Chapter 512 Natural Disaster Game World Passerby A 6
After going upstairs, Jiang Yue didn't dare to wander around. Who knew if the floor was sturdy or not? She took out paper and pen and made a note of the surrounding terrain, so that she wouldn't be caught off guard if she had to run away someday.
After putting the map away, Jiang Yue glanced at the surroundings, marking the locations of the villa, warehouse, parking lot, and shopping mall. She planned to check these places out when she had time. Jiang Yue thought that the gasoline and diesel fuel shouldn't follow the real world's model; otherwise, finding a car would be impossible, and even if she had a good car, she wouldn't have enough fuel to start it—that's a bit of a bug, isn't it?
After going down from the rooftop, Jiang Yue searched the houses that hadn't been burned down, but she couldn't find a single craftsman's studio or anything like that. She also couldn't collect a single battery, and the cell phone she had collected that morning was completely useless. If it weren't for finding a mechanical watch, she wouldn't even have anything to tell the time.
When she got down to the fifth floor, the place was already scorched by the fire. Jiang Yue didn't want to go into any of the houses with open doors. She mainly wanted to find houses with their doors closed. Unfortunately, she couldn't find any. Jiang Yue was too lazy to look at the houses below the fifth floor, so she simply changed to another building to search.
Around noon, Jiang Yue came out of the residential area with her inventory full and her backpack full of things. She put the extra items on the trading channel, but unfortunately the trading channel had fixed a bug, so it was a bit of a shame that it couldn't be used as a temporary warehouse.
Not far to the east of the residential area are villas. From the rooftop, there seem to be a lot of zombies over there. Jiang Yueyi, being skilled and daring, decided to give it a try. She thought she might be able to find a car in the villa area. She wasn't too optimistic about the parking lot, so she decided to check the warehouse and the villa area for anything.
The main problem is that after being here for so long, we haven't found a single decent bicycle. It's not just Jiang Yue; there aren't any on the trading channel either, and none of the other living people have any. This is a bit strange. This is a big city, not a small village. You can't just not find one here.
Jiang Yue guessed that the survival game might have removed the vehicles, otherwise it wouldn't make sense. If, as Jiang Yue had guessed before, the official authorities of this world took them away, how could they take these things away and still cause so many deaths? That's clearly unlikely.
After thinking about some random things, Jiang Yue continued towards the villa area. Regardless of whether there was anything there, once she had searched the area, Jiang Yue planned to return to the temporary base and not come out again.
The residential area wasn't far from the villas. As usual, she walked around the area and counted 25 villas during her reconnaissance. Only after confirming that no one was living there did she begin to infiltrate.
The door to the villa in front was open and the glass was broken. Jiang Yue didn't know if it was vandalism or zombie damage, but she was being very careful. What if there were zombies, cats, dogs or something?
After searching the first floor and finding nothing, she decided to check the basement, where most items were kept. Upon entering, she found the basement to be quite messy, suggesting it had been ransacked. All the cabinet doors were open, the wine cabinet had been pushed over by people or zombies, and there were bloodstains on the floor. It seemed the first villa had yielded little.
The first villa was a bad start. The most valuable items found in the subsequent villas were gold, diamonds, and jade. Jiang Yue chose a few old ones of these items, which could be exchanged for money to buy things after the mission was completed.
After searching the 20th villa, Jiang Yue noticed the sun was about to set. She decided to save the remaining five villas for tomorrow during the day, and make do with this one for today. She planned to search the remaining villas tomorrow morning and then head home. Besides, Jiang Yue wasn't really looking forward to the villas that followed.
Day 10.
Jiang Yue woke up in the basement of the villa area, ate something, and then started packing her things. There were only five villas left to search.
After moving the cabinet blocking the doorway, they arrived at villa number 21. This villa was a pleasant surprise; although the window was broken, the door was securely locked. Could they possibly find something? Jiang Yue kicked the door open, and six zombies—one man and five women—ran out. Using the door as a barrier, Jiang Yue easily killed the zombies.
After clearing out the zombies, Jiang Yue entered the house full of anticipation. However, the mess inside gave her a bad feeling. After going up to the first and second floors, Jiang Yue's face darkened. Damn it, she wondered who had searched the place and locked the door. They had no sense of decency at all. Now, only the basement was left. Jiang Yue had already given up hope.
Sure enough, after searching the basement and finding nothing, Jiang Yue walked out, cursing. However, before she had completely left the villa, she sensed something was amiss. The size of the basement seemed off; it was smaller than the previous villas. Could there be some kind of secret room? With that thought, Jiang Yue turned back.
After checking, Jiang Yue found that the laundry room was missing a lot of space, about a meter less. After checking the surrounding walls, she found no traps. She threw the broken washing machine and dirty clothes out and then checked the floor.
After the washing machine was removed, a strange-looking drain was revealed. Jiang Yue had never seen a drain like this before. It was made entirely of metal and looked like a button. Jiang Yue tried pressing it down, and with a few strange noises, a door appeared on the wall. Unfortunately, it only opened a very narrow crack and then stopped moving.
Jiang Yue squeezed to the side and it went in without any trouble. Jiang Yue looked down and wondered if she should be happy.
It was pitch black inside, and it took Jiang Yue a while to adjust before she could see what was inside. The walls were covered with gold bricks and RMB, but since the RMB wasn't from Jiang Yue's world, it was useless. However, something hanging on the side wall gave Jiang Yue a pleasant surprise: a recurve bow and several sets of accessories. She had finally found something useful today.
After assembling the bow, Jiang Yue tried it out. The bow was fine, but unfortunately, she couldn't pull it. Jiang Yue currently has 6 points of strength, which is enough to pull a bow weighing about 20 to 30 pounds, but this bow weighs about 50 pounds, which she can't pull with her current strength. She can only put it away for now.
After putting away the recurve bow, Jiang Yue found a safe inside. She took a closer look and saw that it only had a keyhole, but unfortunately there was no key. Fortunately, Jiang Yue had found a key in the study on the second floor, but she didn't know if it was for the safe. If not, she would have to force it open.
After getting the key, Jiang Yue easily opened the safe. The moment she saw what was inside, Jiang Yue exclaimed, "Wow!"
Inside was a pistol and five magazines, as well as a small bag. Jiang Yue took out the small bag and looked at it; inside was a maintenance kit. After putting down the magazines and the small bag, Jiang Yue took out the gun and looked at it. After removing the magazines, she saw that it was full. She had found a great bargain today.
