Li Ba, hunched over, stood there without saying a word, and not a single member of the Prison Wolf Mercenary Group dared to raise their head.
His gaze, like that of a venomous snake, swept over the members of the Prison Wolf Mercenary Group.
Everyone who was stared at by Li Ba's sinister gaze felt a chill run down their spine, and lowered their heads even further, for fear of displeasing Li Ba.
Li Ba nodded in satisfaction, then looked at the slaves in the prison cart.
"Two, four, six, eight... a total of twenty-five, well done!" Li Ba praised.
"Thanks to Lord Li Ba, this capture operation went extremely smoothly!" The leader of the Prison Wolf Mercenary Group hurriedly bowed his head and replied.
"Alright! Well done, go collect your reward. Next time I want thirty!"
"Thank you for your generous gift, Lord Li Ba! Our Prison Wolf Mercenary Group will serve you with utmost loyalty and devotion!" The leader of the Prison Wolf Mercenary Group beamed with delight.
"Forget the formalities, capturing more slaves is better than anything else."
Li Ba waved his hand and then gave instructions to the Ye family's guards.
"Send all the people in this prison cart to me."
"yes!"
Four guards from the Ye family stepped forward and pulled the prison cart into the Ye family compound.
Qiao Suinian, standing in the corner of the prison van, coldly watched as the van passed over the Ye family's tall city walls and entered the Ye family's territory.
Qiao Suinian glanced at the interior of the city wall. Compared to the last time he sneaked in and killed Ye Diyun, the Ye family's guards were much stricter this time, with guards patrolling everywhere without any blind spots.
Before Qiao Suinian could observe for a while longer, a guard covered the prison cart with a thick black cloth, blocking the slaves' view.
The prison van then proceeded forward until the black cloth was torn off, at which point Qiao Suinian and the others had been taken to some unknown location within the Ye family compound.
After the prison cart doors were opened, the guards forced the handcuffed and shackled slaves off the cart.

The slaves had no choice but to obediently get off the carriage, their expressions filled with bewilderment and fear.
Then one of the guards walked to a large stone slab in front of him. The slab was made of bluestone and was estimated to weigh over a hundred pounds.
After the guards lifted the stone slab, they revealed a passage leading underground. The end of the passage was pitch black, like a prehistoric beast with its mouth wide open, waiting for everyone to jump in.
Upon seeing this, Qiao Suinian's gaze sharpened slightly. He understood that the truth he was looking for must be right there in the passage in front of him.
"Line up, one after another, and get in obediently. Anyone who dares to disobey will be killed without mercy!"
The Ye family guards drew their weapons, and under their threat, the slaves obediently formed a long line and walked into the underground passage.
Qiao Suinian stood in the very center of the slave procession.
As the group descended, orange-red flames began to appear in the underground passage. Red candles were placed on both sides of the passage, and they flickered with the wind created by the group's movements, creating an extremely eerie and unsettling atmosphere.
Four guards escorted the group of workers to the underground, where they found a laboratory about the size of a basketball court, surrounded by rooms made of iron cages.
Four guards opened one of the empty iron cages and drove Qiao Suinian and the others inside, then locked the iron gate.
After the iron cage was locked, one of the guards shook his head with a strange expression.
"How many batches is this? We've probably brought in over a thousand experimental subjects, and not a single one has come out alive. It's truly terrifying!"
"Stop gossiping! The Eighth Master's authority was personally approved by Young Master Feng. Be careful you don't end up becoming one of them!" another older guard whispered a reprimand.
He knew very well that if he wanted to survive working for the Ye family, the best thing he could do was to talk less, listen less, and do more.
The slaves locked in the iron cages panicked when they heard that thousands of others had failed to leave alive.
They've always compromised and obeyed these people, just to survive, haven't they?
How can they accept being told they're doomed?
"Let me out! You can't treat me like this! What you're doing is inhumane!"
"How could you use living people as experimental subjects? Aren't you afraid of divine retribution? With the end of the world approaching, you still harm your own people like this. You are not even human!"
The slaves began to speak, some of whom were proficient in C programming and began to hurl insults at the Ye family's genealogy, starting with their mother and female relatives.
The guard, instead of being alarmed by what he saw, sneered and spoke.
"I advise you to save your strength, otherwise when Lord Li Ba arrives, you won't have the strength to scream. You might as well look around you."
The slaves were taken aback when they heard this, and only then did they realize that there were people in the other rooms.

Then the woman suddenly stood up straight and ripped her clothes off forcefully.
