Qiao Suinian waved his hand excitedly, and the four little skeletons shoveled the soil even more diligently, causing mud and gravel to pour down in an instant.
"You son of a bitch!"
The pockmarked man below was furious. Even he, in his stupidity, realized that he had been tricked.
But now that he's underground, he has absolutely no way to deal with Qiao Suinian.
He quickly ordered his men to find a way to block the hole to prevent being buried alive, but he could only watch helplessly as Qiao Suinian blocked the exit.
Blanch!
The pockmarked man was furious and slammed his fist on the coffin lid.
At that moment, the blood-red coffin lid slowly opened.
"Hmm? Could this be a case of surviving a great calamity and then being blessed with good fortune?" A look of surprise appeared on the pockmarked face.
They couldn't open that coffin lid even with the combined efforts of several of them.
Just as the pockmarked man peeked out to see what was inside the coffin, a bony hand suddenly reached out from the coffin and grabbed his neck.
The surprise on the pockmarked face instantly turned into terror. The next second, he was pulled directly into the coffin, without even having time to scream.
His men cried out in alarm and rushed to grab his back to try and save him, but it was no use at all. Instead, they were pulled in as well.
After pulling the two men with pockmarked faces into the coffin, the blood-red coffin lid slammed shut again, and then countless tadpole-like runes began to appear on the entire coffin.
Immediately afterwards, the runes seemed to come alive, frantically attacking the living people around them.
Anyone struck by the rune would scream in agony, their flesh melting into yellow pus as they screamed, and even their internal organs were no exception, until in the end only a skeleton remained.
The first underling to come down, upon seeing this horrifying scene, immediately knelt down and kowtowed to the blood-red coffin.
"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to come down and disturb you, I was forced! Please let me go! The one you dragged into the coffin is the real culprit! Please let me go! Please let me go!"
He begged for mercy desperately, but it was to no avail, and soon he was approached by the runes.
The flesh and blood began to dissolve, and the eyeballs, no longer restrained by the eye muscles, fell directly out of their sockets and hung on the cheeks. The whole person gradually turned into bones.
A horrific massacre was taking place deep underground, but unfortunately, this place was not connected to the outside world, and their screams could not reach the thick layer of soil.
"All done! Let's go!"
Qiao Suinian, who was above, was unaware of the strange changes below. After filling the soil in, he stomped on it twice to make sure it was firm before he felt at ease and pulled Han Yueling away.
On their way out, the two encountered many powerful forces from Kyoto who had come to investigate the cause of the blood-red pillar of light.
Fortunately, there were many people, and the crowd was so diverse that no one paid attention to Qiao Suinian and Han Yueling. The two of them managed to slip away under the cover of the crowd.
Meanwhile, more and more forces are gathering in the forbidden area of Kyoto, with almost half of the forces in Kyoto appearing here.
Even the Gu family, the Li family, and Qianlan Pavilion, who arrived later, were stunned. They hadn't expected that a forbidden area could attract so many people.
Now things are in trouble. Even if Qiao Suinian appears openly in front of them, they can't take her away in front of everyone.
"Godfather, what should we do now?" Ye Difeng asked Gu Youyang.
"Let's wait and see! I suspect the strange events in the forbidden area are related to that kid named Qiao Suinian! We absolutely cannot reveal our connection to him, otherwise we will inevitably become the target of everyone's criticism!"
Gu Youyang's face was extremely ugly. Who would believe that they had a grudge against Qiao Suinian now?
Everyone will just think that this is an excuse they came up with to try and take all the treasures in the forbidden area for themselves.
Gu Youyang now only hopes that Qiao Suinian has triggered the strange phenomenon that just occurred, and that he himself dies inside it. This would be the most favorable outcome for the Gu family.
Ye Difeng's expression was also somewhat uncertain. This Qiao Suinian was too difficult to kill. Even with the combined efforts of the three forces in the capital, they still couldn't kill him?
"Damn Qiao Suinian, don't let me see you again...or else!"
A fierce glint flashed in Ye Difeng's eyes. Now that he had recognized Gu Youyang as his godfather, he could use the Gu family's power to kill Qiao Suinian if he had the chance.
"You better not let me catch you, you little rascal..."
Just as Ye Difeng was gritting his teeth, he suddenly caught a glimpse of a familiar figure out of the corner of his eye, and the hairs on Ye Difeng's body instantly stood on end!
"Qiao Suinian!"
Ye Difeng exclaimed in surprise, his face filled with shock.
How dare this guy just swagger out like that?
"Hey, Brother Di Feng! Long time no see, I've missed you terribly!"
Qiao Suinian walked over with a hearty laugh, immediately attracting the attention of many people around him.
"You actually dare to show your face!" Gu Youyang's eyes widened.
At that moment, he saw Qiao Suinian suddenly kneel down on one knee in front of him, cupping his hands in a very respectful manner.
"Lord Youyang, I have not failed you! I have found a secret passage that leads safely to the bottom of the forbidden area. I have investigated it thoroughly for you! What lies beneath the forbidden area is a blood-red coffin, and beside the coffin is a skeleton named Zhang Luochen!"
As soon as Qiao Suinian finished speaking, the entire room fell into an eerie silence.
A deathly silence spread like a plague across the scene. Gu Youyang stared wide-eyed, looking utterly dazed.
