Chapter Sixty-Four: Blocked

After the nanny left, Minyi's face showed a mixture of despair and resentment.

Given the current state of Wuya's family, what good place could she go if she left the palace? She finally managed to enter the palace and finally had hope, but Consort De wanted to send her away. How could she not feel despair and anger?

Helpless, Minyi could only slowly begin packing her things. The next day, the nanny who served Consort De came over again.

"Has Princess packed everything?"

Minyi didn't actually have much stuff, and she replied listlessly, "Everything's already packed."

"That's good. I'll escort the princess out of the palace this afternoon."

Minyi could no longer hold back her tears.

The old nanny saw this, but showed no sign of softening her heart. The palace had no tolerance for soft-hearted people. However, as if she had thought of something, she said, "Princess, don't blame Her Majesty for letting you leave the palace. You don't know what our Fourth Prince is like. He is the most ruthless. Back then, Her Majesty begged the Fourth Prince to let the Wuya family go, but the Fourth Prince went against Her Majesty and cut off the Wuya family's path. If the Fourth Prince didn't want to care about your matter, that would be fine. But you saw what the Fourth Prince said yesterday. If she doesn't send you out of the palace, Her Majesty is afraid she won't get any good treatment either."

Minyi was still somewhat skeptical: "How could that be? Your Highness is the Fourth Prince's biological mother. No matter what, how could the Fourth Prince act without considering Your Highness's wishes?"

The old woman said with a "don't believe me if you don't believe me" expression, "If the Fourth Prince really cared about the Empress, the Wuya family wouldn't be in such a state."

Minyi thought about it for a moment and felt that what the old woman said was somewhat credible. It was indeed the Fourth Prince who personally ordered the fate of the Wuya family.

Seeing that Minyi was somewhat lost in thought, the nanny said, "There's still half a day left. You should get ready! I'm going to see the Empress first."

Minyi nodded and saw the old woman off.

After the nanny left, Minyi, feeling reluctant to leave since she would be leaving that afternoon, decided to go for a walk.

However, the palace rules were strict, and she could not leave Yonghe Palace alone, so she could only walk around inside Yonghe Palace.

Inside Yonghe Palace, Minyi came out of a small room and walked for a while before overhearing two palace maids gossiping around a corner.

"Have you heard? That Wuya Minyi went to the Fourth Prince's residence with the old nanny yesterday, but she came back with him."

"I've heard about it too, it's really embarrassing."

"But speaking of which, the Fourth Prince is really heartless. Wuya Minyi is the Empress's niece. He just refuses her like that. Isn't that too disrespectful to the Empress?"

"Who can argue with that!"

"I originally thought that Wuya Minyi would be able to enter the Fourth Prince's harem because of her relationship with the Empress Dowager, but I never expected that she would be less useful than Song Yuerong, who is unwanted by her parents."

...

Uya Minyi heard most of it, but she was too ashamed to show herself, so she turned and left.

Back in her room, she looked at her packed luggage, the words of the two palace maids echoing in her mind, her eyes filled with resentment.

She didn't want to leave so slinking away.

Suddenly, as if she had thought of something, she went to see Consort De. After saying something, Consort De, with a grim expression, ordered that she stay for a few more days.

When Minyi came out of Consort De's place, she was a little pale. She had no choice. Before she entered the palace, her mother was afraid that she would suffer, so she told her some things about Consort De. Originally, she thought she would not need to use them, but she did in the end. It was just that the way Consort De looked at her made her a little scared.

She had to think of a way quickly; she had to stay no matter what.

Since the Fourth Prince and Empress Tong have a good relationship, she should do him a favor and he will surely keep her.

So Minyi made a special trip to Consort De's small kitchen, spent a lot of money to have a pot of chicken soup made, briefly informed Consort De, and then went to the Fourth Prince's residence.

After she left, Consort De said with a mocking expression, "She's quite capable, daring to threaten me. She insists on being the kind of person I dislike, which is truly disgusting."

"Your Majesty, would you like me to..."

Consort De shook her head: "No need. Let her keep her to cause trouble for Yinzhen! Anyway, anyone with a brain knows that some things can't be said. If she says them, she won't get any credit either. Let her cause trouble for a few days. She won't be able to stir up any waves."

The old woman replied, "Yes, Your Highness."

Minyi went to the Fourth Prince's residence with a desperate attitude, but was turned away at the door.

"Princess Wuya, please don't make things difficult for us servants. Our master really doesn't have time to see you these days."

Minyi didn't believe it. She had come at the exact time, during lunchtime. How could she not be free?

"Please let me in. I have something important to tell the Fourth Prince."

The young eunuch was in a dilemma. He had already spoken to Eunuch Su, but when Eunuch Su heard that it was Wuya Minyi, he didn't even report it and directly said he wouldn't see her. The fact that Eunuch Su disliked her so much showed that the master probably really didn't like this person.

Minyi was embarrassed by being rejected several times, but whenever she wanted to give up, the words of the two palace maids would flash through her mind.

Finally, the young eunuch got really annoyed by her and had no choice but to report to Su Peisheng again.

“Steward Su, Princess Wuya still refuses to leave, saying she has something important to report to the master. She is the niece of Consort De, and I really can’t be too forceful. What do you think?”

Su Peisheng didn't expect that this Wuya woman was quite persistent: "I will report to the master. You wait here for a while."

When Su Peisheng entered, Yinzhen was having a meal.

“My lord, Princess Wuya, who came yesterday, has come again today, bringing a bowl of chicken soup. She says she has something important to tell you.”
