The venom sizzled as it dissolved the soil and rocks, corroding a large area of the cave entrance. Its ferocious malice surged into the ground, causing the disciples' faces to grow increasingly pale. They were filled with fear and dared not move an inch.
After an unknown amount of time, the noise at the cave entrance finally quieted down, as if the centipede had left. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, but dared not completely relax, so they released a wooden dragonfly to fly up.
