night before, couldn't help but feel the aroma of the food. Her eyes involuntarily drifted towards the fat rabbit that was roasting.
The man glanced at Qingyin out of the corner of his eye, a slight smile playing on his lips beneath his mask.
"I suppose a certain princess would look down on the rabbit roasted by a kidnapper like me?"
Qingyin swallowed hard and replied dryly, "It's still acceptable at this time."
The man was taken aback by Qingyin's words, not expecting the woman to be so shameless in responding.
With a slight smirk, she said, "You're quite different from those ordinary noble ladies."
She's quite shameless, but also quite cute.
Qingyin didn't care what the man thought. Seeing that the rabbit in his hands was almost cooked, Qingyin skillfully sat down next to him, looking at the dripping, oily rabbit with longing, and tentatively asked, "Can we eat it now?"
man:"……"
Not wanting to tease the shameless wife any longer, he decisively took a few clean leaves, placed two torn rabbit legs on them, and handed them to Qingyin, saying with a hint of sourness, "Eat quickly, after you finish eating you still have to hide from your dog-like husband."
"Your husband is like a dog with a nose; I almost couldn't shake him off no matter how hard I tried."
Qingyin listened, then secretly glanced at the kidnapper. She withdrew her hand, which had originally been about to ask the man for a rabbit wing, and continued to eat her rabbit leg obediently.
The man caught a glimpse of Qingyin's movements out of the corner of his eye, and frowned slightly. "What else do you want?"
Qingyin, feeling guilty yet bold, said, "I also want a rabbit wing."
"You've got some nerve."
Despite saying that, the man still deftly tore off a rabbit wing and gave it to Qingyin.
The rabbit the man caught was quite plump, weighing about four or five pounds. Qingyin was already full after eating only two rabbit legs. She wanted to eat rabbit wings simply because the man was a good cook and she was craving them.
Seeing that Qingyin finished the rabbit leg and only took two bites of the rabbit wing, her movements becoming slower and slower, the man understood that Qingyin couldn't finish it.
A cold smile appeared on his lips. "Hmph, you can't finish your food and you still keep eating. You're both greedy and stupid."
Qingyin, who was being scolded: "..."
Hmph, secretly glaring at the man when he wasn't looking.
After speaking, the man snatched the rabbit wing from Qingyin's hand, quickly devoured the remaining rabbit, and revealed his face beneath the mask.
To be honest, the kidnapper wasn't ugly at all; in fact, he was quite good-looking.
His face wasn't just conventionally handsome; it possessed an exotic, refined quality. However, his slightly drooping eyes carried a hint of sharpness, which diminished the approachability of his face.
Have you seen enough?
"No, no."
Qingyin answered subconsciously.
The man smiled.
"Dorje".
"?"
Qingyin looked at him with a puzzled expression.
Dorje stared intently at Qingyin, like a viper eyeing its prey, his fangs slightly bared: "Dorje, my name."
Qingyin nodded dryly, "Oh."
"You were once the Khan's woman, and now you're married to one of his ministers. You accept it? You don't regret it?"
Dorje suddenly asked a question out of the blue.
Qingyin looked at him with a puzzled expression. "Nan Chu is very good to me."
Dorjee: "Heh."
It's all his fault for asking that extra question.
"We've finished eating, let's go quickly."
Dorjee's tone turned fierce again.
Qingyin didn't know why Duoji was unhappy again, but the faint itch on her face made her reach out and scratch it.
Dorjee was about to leave with Qingyin again when he noticed the redness on the skin that Qingyin's hand had touched.
His eyes turned cold.
He grabbed Qingyin's hand tightly.
He rubbed the mud off Qingyin's face, revealing large red spots underneath.
