Chapter 131 The Passerby Who Didn't Get the Owl in Harry Potter (8)
However, some people learn slowly while others learn quickly, such as Hermione, Jiang Yue, and Ravenclaw's friends. While other houses have soft drinks in their common rooms, Ravenclaw has black coffee.
Hermione's success is entirely due to her talent, while Jiang Yue's success is entirely due to her cheat code. Jiang Yue's roommates are also very puzzled. They see that Jiang Yue goes to bed earlier than a dog and gets up later than a chicken, and she doesn't study when she gets back to her room every day. Their grades just can't catch up with hers. In the morning, Jiang Yue stretches, washes up, casts a spell on herself, styles her hair, and dresses formally. Magic is just too convenient.
At lunchtime, Jiang Yue thought it would be another peaceful day, but as soon as she got to the cafeteria, she heard the news that Neville was injured and Harry had joined the Quidditch team. Jiang Yue suddenly remembered that they hadn't taken a flying lesson yet. However, Jiang Yue wasn't interested in flying on a broomstick now, since it wasn't elegant at all. Could it compare to flying on a sword?
Neville's injury didn't attract much attention, but everyone was quite interested in whether Harry would join the Quidditch team. While they were hesitating, Hermione led him to his father's trophy. On their way back, they encountered Cerberus. Although nothing bad happened in the original plot, Jiang Yue knew that the trio was prone to trouble, so she gave her a protective artifact at home. Even if there were any butterfly effects, she wouldn't be afraid. She only had one friend now, and although she didn't want to get involved in the plot, she couldn't just stand by and do nothing. After all, her future achievements were inseparable from her current experiences.
During the lunch break, Bai Ze took a nap. After organizing the Hogwarts library, he redesigned Jiang Yue's study plan according to her study habits. The study content was also much more in-depth and richer. According to Bai Ze's scan results, Jiang Yue's magic power is now almost the same as the professor's. She still lacks some combat experience and fighting skills. Once she fills this gap, she will be able to protect herself without the magic items in her space.
In the afternoon was Potions class, which Jiang Yue was quite interested in. After all, she had studied medicine for several lifetimes. She was taking the class with Slytherins, and it was a bit of a pity that she didn't get to see Snape make things difficult for Harry Potter. Ravenclaw students are smart, and Slytherins are taught by their headmaster. The atmosphere in class was quite harmonious, except that Professor Snape's face was still so gloomy.
Jiang Yue wants to learn how to make potions, but she's currently still learning how to process the herbs. She can only start making potions after she's identified all the herbs needed for one potion, or maybe after she's finished reading this book. She should ask the older students when she has time.
After Potions class, there was another History of Magic class in the evening. Jiang Yue had only one thought after class: why not cancel this class? It was so boring. The Ravenclaw students all looked like they had no will to live. After all, the little geniuses had already finished reading the history book. It was really unbearable to endure the ghost professor's hypnotic, textbook-reading voice. Jiang Yue even suspected that this class might exist specifically to test the patience of young wizards.
After a day of classes, everyone ate, chatted, or wrote papers. Time flew by, and before we knew it, it was Halloween Eve. In the evening, the auditorium was decorated for Halloween, with pumpkin lanterns floating in the air and various delicacies on the tables, along with small pumpkins and Halloween decorations.
The banquet hadn't even started yet, but most of the students had already arrived. Today, just like on the first day of school, people from all four houses and all grades were there, and the seats were almost full. Halfway through the meal, Jiang Yue suddenly remembered the troll's thing. She looked over at the Gryffindor side and Hermione wasn't there. Hermione had complained to Jiang Yue after her fight with Ron. Because of her friend, Hermione wasn't too upset, and Jiang Yue still went into the hall with her.
Could this be some kind of melodramatic plot twist? Just then, the door opened, and Professor Quirrell rushed in, shouting in terror, "Trolls! In the underground classroom! There are trolls in the basement!" He then fainted, and everyone screamed in fright. At that moment, Dumbledore stood up and shouted, "Silence!" He then instructed the prefects to take their students back to their respective dormitories, while the teachers went with him to the underground classroom.
Jiang Yue quietly left. She needed to go to the underground classroom to check if Hermione was alright. Better safe than sorry. Jiang Yue put on her cloak, which was similar in function to Harry's Death Cloak, but much more advanced. According to the map shown by Bai Ze, Hermione was a green dot, in the bathroom, and the big red dot, the Troll, was almost there.
When Jiang Yue arrived at the bathroom, she saw Hermione, the unlucky girl, just coming out of the toilet, clutching her stomach with a pained expression on her face. She was terrified when she saw the trolls at the door. Jiang Yue saw that Harry and Ron had already arrived, so she waved her hand to add a protective shield to Hermione and did nothing else. With this shield, even ten trolls couldn't break through it.
"Hermione!" Harry and Ron shouted Hermione's name in fright when they saw this, but Hermione had never seen anything like it before and was stunned for a moment. The troll was dragging the wooden stick and walking towards her step by step. Hermione then realized what was happening and hurriedly ran into the bathroom and closed the door. Jiang Yue covered her face at this action. Did the troll think that the troll's strength couldn't break through the wooden bathroom partition?
Harry and Ron urged Hermione to run while picking up broken pieces of wood from the ground and throwing them at the troll to attract its attention. However, the small pieces were ineffective and didn't attract as much attention as Hermione, who was a live target. The troll only stopped when a piece of wood hit its face. Hermione then took the opportunity to run under the sink, but her wand was smashed to pieces with one blow. Then Harry jumped onto the troll's head and accidentally stuck his wand in the troll's nose.
Finally, Ron picked up his wand, and Hermione was even teaching him how to use the Levitation Charm. Jiang Yue was completely bewildered by the situation! Luckily, the spell was successful; the troll's wooden club floated up and knocked him unconscious. Seeing this, Jiang Yue was about to leave when the professor arrived.
The next day, Jiang Yue went to find Hermione, circled around her, and asked, "Are you alright? Why did you skip the dinner party and go downstairs by yourself?"
"My stomach hurts! I ate something bad for lunch, and then I just wanted to go to the bathroom when I ran into the troll!" He shrugged helplessly, then smiled and said, "Gryffindor got ten extra points in the end, so it was a blessing in disguise."
Seeing that she was still thinking about getting extra points, Jiang Yue rolled her eyes in annoyance and said to her, "It seems I should write a letter home and tell you about your glorious deeds?"
"NO! No!"
