Chapter 127 The Passerby Who Didn't Get the Owl in Harry Potter 4
After Hermione chose her wand, Ollivander began to measure Jiang Yue's body, asking her as he did so, "Are you good friends?"
Jiang Yue nodded, and Ollivander said thoughtfully, "Then I know which wand to choose for you."
He then rummaged through the shop and found a box covered in dust. He opened it and took out a wand: "Wisteria wood, phoenix core, 10 inches long, slightly more flexible. Their owners are almost always witches or wizards who seek greater goals. They have visions that transcend the mundane and often amaze those who think they know them best."
"Phoenix core, this is the rarest type of core. Phoenix feathers have the greatest magical range. When it comes to potential masters, phoenix feather wands are always the most selective because the creatures they are taken from are among the most independent. These wands are the most difficult to tame and personalize, and their loyalty is usually hard to win."
Jiang Yue reached out and took the wand. The feeling was very familiar. Holding it in her hand was like having a long-lost friend. It was a feeling of 'I've been waiting for this day for so long.' Then, the clear cry of a phoenix rang out in the store, with a joyful tone in its voice.
After buying the wands, Jiang Yue and her friends' shopping trip came to an end. Professor McGonagall saw them off at the Leaky Cauldron and then left. They didn't run into Harry Potter today. It seems that Hagrid will pick him up on his birthday, which is July 31st. If they go to Diagon Alley the next day, it will be in August.
The family was quite excited after returning home. When they got back to their room that evening, Jiang Yue took out Bai Ze. To conserve spiritual energy, she had put Bai Ze in her spatial dimension after the last deduction of the breathing technique: "Bai Ze, enter the data, and then activate the auxiliary casting mode."
After speaking, Bai Ze began scanning the books in front of him. Jiang Yue didn't even need to open the books one by one to read them. The scan was completed in a short while. Then, it flew into Jiang Yue's sea of consciousness. They were about to go to the magic world. With Bai Ze there, they would be safer.
Reaching this point doesn't mean Jiang Yue can stop studying. She still needs to study. Bai Ze understands very quickly, which is like having an academician teaching her all the time, so her learning speed naturally increases. When she went to sleep that night, Jiang Yue's consciousness was pulled into the dream classroom. The image that Bai Ze transformed into was Jiang Yue's later image. Jiang Yue was stunned by what she saw, covered her eyes and said, "No, change the image. It's too beautiful. I can't concentrate on studying when I see it."
Bai Ze smiled and changed his appearance to Jiang Yue's first life. Wearing a uniform, he looked quite convincing. Time in the dream was different from reality. When Jiang Yue woke up, she had already finished learning all the knowledge in the textbook.
After breakfast, Hermione rushed over, dressed in a wizard's robe and carrying a wand. She found Jiang Yue and dragged her to her room, closing the door and drawing the curtains. Jiang Yue was bewildered by this series of actions; it seemed like they were doing something forbidden. Jiang Yue opened the curtains and gave Hermione an annoyed look: "Why are you drawing the curtains? Professor McGonagall said that young wizards can't cast spells outside of school. We can only read books, so why are you drawing the curtains!"
"Hehe, I was just too excited! Look at my dark circles, I didn't sleep until midnight last night. I was looking at 'A History of Magic' last night. What did you look at? Was it 'Theory of Magic' or 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them'?"
"I find 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' more interesting; 'The History of Magic' is too boring." For the next two months, she spent her days reading with Hermione and her nights secretly practicing magic by setting up arrays at home. In fact, she only practiced for a few days. As long as she successfully cast each spell a few times, Bai Ze would record it and she could learn it in her dreams at night. Now, Jiang Yue can cast spells without a wand or sound.
The two visited Diagon Alley a few times along the way, and Jiang Yue took the opportunity to copy all the books from Flourish and Blotts. Of course, this wasn't free; she had already paid and left a note, so the bookstore actually made a profit. To avoid trouble, Jiang Yue didn't take the books after paying.
Time flies, and before we knew it, it was time for the start of the new school term.
In the early morning, Jiang Yue packed her books, clothes, and other items into her suitcase. Her parents kept trying to stuff more things in until they couldn't fit any more. They pulled the suitcase out the door, and Hermione came out too. Seeing that it was getting late, they drove to King's Cross Station.
After successfully arriving at their destination, they wandered around for more than ten minutes before finally finding Platform 9. The family looked at Platforms 9 and 10 but couldn't find Platform 9¾. Although Bai Ze detected the magical fluctuations, he couldn't say he knew directly. Just then, Jiang Yue heard someone talking.
"Excuse me, sir, where is Platform 9¾?"
Platform 9¾? Are you kidding me?
Just then, Jiang Yue and the others saw a woman leading four children over, saying as she walked, "Come on over here, this way is Platform 9¾."
"Alright, Percy, you can go now."
The group watched as a man rushed towards the central wall and vanished. Jiang's parents and the Grangers exclaimed in surprise, drawing the attention of the woman who had brought them. She then smiled gently at everyone and asked, "You're wizards from a Muggle family, aren't you? Is your child going to Hogwarts this year?"
"Yes, we're really worried about where Platform 9¾ is. We're getting anxious."
The woman smiled and said to the twin brothers, "Frey! You come along."
After Frey went inside, she told everyone around her, "Just run straight to the pillar in the middle of the nine and ten signs." After Ron and Harry Potter went over, Jiang Yue said goodbye to her family, promising to write to them when she got to Hogwarts, and then the two of them went inside one after the other.
After a brief period of darkness, an old-fashioned steam train came into view, with a sign that read '9 Hogwarts Express'. When Jiang Yue came out, she found Hermione, Harry Potter, and Ron waiting for her. After he arrived, the four of them boarded the train and found seats.
After putting away their luggage and finding seats, the four of them ended up in one carriage. Once the train started moving, Ron introduced himself first: "My name is Ron, Ron Weasley."
"My name is Harry, Harry Potter."
Before Jiang Yue and Hao Min could speak, Ron excitedly said, "Then, it's true! I mean, you really have that..."
After saying that, he pointed to his forehead and said, "That...scar!" Harry Potter, who was next to him, flipped his hair back, smiled, and said, "Yes."
