Then, when Rulan looked at Xiangxiu again, her smile became noticeably more sincere.
"Miss Xiangxiu's craftsmanship is truly impeccable. I think this dress is quite nice; I will mention it to the princess."
Xiangxiu was satisfied; she had accomplished what her master had instructed.
"Then thank you very much, Miss Rulan."
“It is rare for a young lady to have such novel ideas and to be so devoted to her master. It is my duty to mention it to the princess.”
After exchanging pleasantries, Rulan took the clothes meant for the cat and returned to the courtyard.
As soon as she returned, Ruxue asked, "Why did it take you so long to get your clothes today?"
Rulan replied with a smile, "I met a girl on the way. She stopped me and said she had made clothes for the princess's cat. I found it interesting and wanted to see them. So I waited for her to get the clothes, and after seeing them, I thought they were nice and brought them back with me."
Ru Xue was somewhat surprised upon hearing this: "The clothes the cat is wearing?"
Rulan nodded: "Yes! It's the clothes for the cat."
Ru Xue was also curious about what the cat's clothes looked like, so she asked, "What about its clothes?"
"I just got back. I sent my clothes to the nanny for inspection."
This is a matter of routine. Anything that can get close to the master must be inspected by an experienced nanny to prevent the master from touching anything dirty.
Ru Xue: "I was so eager to see it that I completely forgot about it."
Rulan: "What's the rush? After the examination, we can take it to the princess and look at it together."
Ru Xue thought about it and said, "That makes sense."
