Chapter 259 The Early-Death Fisherwoman in the Hong Kong Variety Show World - Passerby A (8)

A month passed in the blink of an eye, and the new batch of interns had all settled in. Everyone started competing with each other, whether intentionally or unintentionally. You know, good departments only recruit a few people each year. Although Jiang Yue noticed the strange atmosphere, she wasn't thinking about that these past few days.

Her younger sister, Jiang Xin, is about to take the college entrance examination. A few days ago, Jiang's mother called Jiang Yue and said that Xin Xin's condition has not been very good recently. They don't know much about these things and wanted Jiang Yue to call her sister and give her some advice.

Jiang Yue didn't make a phone call. It was Friday, and Jiang Yue had asked the hospital for leave, planning to go home over the weekend to see what was going on. Fortunately, nothing unusual happened today. In the afternoon, Jiang Yue told Dr. Ai Ou and took a car home.

It was quite late when Jiang Yue got home. She hadn't been home for a while since her internship. Her family was there when she arrived; her older sister and brother had brought their children. Everyone was concerned about how Jiang Yue's internship at the hospital was going, whether she had been bullied, or if she was very tired.

Jiang Yue told them about the situation at the hospital and shared some funny things that happened there. Her home wasn't big enough to accommodate so many people, so her brother and sister's families went back to their own homes that night and planned to come back the next morning.

That night, Jiang Yue slept with her younger sister. The two sisters had a heart-to-heart talk, and Jiang Yue found that Xin Xin's problem wasn't serious; she was just a little too nervous about the upcoming exams. The two had an open and honest conversation, and with Jiang Yue's intervention, the nervousness quickly dissipated.

The next day, the whole family had a reunion dinner. Seeing that Xin Xin was alright, Jiang's parents were relieved. Jiang Yue didn't stay at home for long and went back to work the next day. However, after Jiang Xin finished her exams, the family planned to stay with Jiang Yue for a while.

For the next two weeks, Jiang Yue went to work as usual, and her younger sister Jiang Xin also finished her exams. Her results should be good, and she should have no problem getting into the accounting major she wanted. A few days after the exams, the family came to Jiang Yue's place. Jiang Yue had something to do that day and couldn't leave, so they took a taxi to get there.

Fortunately, Jiang Yue's family had a puppet, so Jiang Yue didn't have to run back to open the door for her family. At noon, Jiang Xin and her parents came to bring Jiang Yue lunch. They also wanted to see where Jiang Yue worked. When Jiang Xin saw her wearing a white coat, she even thought about giving up accounting and studying medicine.

After dinner, Jiang Yue took her family on a tour of the hospital, visiting only the areas they were allowed to go. She didn't take them to any places that were prohibited. Before leaving, she told them to come back early if they had nothing else to do, but whether they could leave work on time depended on luck.

God didn't bless her today. She took a break to call home and told them to eat first and not wait for her. She didn't finish until after 11 p.m. A group of police officers came and were attacked. Because they were short-handed, Jiang Yue also went on stage to be an assistant.

When Jiang Yue returned home, her parents were still waiting for her. Her grandmother and younger sister, one being old and the other exhausted from playing all day, had already gone to sleep. Seeing Jiang Yue return, her mother quickly greeted her: "Little Yue, is this how it is every day?"

Jiang Yue hung up her bag and took off her coat: "Today is a special case; most of the time it's just a little later than usual."

"Sigh, I should have never studied medicine. It's ruined my health."

When Mr. Jiang brought out the food, he heard Mrs. Jiang's words and hurriedly said, "Don't talk nonsense. What isn't hard work now? Yue'er is busy right now that she's just started in the hospital. It will be fine in a year or two. After she learns her skills, she can open her own private clinic and be her own boss. That would be so respectable."

"Yue'er, don't listen to your mother's nonsense. Do your job well at the hospital."

Seeing that Jiang's mother was about to argue with Jiang's father, Jiang Yue quickly interrupted, "Mom, what delicious food did you make today? I'm starving. Let's eat first."

"Stir-fried Chinese sausage with kale, dry-pot tofu, and pork ribs with pickled plum. Would you like Mom to make you some soup?"

"That's enough, that's enough, we can't finish all of this."

During dinner, Jiang Yue shared what happened that day with her parents. After dinner, Jiang Yue's parents went to wash the dishes, and Jiang Yue took a quick shower and went to bed. When Jiang Yue woke up the next morning, her mother had already prepared breakfast. She had originally planned to wait for them to come and stay with her for a few days, but recently there have been many more patients who need care, so they probably wouldn't have time. Fortunately, they had come quite a few times before, so Jiang Yue could only have Jiang Xin take them sightseeing.

Jiang Yue secretly had Bai Ze send a few puppets to follow her. Recently, things have been quite chaotic here, with gangsters and ruthless bandits. Jiang Yue had told them to come later if she had known. After arriving at the hospital, Jiang Yue saw Zhuang Sir in the distance. He must have come to see those policemen. It seems that there were other main characters as well.

According to Bai Ze's understanding, several police chiefs have been brought into this world. There's only one position, so who will get it in the end? The main problem is that their advantages are all similar, and they are all impeccable in their dealings with others, making it even more difficult to determine a winner. However, it seems that this Inspector Zhuang is still stronger.

Jiang Yue hadn't originally planned to get involved with these main characters, but sometimes things just happen to be so coincidental. When Jiang Xin was shopping with her parents, they were harassed by a few thugs. And wouldn't you know it, they ran into Inspector Zhuang with his girlfriend, and he helped them out of the predicament. What a coincidence!

Jiang Yue knew about the incident immediately, but because the puppet was quite far away, it only took Zhuang Sir a few steps to get there. Seeing him go, Jiang Yue sent one of the puppets to follow the thugs. Who knew if he would have any thoughts of revenge? Even if he didn't dare to retaliate, a few words of flattery wouldn't make Jiang Yue use force, but she would definitely beat them up.

After the thugs left, Jiang Yue's family thanked Officer Zhuang. Jiang Yue watched her younger sister's unbearable appearance remotely. Well, at least Jiang Xin looked safe. Jiang Yue wasn't worried about her younger sister being targeted by him. Seeing them get into a taxi to go home, Jiang Yue disconnected and stopped looking.

The next day, Jiang Yue took a day off as compensation for her recent overtime work. The family finally had a proper meal together. During the meal, Jiang Yue suggested that Jiang Xin stay at her place. Her place was close to HKU and much more comfortable than the dormitory. Most importantly, she could keep Jiang Yue company.

Jiang's parents asked Jiang Xin for her opinion. Jiang Xin had no objection at all; she was overjoyed. The family had stayed there for more than half a month before deciding to go home. There wasn't a single familiar face around, and they couldn't even find anyone to play cards with. Jiang Yue asked Jiang Xin to take the family home. Jiang's father was initially reluctant, but since the three of them were all getting on in years, Jiang Yue was worried and had no choice but to agree to let Jiang Xin take them home.
