Chapter 354 Physical Discomfort

Bian Lan returned to her room, looking completely out of sorts, which was worrying to see.

Brother Liu happened to have a question he didn't understand and wanted to ask Bian Lan for advice, but when he knocked on the door there was no response, and the door wasn't locked, even though he clearly saw Bian Lan go in to look!

"...Brother Bian, Brother Bian, are you alright?"

Brother Liu knocked for a while longer before Bian Lan finally regained her senses.

"Come in!"

When Brother Liu came in, he was surprised to see Bian Lan in such a half-dead state. It was the first time he had ever seen Bian Lan like this.

Bian Lan was a good student and worked hard, which earned her the respect of her classmates. She was gentle and kind, and they had never seen her in a bad mood.

That's why this appearance is so rare.

"Brother Bian, are you alright?"

Bian Lan mechanically shook her head: "It's nothing, Brother Liu, why did you come over?"

He originally came to ask her some questions, but now that she's in this state, Brother Liu naturally can't get anything out of her.

"I was just passing by your room and saw that it was unlocked, so I came in to sit down. If anything has happened, Brother Bian, please tell me. Don't keep it to yourself."

Bian Lan: "Thank you for your kindness, Brother Liu. I guess I'm not feeling well. I'll be fine after a rest."

When she said that, Brother Liu knew she had no intention of telling him anything. He didn't think anything of it; everyone has things they don't want to talk about. So, he tactfully said, "In that case, I won't disturb Brother Bian's rest."

Bian Lan nodded: "Yes, I'll apologize to Brother Liu later."

After Brother Liu left, Bian Lan lay on the bed, her expression inscrutable, her mind filled with countless thoughts. She even considered telling Mo Chenyu her thoughts directly, thinking that given his upright and honest nature, he probably wouldn't report her even if he knew she was a woman.

But after thinking about it for a long time, Bian Lan still didn't have the courage.

Even if she could keep her true gender a secret after revealing it, how could she guarantee that Mo Chenyu would like her? She knew her own limitations; at most, she had twenty more years of modern life than others. Without those, she was just an ordinary person.

Mo Chenyu is handsome and refined, with such extraordinary looks, how could she be sure that he would like her?

Too many uncertainties left her speechless and unable to express herself.

As I was thinking, I suddenly felt sleepy and fell asleep while lying down.

Brother Liu was troubled by a problem and couldn't calm down. Fortunately, Mo Chenyu's study was not far away. Although Mo Chenyu was the vice dean, he was very approachable and would answer students' questions whenever he had free time.

So he went to Mo Chenyu's place.

Mo Chenyu had just seen his older brother off when he heard a knock on the door. At this hour, Bian Lan should be here. Thinking this, Mo Chenyu unconsciously smiled and said, "Come in."

Brother Liu came in, carrying a book in his hand.

When Mo Chenyu saw that the person who came was not Bian Lan, he felt a sense of loss for some reason.

"Is there something you need?" Mo Chenyu asked, his smile fading, though his tone remained gentle.

Brother Liu did not notice the change in his attitude. After all, Mo Chenyu was aloof and it was hard to tell whether he was smiling or not.

"I have met Dean Mo. I have a few questions and have come to ask him for his guidance."

Mo Chenyu nodded and then answered his questions.

After finishing speaking, Mo Chenyu remembered that the person in front of him seemed to be quite close to Bian Lan, so he asked, "Have you seen Bian Lan?"

Brother Liu said, "When I came here earlier, I went to Brother Bian's room. He seemed to be feeling unwell and didn't look too good."

Bian Lan was somewhat lost in thought upon hearing this: "Oh, I see. You go back first, I understand."

Brother Liu then left.

The study fell silent once again. It was still early outside, but I couldn't concentrate on the book in my hand.

After sitting there blankly for an hour, Mo Chenyu pushed his wheelchair out.

Mo Ting was outside the door. When he saw him come out, he asked, "Young master, where are you going?"

Mo Chenyu: "You stay here, I'm going out for a walk."

He could operate the wheelchair manually, and he had walked around on his own before. When Mo Ting heard him say this, he stopped and said, "Then young master, please don't go too far."

Mo Chenyu nodded and left.

Destination: Bian Lan's residence.

At this time, many people were not in the dormitory, so Mo Chenyu could hear the wind in his ears, as well as the warmth and restlessness of the transition from spring to summer.

The window was open when Bian Lan lay down. Mo Chenyu looked through the window and saw Bian Lan's radiant face in the sunlight. At that moment, he suddenly felt like he was going crazy.

He didn't know how long he stared before he came to his senses, and then unconsciously walked forward. When he reached the door, he pushed it open and went inside.

Bian Lan was still asleep, her face was a little pale, and it was clear that she was not feeling well.

Mo Chenyu stared at her for a long time.

Bian Lan frowned and unintentionally let out a soft "hmm~", as if she was feeling unwell. That sound made Mo Chenyu blush.

He felt he must have really gone mad, otherwise how could he be so out of control?

Mo Chenyu sat in a wheelchair, with Bian Lan on the outside of the bed, within Mo Chenyu's reach. Mo Chenyu reached out and stopped just before touching her face.

What is he doing?

Bian Lan is a man, exceptionally talented, with a bright future ahead of him. He will likely marry a virtuous and kind woman and have two lovely children...

And him? He's just a cripple who can't walk properly, yet he had such absurd thoughts; it's truly inexcusable.

At this very moment, Mo Chenyu was right beside Bian Lan's bedside, and he could no longer deceive himself.

Actually, he should have realized it a long time ago. A month ago, he felt that something was wrong with Bian Lan. He had a dream at that time, and the face of the person in the dream was that of his student who he spent every day with. The two were not much different in age, but the genders were wrong. They were both men. How could this be?

Then, looking down, he saw that his pants were stained.

Because of this dream, he was even cold to Bian Lan for a few days, but seeing her rather sad expression, Mo Chenyu couldn't stay cold anymore.

Now, seeing the person lying obediently in bed, Mo Chenyu had never hated being unable to do it so much. For a moment, Mo Chenyu wondered why he wasn't born a woman.

In her sleep, Bian Lan felt as if she were bound by a thousand-pound iron rock, falling downwards. Her body felt light and airy, her lower abdomen was swollen and painful, and she felt as if she were in a state of chaos, unable to open her eyelids.

She instinctively clutched her stomach and curled up her legs, groaning, "Ugh~"

It's so painful...

Mo Chenyu snapped out of his daze and frowned. What was wrong with her? She seemed to be in real pain. Just as he was about to go out and call someone to fetch a doctor, Bian Lan suddenly turned over, turning to face him with her body facing inward.

The blanket barely covered her stomach. He thought he would cover her with the blanket first before going out, but as soon as he reached out, his eyes froze on a certain spot.

He was completely stunned.

Why was Bian Lan bleeding from her buttocks? There were marks on her pants and the bed. Mo Chenyu panicked. How could she have been injured without saying anything? He was about to wake her up and ask her what happened when a memory suddenly flashed through his mind, leaving him completely stunned.
