Chapter 136 The Passerby Who Didn't Get the Owl in Harry Potter (13)

Chapter 136 The Passerby Who Didn't Get the Owl in Harry Potter (13)

After jumping down from the devil's web, Hermione heard some noise and asked everyone, "What's that sound?"

"I don't know, it sounded like wings flapping."

Pushing open the stone door and passing through a corridor, they saw a flying broomstick and a room full of keys. Ron went to check the door opposite, but couldn't open it with a spell. So Harry used his Seeker's advantage and, after a tense and exciting moment, found the only key. Although Jiang Yue could easily get the key, she didn't steal the spotlight. After all, she was just watching the show and protecting their safety. It would be best if she could study the Philosopher's Stone in the end.

After finding the key and opening the door, they entered the Magic Chess game. Ron's skill was undeniable. Despite having Jiang Yue as an extra player, Ron still won the game. Jiang Yue observed that the game was quite sophisticated. Ron was not physically injured, but he seemed to have suffered some mental trauma. However, Jiang Yue could see that this injury did not address the root cause, and he would even gain some benefits after recovering.

Hermione stayed behind to look after Ron, while Jiang Yue accompanied Harry on his way. After passing through a door and descending the steps, the two entered a room and saw the person standing next to the Mirror of Erised. Harry exclaimed in surprise, "It's you! No, this can't be, Snape, it's him!"

“Indeed, he looks like a bad guy. With him around, who would want to trade him for a poor, stuttering Professor Quirrell?” The two men only had eyes for each other, completely oblivious to Jiang Yue standing to the side. It wasn’t that Jiang Yue had used any spells; it was simply that Professor Quirrell and the mysterious man simply didn’t take Jiang Yue seriously. As for Harry, he was stunned to learn that this person was Professor Quirrell and not Snape.

Jiang Yue didn't step forward to compete. Instead, she leaned against the wall, took out a cup of coffee, and watched the show while drinking it. It was like she was watching a drama live, everyone. She was just short of grabbing a bag of potato chips. The principal, who was secretly observing, was a little speechless. What was she doing here? The two people, who only had eyes for each other, continued their conversation.

"But that day, during the Quidditch match, Snape almost killed me!"

"No! Child, I wanted to kill you, believe me! If Snape's cloak hadn't caught fire and blocked my view, I would have killed you long ago! Even if Snape had cast a counter-spell, he couldn't have saved you."

"He's reciting a reverse spell to try and save me?"

The two exchanged words for a while longer. Jiang Yue didn't understand why the villain was talking so much. After a long time, Professor Quirrell took out his wand and pointed it at Jiang Yue, then shouted at Harry, "Come here! Otherwise, I'll kill her."

Jiang Yue's hands were itching to kill him, just to let him be arrogant for a while longer. Then she pressed Harry for what he had seen. Jiang Yue saw Harry patting his pockets and knew that he had already obtained the Philosopher's Stone. Professor Quirrell continued to interrogate Harry Potter, and then Harry made up a reason for him: "I saw me shaking hands with Headmaster Dumbledore and getting the House Cup."

Voldemort guessed that Harry Potter was lying, so he demanded to speak with Harry in person. Professor Quirrell untied his hood, revealing Voldemort's face. Jiang Yue felt that Professor Dumbledore's breathing became erratic in the shadows. Voldemort then demanded that Harry hand over the Philosopher's Stone. Harry refused and tried to run away, so the negotiations broke down, and Quirrell surrounded the Chamber of Secrets with a wall of fire.

Voldemort ordered Professor Quirrell to capture Harry and had Jiang Yue, who was watching the show, killed him. Damn it, Jiang Yue couldn't stand it anymore. The moment he made his move, Jiang Yue immediately used "Fainting!" and took the opportunity to put "Armor Protection" on Harry.

Caught off guard, Quirrell immediately fainted. However, before Jiang Yue could unleash a second "Shattered Bones" attack, Quirrell woke up again and used "Obstacles" on Jiang Yue to head straight for Harry. After all, the Philosopher's Stone was the most important thing. Seeing that the situation was not good, Harry took out the Philosopher's Stone and threw it away. Jiang Yue took the opportunity to pick up the Philosopher's Stone.

Voldemort's hatred for Harry was perhaps too intense, for he didn't immediately rush to snatch the Philosopher's Stone. Jiang Yue had just put the Philosopher's Stone in her pocket when Quirrell clutched his hand and cried out in pain. Harry then turned his hand into a charred mess. Before he could even utter a few cries, Voldemort reprimanded him, ordering him to go and kill Harry. As Quirrell moved toward Harry, Jiang Yue seized the opportunity to cast a "Tripping Curse," and Quirrell's face fell right in front of Harry.

Harry didn't hesitate and immediately placed his hand on Quirrell's face. Within seconds, Quirrell turned into a cloud of ashes, leaving him only in his clothes. Just as Harry was feeling happy, a cloud of black mist condensed from Professor Quirrell's body, emitted a scream, passed through Harry's body, and then parasitized Jiang Yue in the same way it had parasitized Quirrell.

Seeing this, Jiang Yue sneered. "They're practically courting death!" she thought. She drew her wand and unleashed a spell: "Holy Light!" Voldemort's black mist was instantly purified. Before dying, he let out a final, angry roar: "No!" After the black mist dissipated, Jiang Yue ran over to check on Harry. She found he was alright. Then Dumbledore appeared, holding his Elder Wand.

"Professor, you've arrived!" Jiang Yue stood up and greeted Dumbledore. Dumbledore first checked Harry's condition, then picked Harry up and said to Jiang Yue, "Take Harry to Madam Pomfrey's infirmary first, since Harry's condition isn't very good."

"Ron and Hermione are still outside. I wonder how they are?"

“Don’t worry, I’ve had Fox take them to the infirmary. We’ll wait a bit. Speaking of which…” Dumbledore stretched out a hand toward Jiang Yue. Jiang Yue shrugged, took out the Philosopher’s Stone, and handed it to him. Anyway, the analysis was already complete, and she had many other ways to extend her lifespan, so she didn’t need this.

"The Philosopher's Stone is not actually a wonderful thing. There are some things in life that are far more beautiful than life itself, such as family and friendship."

After listening to Dumbledore's words, Jiang Yue nodded to indicate that she understood. A few minutes later, Dumbledore's phoenix Fawkes flew over. It has to be said that Fawkes is really good-looking. It is about the size of a swan, with red feathers and a noble posture. Its beak and claws are golden, and it has a long, golden tail. The combination is strangely harmonious and adds a mysterious and majestic aura to it.

Along with Fox's arrival came a beautiful cry. Jiang Yue couldn't help but close her eyes, feeling as if her mind and body had been cleansed. Bai Ze was also working at full speed to record the phoenix's cry, but unfortunately, it wasn't very effective and was missing something. So Bai Ze said, "Master, your contact with the phoenix will be of great benefit to your mental health."
