Chapter 1
The sound of rain continued outside the window, pouring in through the school classroom window and landing on Xu Song's arm. The boy looked up at the sound and closed the window.
It was evening study time again, which he disliked the most because he sat in the last row and slept in an extremely arrogant manner.
His two long legs were resting on the legs of the desk, and one of his hands was stained with water when he closed the window, but he didn't care much.
His deskmate and other classmates were also working on their homework. Everyone was already used to his behavior.
Xu Song thought about it for a whole day, but still couldn't figure out why Ning Qingxu had to transfer to a different class in the new semester of his senior year.
Before Ning Qingxu came to Ningcheng No. 4 Middle School, Xu Song had always been his own deskmate.
He didn't have a desk mate, at least in his first and second year of high school. He was considered a "problem student" by his teachers, and he felt that having a desk mate was unnecessary.
Why can't he be left alone for the last semester?
Fortunately, his deskmate was quiet and within Xu Song's acceptable range. He thought about it for a day and finally decided to ask the homeroom teacher to change seats.
"Come in."
With Xu Song's hurried knock on the door and the English teacher's response, the person who came was someone who often came to the office.
The English teacher of Class 30 of Senior High School was named Yu. She was short, a head shorter than her students, so some students nicknamed her "Little Fish."
Although she was not tall, she had a strong and aggressive personality. She was a little surprised to see Xu Song, and her hands stopped grading the papers mechanically.
She sat on the swivel chair, turned around, and said in a cold tone: "Xu Song? What are you doing here?"
It was already dark. There were no other teachers in the office, and the atmosphere was a bit cold.
Xu Song was tall, and he looked down at Yu Liping with a lazy look in his eyes: "Teacher, I want to change seats."
When a new student asks to change seats as soon as he arrives, it always makes people feel that he has something against others.
Yu Liping was so angry that she almost couldn't breathe. She was exhausted but helpless. She met the student's gaze with a sharp look: "You have caused me a lot of trouble in the past few years. Now that a new student has arrived, you ask me to change seats. What do you want others to think? Besides, you are already a senior in high school, you should know better..."
Xu Song stared at the white tiles without blinking.
really.
In the past two years, he has written more self-criticisms than he has done homework.
Xu Song's voice softened a bit, and he said, "Teacher, actually I..."
He was interrupted before he could finish his words: "Alright, stop talking. Don't I know what you're thinking? You just don't like people staring at you and controlling you, so that you can't slack off, right?
...The new deskmate is very good. I arranged you to be with him because I hope you can learn something from him. We can discuss other things, but this one is out of the question."
After saying that, Yu Liping turned back and continued to mechanically correct the test papers, ignoring him.
Evening study hadn't ended yet, and no one looked up when Xu Song came in. The classroom was very quiet, with only the occasional cough from a student.
He walked around the "new deskmate" and sat next to him. He had heard Yu Liping mention his name before and felt vaguely familiar with him.
Since there was no way to change positions and they still had to get along for the next year, Xu Song greeted them for the sake of friendship.
Ning Qingxu responded and continued to write in his exercise book.
Seeing that his new deskmate was also a quiet person, Xu Song didn't say anything.
“Ding Dong~”
A tiny notification sound was heard in the noisy classroom, and Xu Song was sure that it was not his cell phone.
It is quite normal for high school students to bring a cell phone to school. Everyone knows that no one should tell tales, and the teachers also turn a blind eye.
There is an unread message on the phone of my deskmate who just looked like a "good student".
It's a girl's name, maybe this person's partner
Xu Song didn't have the habit of peeking into other people's privacy. He subconsciously glanced at them and then looked away without saying anything.
Ye Lan: You're back at school now. How's your new school? How are your classmates? Are you having trouble adapting?
Ning Qingxu forgot to mute his cell phone, so he hid it under the desk and typed on the keyboard.
Ning Qingxu: We’re here.
The other party quickly replied:
Ye Lan: "Oh, by the way, have you seen Aunt Mu Ya's son? I haven't seen him since he grew up... but I heard he's very handsome. He's also a senior in your school, so please keep an eye on him."
Ning Qingxu let out a breath, and when he looked up, he met the eyes of his new deskmate.
Their eyes met.
Xu Song laughed awkwardly, turned around and touched his pen, trying to find something to do.
He is born with a good appearance, and there is a kind of ruffian spirit unique to teenagers between his eyebrows and eyes, but he looks non-aggressive and very handsome.
Seeing that his deskmate had no intention of reporting him, he lowered his head and typed a line.
Ning Qingxu: I haven’t seen it.
"The generator outputs an alternating current..."
The teacher, whose voice was like a humanoid machine, read out the instructions confidently, but in a low voice.
Xu Song quickly turned off the volume of his phone. Like the fool, he also forgot to tune the volume.
The explanation video has no subtitles, and when the sound is turned off, I have no idea what it is talking about. There is only a sloppy answer.
Xu Song had no choice but to write a big C.
"The alternating current frequency of the generator output cannot be 2 Ω·nz, because the maximum value is Em = NBS·2 Ω·nz. Choose C."
Xu Song was a little surprised. His deskmate, who was chatting enthusiastically with his girlfriend one second, suddenly went crazy and started talking to him about a problem the next second.
Xu Song responded softly: "...Oh."
In fact, he didn't understand anything.
The student sitting in front of Xu Song was the student council member. He stared at a physics problem, pondered for a long time, and finally poked the student council member in the back with a pen.
The student council member slowly turned his head, looking devilish, and asked him in a hoarse voice, "...What are you doing?"
"Xu Song, listen. I've been working on this problem for half an hour. If you have anything to say, please tell me quickly and don't delay me."
“What are the answers to the 24-page multiple-choice questions?”
"ACDDB."
Ning Qingxu patted Xu Song and said softly, "I've finished the big question. Do you want to take a look?"
Xu Song: “?”
This guy's attitude changed so quickly, who provoked him?
Xu Songcai realized that Ning Qingxu was really outstanding. Even if he wore the same clothes, he could be recognized at a glance in a crowd.
Her eyes were beautiful, a deep black with a hint of gray and brown, yet they had a cool, cool air. Her hands were also beautiful, white and bony, with a soft pink tinge at the fingertips and joints.
And...and he always felt that he had seen this person somewhere.
"Then... thank you." Xu Song glanced at Ning Qingxu again and thanked him stiffly. He copied Ning Qingxu's answers exactly as they were in his own exercise book.
He was writing when a cell phone was pressed against his arm - it belonged to his good deskmate.
Ning Qingxu didn't bother him when he saw he hadn't finished writing. Xu Song looked at him, and the two of them stared at each other awkwardly for a while before Xu Song spoke: "You want to... add me on WeChat?"
Ning Qingxu said "hmm" and then said, "Let's make friends."
Xu Song nodded and scanned the QR code to add him on WeChat.
They added each other on WeChat. Xu Song’s avatar was a game character, and his online name was his real name.
