The delinquent girls occupied two tables. Cheng Yuxuan sat at the very back, grinned maliciously at Bai Shu, raised her hand, and shouted, "Boss lady, where's the beer? A pitcher, please!"
The proprietress smiled and agreed, then turned and scolded Bai Zhu fiercely, "Hurry up and fill a jug and send it over! What are you standing there for?"
Bai Zhu gritted his teeth, expressionless, and accepted a pitcher of draft beer. He carefully carried it over, and just then, the people sitting around drinking suddenly cried out in surprise, all staring longingly at the end of the road.

But as soon as she took a step, she felt a cool breeze under her feet. Someone had maliciously tripped her!
Bai Shu was furious inside, but kept a straight face and avoided the attack.
She dodged the foot that tripped her, but the person who had used underhanded tactics still wouldn't let her go. In fact, he became even more vicious and shoved her hard in the back!
"Ugh!!"
Bai Shu couldn't dodge in time and was pushed out. After staggering a couple of steps, she fell heavily onto the curb.
She lost her grip on the beer mug she was holding, and it flew out, splashing right onto the silver-white sedan that had just passed by!
The car window was instantly scratched.

The crowd gasped in surprise.
Cheng Yuxuan and her friends laughed gleefully, then stood up and cursed at Bai Shu viciously, "You're going to die! Let's see how you compensate us!"
After saying that, he ran away, and everyone's attention was drawn to the Maybach that was covered in wine. Even the proprietress forgot about them.
Bai Zhu's mind raced.

A harsh voice drifted out from the car window. Bai Shu felt a chill run down her spine, and fear rose uncontrollably in her heart. She blinked hard, forcing out a few tears, and looked up pitifully and weakly.
The car door clicked open.
A pair of spotless black leather shoes fell to the ground.
A man's aloof and cold voice rang out indifferently.
"She didn't do it on purpose. What's there to deal with? This is a society governed by law, and we're all about rules—um, you are... Ji Baishu?"
The last three words, spoken with a sudden rise in tone, conveyed a sense of surprise and joy.
"Bai Zhu, what are you doing here?"
