Chapter 513. Me and My Men (7)

Chapter 513 Me and My Men 7

“He didn’t make me attend those useless classes yesterday either.”

"I'm doing this for your own good."

"Then thank you."

"You're welcome."

Ning Yan took deep breaths to calm her turbulent emotions, but she couldn't calm down at all.

She ripped off the covers, lifted her nightgown, and straddled the man. In a few quick movements, she stripped off his clothes and forcefully pushed his head down, giving him a good beating.

Just as the man was overcome with lust, she jumped out of bed and rushed out of the master bedroom, ran to the guest room next door, and locked the door.

Tan Weifeng was stunned when she abandoned him.

But his dazed state only lasted a moment. He quickly came to his senses, got dressed, and went out to look for someone. Unfortunately, the guest room door was closed as if it had been welded shut, and he couldn't open it at all.

This person stood at the door like a fool for a while, and finally gave in and went back to the master bedroom.

For the first time in his life, Comrade Wei Feng suffered from insomnia.

The next morning, Ning Yan appeared at the dining table on time, full of energy. The man sitting opposite her was still neat and tidy, except for two big dark circles under his eyes.

I really want to laugh.

But she had to hold it in.

After breakfast, the man stood in front of Ning Yan, waiting for her to straighten his clothes and say goodbye.

Ning Yan pretended to be a virtuous woman, straightening his tie. When he wasn't paying attention, she suddenly tiptoed and kissed him on the cheek, then ran away, not giving him any chance to criticize her.

Tan Weifeng blushed at his wife's adorable appearance. He quickly glanced at the servants in the living room and, seeing that they had already turned away, he breathed a sigh of relief. "Ahem, well, housekeeper, I'm going to work now."

After saying that, he turned to the car that was already waiting by the door with a blank expression.

The butler watched the gentleman leave, his eyes full of smiles.

...

At the company, Tan Weifeng came to work with a sullen face. His assistant was particularly good at reading his mood and knew that he was in a bad mood today, so he spoke in a low voice. The company had just been taken over and there were many things to deal with every day. Even if he was in a bad mood, he had to force himself to get into work mode.

But the HR manager had a tough time. With a new boss, HR is often the busiest person. Tan Weifeng's requirement was that you could slow down, but the decisions you made had to be correct.

But the personnel department clearly failed to do its job; if they can't do it, they should replace them with someone more capable.

As a result, the HR manager, who was originally in charge of layoffs and recruitment, was dismissed before he could complete his task.

Ning Yan had no idea how ruthless Tan Weifeng was at the company. When she got home, her parents were at work, which made it convenient for her to laze around. She spent the whole day in bed playing on her phone. When her parents came home from get off work in the evening, they found that there was a little fairy in their house.

"Wow, this is truly the first time in history that I've come home to find a meal waiting for me."

It wasn't that the original owner couldn't or didn't want to do it, but rather that they didn't have the opportunity.

My parents' jobs don't require them to work on weekends. My dad works in the logistics department of the traffic police brigade and can leave work on time every day.

My mother works as a sanitation worker and clocks in on time every day. After get off work, she goes to the traffic police station, which is only 300 meters away, to meet up with my husband and then they drive home together.

The original owner used to work overtime frequently, and she rarely even saw the sun. How could she cook?

But after saying that, Ning's mother fell silent. "Where's my son-in-law?"

"I'm at work, I'm busy."

"You two didn't have a fight, did you?"

Ning Yan wondered if her mother was being too sensitive.

"We didn't argue. We just got our marriage certificate, we haven't had the wedding yet. I'll stay at home for a few days first."

Ning's parents aren't stupid. They had just gotten their marriage certificate and were in the prime of their relationship when their daughter suddenly came home. This meant she must have been mistreated at her husband's house.

The two exchanged a glance and understood each other's thoughts. They both fell silent, pretending nothing had happened, determined not to stab their daughter in the heart.

"You're right. There's no reason for a daughter to live at her husband's house if the wedding hasn't been held. It's rare for you to cook, so I'd like to have a good taste."

Ning's father had planned to secretly ask his son-in-law's grandfather about what was going on with the young couple that night, but unexpectedly, his good son-in-law came to visit shortly after they finished cleaning up.

But this son-in-law doesn't quite resemble the one from the day of the marriage proposal.

As soon as the door opened, the man spoke calmly, "Father-in-law, Mother-in-law, I've come to take Ning Yan home."

Ning's father still remembers the day his son-in-law came to visit. The boy's eyes were clear and innocent, just like a child's. He blushed every time he spoke, and his words were sweet. He called him "Dad" right away, which made him very happy. How did he become his father-in-law and mother-in-law today?

If he regretted it and wanted to return the goods, which is why he changed his story, it doesn't seem like he would come to the house as soon as his daughter returned.

"Wei Feng, come in quickly, have you eaten dinner yet? If not, let Yan Yan get you something to eat first."

"I've already eaten, no need to trouble yourself, I'm just here to pick her up."

Ning Yan sat on the sofa with her legs crossed, glancing at him sideways. "I'm not going back tonight, you go back."

She thought that given the man's personality, he would turn around and leave, but to her surprise, he not only didn't leave, but also changed into slippers and walked into the living room to sit down next to her. "Then I won't leave either. I'll stay here tonight. Thank you for your trouble, parents-in-law."

Ning's mother looked at her daughter and then at her son-in-law, and finally said something fair: "You two young couple, if you have any problems, talk them out face to face. Don't be so narrow-minded and keep misunderstanding each other. How can you live your life like that?"

Ning Yan said helplessly, "Okay, Mom, I'll go back with him now."

Tan Weifeng also stood up, buttoning up his suit jacket again. "I apologize for disturbing you, Mother-in-law. I was rude today. I will come to apologize to you another day."

He arrived in a panic, without even bringing a gift, something he had never done before in his life. At that moment, he felt his face burning.

"What are you saying, child? There's no need for apologies. I'm so happy that you came to pick up Yan Yan so quickly."

This shows that the child still cares about their daughter quite a bit; the two children must be careful not to have a falling out.

Ning Yan left with the man.

No one spoke the whole way. The two of them sat on the left and the other on the right, with enough room for three more people to sit in the middle.

When they got home, the housekeeper asked them if they had eaten, and Tan Weifeng indeed hadn't eaten yet.

When he got home from get off work and found Ning Yan wasn't there, he immediately ran back to his wife's house to pick her up.

The housekeeper busied himself preparing the meal, but Ning Yan ignored him and went straight back to her room.

She thought the man would go to his study to work after dinner, but he didn't. She had just finished showering when the man pushed open the door and entered.

"Let's talk."

Ning Yan: "Okay, what do you want to talk about?"

The two sat down on the sofa, and Ning Yan was still drying her half-dry hair.

Why didn't you message me today?

"I don't want to post it."

"Then why did you run away last night?"

Ning Yan didn't answer so quickly this time; she was considering her words.

"You're being too biased."

We're clearly the same person, just with different personalities, different characters, yet you ignore me.
