The city lights are on full display at night.
On the 27th floor, by the floor-to-ceiling window, a man and a woman sat facing each other, their youthful faces beaming with happy smiles. On the table were several snacks that an average person could only afford with almost a month's salary.

The young man raised his hand and fed a spoonful of pastry to the girl opposite him. His voice was as gentle as a summer breeze brushing against the willow branches, causing the girl's neck to immediately turn red.

That person isn't even her biological brother, yet he's more controlling than her parents. If she hasn't come home by 10 PM, he'll nag her and might even try to contact her. It's unbearable.
Li Jingxing immediately smiled.
"Look at me, I almost forgot. Last time your boyfriend came to the bar, I almost got beaten up too."

"Yan Qiyu, come to the company. I'm calling an emergency shareholders' meeting; I have something important to announce!"
The voice on the other end lacked the usual worry, instead carrying a hint of distance, which made Yan Qiyu even more uneasy. Without saying a word, she got up and started dressing.
"Qiyu, what's wrong? What happened?"
Li Jingxing was somewhat taken aback to see her in such a hurry.
"My brother, Yan Changqing, asked me to go to the company, saying he has something important to announce."
"I'll go with you!"
Li Jingxing jumped to his feet, looking nervous. Then, he seemed to realize that he had been too hasty, scratched his head, and chuckled awkwardly.
"I... I'm afraid he'll bully you."
Yan Qiyu felt something was off. In the past, she would have naturally wanted Li Jingxing to come with her, but after what happened last night, she didn't really want him to go.
"I can do it myself."
She quickly put on her clothes and hurriedly went out the door.
