Chapter 239 A Loan for a Bright Future (8)
Changqing never expected to have guests visiting his hometown.
He was stunned when he saw the two familiar people in front of him. Yes, Zhao Yong had come, and Sui Jing was with him.
"Old classmate, come in, come in and sit inside."
Changqing was surprised to see the two of them for a moment, but then greeted them with a big smile.
Sui Jing's face turned pale.
Zhao Yong was also furious, and the two of them stood there without moving.
"Ning Changqing, why did you go back to your hometown? Your phone is off, and we can't reach you. This is very irresponsible of you, and it's delaying our business plans!"
Zhao Yong began to criticize.
Sui Jing stared intently at Chang Qing, as if trying to see a hole through him.
Changqing's expression remained unchanged. He helplessly shrugged and said, "The debt collectors are too aggressive. They said they would come to my door to investigate, which scared me so much that I quickly canceled my lease and ran home."
"As for turning off my phone... well, I get too many spam calls every day, so I just turn it off for some peace and quiet."
The explanation is reasonable!
Zhao Yong opened his mouth, but found that he couldn't refute it.
Sui Jing was anxious and stepped forward, asking directly, "Ning Changqing, are you aware that so many elderly people in your village are taking out online loans?"
Upon hearing this, Changqing nodded: "I understand."
However, his expression was somewhat strange. "Sui Jing, how did you know? This has nothing to do with you, right?"
Sui Jing was taken aback.
Zhao Yong reacted quickly, saying, "We heard from others that you helped these old men and women get loans, right? Aren't you harming yourself and others? How can they possibly repay these loans?"
Changqing waved his hand dismissively.
"If you have the money, you pay it back; if you don't, you don't. In the end, the debt is settled when the person dies."
He spoke casually, but Sui Jing's expression changed.
Isn't this just exploiting loopholes?
Zhao Yong also started to panic. "Then why did you write my name as the recommender?"
Changqing laughed, "When I borrowed money back then, didn't you tell me to put your name on the loan, saying you had connections and could get a rebate? By the way, did you get the rebate this time? No need to thank me, just give me half."
Zhao Yong felt a lump in his throat.
Rebate?
This is obviously a bad debt, why would they take a rebate?
Changqing, however, didn't care at all about their disgusted expressions. Instead, he chuckled and said, "Come, come, it's rare that you still remember your down-on-your-luck classmate. Come inside and sit down."
He grabbed Zhao Yong and started walking back, and Sui Jing had no choice but to frown and follow.
Changqing kept talking, and he said with emotion, "You guys really understand me. I didn't bring anything. I told you, the village has everything we need. My grandfather is also in good health and doesn't like the food in the city. When you come to visit, you can just leave empty-handed. As long as you're here, the sentiment is there."
There are quite a few people here.
Zhao Yong looked embarrassed. He really hadn't thought of these things. After all, it was too rushed. Sui Jing rushed over early in the morning. When she heard that something big had happened at the company, both of them suspected that it was related to Changqing, so they rushed over to find out what was going on.
Grandpa Ning saw Changqing leading people over at the door and came out as well.
Changqing solemnly introduced, "Grandpa, these two are my high school classmates, Zhao Yong and Sui Jing. They've come to see you."
Grandpa Ning was naturally very welcoming, especially when he saw that there were female classmates present, he was all smiles.
Changqing didn't care about anything else and led the person into the living room to sit down.
"Changqing, go cook. The guests are here. I'll go to town to buy some meat."
Grandpa Ning gave the instructions.
However, Changqing stopped him.
"No need, Grandpa, they're in a hurry to leave. Let's just sit down and chat."
He poured two glasses of water for the two of them and sat down beside them.
Then, Sui Jing and Zhao Yong heard him pour out his grievances. Chang Qing acted like a debtor, unemployed, extremely disappointed person who could only hide in his hometown and drift through life. He talked about his school days, his entrepreneurial days, and his present life. As he talked, he became emotional and his eyes reddened.
Suddenly he stared at Zhao Yong.
"Zhao Yong, why am I the one suffering so much? Tell me, are you deliberately trying to frame me?"
Zhao Yong was startled.
Before he could respond, Changqing looked at Sui Jing again.
"Sui Jing, we're not exactly close, are we? What are you doing at my house? Tell me!" He suddenly slammed his hand on the table. "Did you frame me? Did you all conspire to frame me?"
Sui Jing was startled.
Even Zhao Yong's heart skipped a beat.
"Changqing, you're drunk. I... how could we...?"
He tried to persuade him, but then realized that Changqing hadn't been drinking at all.
Has this guy gone mad?
Zhao Yong's expression changed.
Changqing, however, had already stood up. His eyes were red, and he grabbed Sui Jing's neck with such force that she instantly felt like she was suffocating.
"Sui Jing! You vicious woman! All I did was reject you, you ugly thing! How dare you harm me!"
"Die! Die!"
He was shouting like a madman.
Zhao Yong was startled. Seeing Changqing acting like a madman, he was so frightened that he kept backing away and didn't dare to go up and pull him away.
Fortunately, Grandpa Ning came downstairs at that moment.
Taking advantage of the opportunity when the old man pulled Changqing away, the two of them scrambled out of the Ning family home.
"Damn! Is that kid really crazy?!"
Zhao Yong glanced back with lingering fear and muttered something under his breath.
Sui Jing was even worse off, running until she was completely out of breath.
There was a clear ligature mark around her neck; just now, she truly felt a sense of terror, as if she were about to lose her life.
"Go, go quickly!"
She was panting, but kept walking past Zhao Yong.
The two ran a few more steps, but had to stop.
Dozens of elderly people carrying hoes and sticks came towards us.
"What are you doing here? Why have you come to our village?"
One of the men, with white hair and a vigorous expression, stared warily at the two, while the others dispersed and surrounded them.
Sui Jing was terrified.
Damn it, this is just an ordinary village, could it be a mafia operation?
Zhao Yong quickly explained, "I, we are..."
Before he could finish speaking, Changqing's voice came from not far behind him, "They are my classmates, my second uncle, they are not here to collect debts."
Zhao Yong and his companion turned around in surprise.
Changqing seemed to have recovered and was walking out of the house.
Upon hearing this, the group of elderly people immediately dispersed.
Changqing stepped forward and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, I was too impulsive just now. Since you're already here, come over and have a meal before you leave."
As soon as he approached, Sui Jing quickly hid behind Zhao Yong.
Hearing him say that, she quickly shook her head, "No, no, it's not necessary, I..."
She was truly terrified of this place and was now filled with regret. If she had known it was so barbaric, she shouldn't have come.
Zhao Yong was also feeling guilty.
"We have other things to do, so we won't eat. Changqing, you should take good care of yourself."
The two fled in panic.
