Chapter 503 The Abandoned Celebrity Assistant (Passerby A) 6
After choosing the car model, Jiang Yue ordered one online and bought some things she would need for the road trip. It took her about half a month to get everything sorted out.
Because she was traveling with her dog, Jiang Yue prepared a set of her own things as well, and also made preparations for the inconveniences that might arise when traveling with a dog, such as hotel check-in, since some hotels and restaurants do not allow pets. She was mentally prepared for this.
In the few days that I was preparing for my road trip, my neighbor Zeng Li finished her college entrance exams. A few days ago, she went out to play with her classmates. When she learned that Jiang Yue was also going out to play, she wanted to go with her if she hadn't promised her classmates. She wasn't afraid that Jiang Yue would sell her out.
It started raining on the day they were about to set off, but Jiang Yue didn't plan to change her departure time. Before leaving, she checked everything to make sure she hadn't forgotten anything, then opened the car door and ran up to the car. Once inside, she was very well-behaved and went to the back seat on her own.
Jiang Yue got into the car, fastened her seatbelt, and set off. This time, her destination was Xishuangbanna. She didn't do any planning along the way, and her main idea was to just go wherever she could and have fun.
They arrived in Zhengzhou the first night, so Jiang Yue stopped there and planned to stay for a few days before leaving. She selected some pet-friendly hotels and then asked Bai Ze to call and inquire. Sometimes, some hotels advertise that pets are allowed, but that may not be the case when you arrive. It's better to communicate in advance.
Fortunately, Jiang Yue was lucky; she found a suitable place on her third call. The big data comparison showed reviews from previous guests, so it should be fine. She didn't have to worry about the situation where she could stay on the phone but couldn't after arriving at the place.
After arriving at the destination, Jiang Yue parked the car, put on a backpack, and took Bianbian into the hotel. The hotel staff here were very dedicated and made all the arrangements perfectly. Apart from the price being a bit higher than other places, there was nothing wrong with it. However, not all pets are like Bianbian. Putting aside everything else, it was quite difficult to clean up the pet hair when staying here. They deserve to earn that money.
After settling in, I planned to take a shower. Driving all day was quite tiring. After showering, I went out for a walk, looked at some nearby restaurants, packed some food to go back to the hotel, ate, and went to bed early. I need to get up early tomorrow to eat spicy soup.
The next morning, Jiang Yue took Bianbian out of the hotel. After running, they found a local-recommended hot and sour soup shop. The shop was packed, so she and Bianbian didn't go in. Instead, they packed a hot and sour soup and a few steamed buns to take back to the hotel to eat.
After dinner, we drove around aimlessly. Although the history and culture were similar to the world we had experienced before, the specific people and shops were quite different. Many historical figures had changed. Apart from the very famous ones who remained the same, many lesser-known people had undergone some changes.
Every time she travels through different worlds, she goes through this process again, and Jiang Yue has to familiarize herself with it all over again, otherwise she'll easily run into problems when chatting with others. Fortunately, Bai Ze is always with her, so she can manage.
At noon, we found a restaurant based on the must-eat list. It was a reliable one that we had selected. After lunch, we lay down in the car for a while, and then continued shopping in the afternoon. The dog was tired after a day of playing.
She rested for the second day, taking it easy since she wasn't in a rush. After the third day, she didn't do as much exercise as the first day, basically going to one place a day. After staying at the hotel for a week, Jiang Yue checked out.
She didn't plan to leave. A campsite recommended on Douyin was recommended, and she planned to stay there for a few days before leaving. The scenery was quite beautiful. She found a supermarket, bought some meat, vegetables, and snacks, and then drove off.
When they arrived, there were a lot of people and a bunch of kids. Jiang Yue was worried about the noise, so she changed to another place. But there were still a lot of people there. At least there were fewer kids here. In the end, she stayed here. The facilities here are quite complete.
Jiang Yue set up the tent, quickly prepared the ingredients she had brought, and then began grilling the meat.
Bianbian lay obediently to the side, her eyes fixed on the food on the grill.
The aroma gradually filled the air, attracting the attention of many people nearby. At this moment, a young man came over, curiously looking at Bianbian, and asked, "This dog is so cute, can I pet it?"
Jiang Yue nodded in agreement. The young man scratched the side of his head and said with a smile, "My name is A-Qiang. I often come here to camp. Is this your first time here? If you don't understand anything, just ask me."
Jiang Yue knew that the person had come over to chat and make friends, but she didn't seem very enthusiastic. The person was also quite tactful; seeing that Jiang Yue wasn't interested in making friends, they left.
After the two of them finished eating, Jiang Yue cleaned up the mess and then took Bian Bian for a walk by the lake. There were quite a few fishermen there, and if Jiang Yue hadn't brought nothing with her, she would have liked to go fishing for a while.
At night, Jiang Yue lay in her tent, listening to the faint chirping of insects outside, and fell asleep. However, she was awakened in the middle of the night by a noisy commotion. It turned out that a group of young people were making a ruckus after drinking too much.
Jiang Yue felt a little helpless, put on her headphones and went back to sleep. The next morning, Jiang Yue got up early to watch the sunrise, and the scenery made her feel great.
After stretching her body a bit, Jiang Yue didn't go for a run because there's nowhere to shower after sweating from running. There's a breakfast shop not far from the campsite, and Jiang Yue didn't plan to cook. She decided to walk over and buy some food to burn off the dog's energy, otherwise it wouldn't sleep until it was tired at night.
After spending two days at the campsite and finishing the food she bought, Jiang Yue packed up her things and continued her journey. She wasn't sure where her next stop would be; she would just decide where she would stay for the night. When she passed a garbage station, she disposed of the trash she had generated while camping. The trash cans at the campsite were all full, so she had to take her things out to clean them up.
Jiang Yue traveled and stopped frequently, taking a month to reach her destination. The first thing she did upon arrival was to find a hotel, but this time it was not easy as most hotels did not allow pets. However, Jiang Yue had a backup plan: if she couldn't stay in a hotel, she would choose a guesthouse.
Jiang Yue found a guesthouse with a nice environment and high ratings and rented it for half a month. Since she was already here, she wanted to have a good time. The first thing she did after settling in was definitely to have a big meal.
She took out her phone, opened Douyin (TikTok), and started searching. Then, Bai Ze filtered the search results, removing shops that overcharged customers by posting fake reviews. She then ranked the shops and chose the one closest to her. And off she went!
There were still quite a lot of people this season, mostly parents with their children. It makes sense, since it's holiday time now. When she arrived at the place, there were quite a few people, and Jiang Yue had to queue for a while. When it was her turn, she ordered a few signature dishes. There were some minor issues with the dishes, but the price was acceptable.
