Chapter 60 The Torch Child, Slaughter

The monster was extremely terrifying in appearance; the members of the Tiger Legion felt a chill run down their spines after just one glance.

[Physical Fitness: 35]

[Skills: Meteor Shower, Torch Ghost Insects, High-Temperature Breathing]

[The Torchchild, evolved from the Tower of Flames through devouring its own kind, is hermaphroditic and possesses the ability to manipulate high temperatures. Its combat power is significantly enhanced in extremely hot environments.]

"Level 10! What kind of monster is this?!" Lei Laohu screamed, his eyes almost popping out of their sockets.

This was the first time he had encountered a monster of level 10 since the apocalypse, and its attributes were extremely terrifying, with a total of 252 points.

Keep in mind that an 8th-level Thunder Tiger only has 160 total attribute points, which is nearly 100 points lower than its opponent.

Little did Lei Laohu know that if they hadn't disturbed him, in another hour or two, the Torch Ghost Child would have become a boss-level being, and its attributes would have been even more terrifying.

Torch Child glanced at the Tiger Gang members, then suddenly launched an attack with extraordinary speed. He opened his arms wide, and a rain of fire rained down on Lei Laohu and the others like meteors. This was Torch Child's Meteor Fire Rain skill!

"Mages, archers, and priests, get out of the way! Knights and warriors, all of you, move to the front! Those who aren't dead, hold them off! Assassins, follow me!" Lei Laohu roared hysterically.

He believed that the Torch Child couldn't possibly have used that attack, which had just come with a large mass of molten steel, without expending any energy. Otherwise, the Torch Child would have continued to pelt them with molten steel long ago.

The knights and warriors of the Tiger Legion at the forefront were scalded by the intense heat of the fire rain, and the shield in the hand of a burly man carrying a large shield was burned red.

He let out a strange cry and couldn't help but throw away the shield; his hands were already covered in a row of blisters from the burns.

"Priest, heal him quickly! Where are the mages and archers? Use all your skills on that monster!" Lei Laohu shouted, charging towards the Torch Ghost Child himself.

After reviewing the Torch Child's attribute panel, he quickly devised a rudimentary battle plan. This monster had high spirit and low constitution, so he would definitely have to fight it in melee combat.

Using the cover of attacks from several mages and archers behind him, Lei Laohu successfully darted in front of the Torch Ghost Child.

Lei Laohu's muscles bulged, his entire body covered in grayish-brown skin, and then he suddenly punched Torch Ghost Child.

The Torch Demon Child instinctively raised his hand to block, but a crisp cracking sound rang out, and then his arm slumped down limply, clearly broken.

The assassins of the Tiger Legion unleashed their skills, leaving several bloody marks on Torch Child's body.

Seeing that the tactic had worked, Lei Laohu's face lit up with joy. A look of pain and resentment appeared on the face of the Torch Ghost Child, and then it let out a sharp cry like an old cat in heat.

Accompanied by the Torch Ghost Child's scream, the molten steel from the steel mill behind him flew over and was absorbed into the Torch Ghost Child's body.

Immediately afterwards, the Torch Demon Child unleashed another meteor shower. This time, the meteor shower was even more terrifying, because each meteor was composed of molten steel at a temperature of over 1,000 degrees Celsius.

A deafening roar suddenly echoed throughout the steel mill as molten steel meteors crashed down on the Tiger Gang members, plunging the battlefield into chaos.

Those knights and warriors who were originally at the forefront were already struggling to hold on. If they were hit by the molten steel meteors, they would also be reduced to charred corpses. They could only desperately dodge.

This put the mages and priests behind them in a difficult position. Their agility was already inferior to the other four classes, and they were also fragile. If they were even grazed or touched by the molten steel meteor, they would die.

Before the meteor shower was even halfway through, nearly ten more members of the Tiger Gang were burned to a crisp.

"Warriors and knights, forget about the back row, come over here and kill this monster together!"

Lei Laohu was filled with regret. If he had known that after dealing with the aliens outside the steel mill, he would still have to face this behemoth inside the steel mill, he would never have brought his men to the steel mill.

But if he retreats now, the losses will be even greater; he must kill the Torch Demon Child in front of him to salvage some of the damage.

Under Lei Laohu's command, the surviving warriors, knights, and assassins of the Tiger Legion no longer cared about the three classes in the back row and charged towards the Torch Ghost Child together.

Once abandoned by their teammates, mages and priests are nothing but cannon fodder on this kind of battlefield, and they will be wiped out in no time, leaving only a few archers with high agility to survive.

Above a steel pipe in the steel plant, a silver fire dragon lay quietly, taking in everything.

Seeing the Tiger Gang members rushing towards him, Torch Ghost Child's ugly face showed a look of anxiety.

He was well aware that he couldn't allow so many people to get close to him, otherwise even he would be surrounded and killed.

Seeing that there was no time to create distance, Torch Ghost Child let out a shriek and then released his last skill, Torch Ghost Worm!

Suddenly, the blazing flame above Torch Ghost Child's head rose into the sky, then transformed into a blood-red mist that rushed towards Lei Laohu and the others.

Lei Laohu took a closer look and was instantly terrified!

This wasn't some red mist at all; it was clearly a dense swarm of red insects. These creatures were about two fingers thick, covered in stiff hairs, and were flapping their wings toward Lei Laohu and his companions. Their two enormous, serrated teeth gleamed coldly.
