Nan's mother rushed to the police station.
Fortunately, the police reacted quickly. After inspecting the scene, they determined that it was a legitimate act of self-defense against a robbery and told Tongsu and the other two that they were all fine and could leave after giving a statement.
Nan's mother breathed a sigh of relief after hearing the phone call. When she arrived, Tong Su, Luo Ziqing, Yi Wen, and the others were already alright and were sitting in chairs drinking water with paper cups in their hands.
A young policewoman sternly warned, "Even if you think you're good at fighting, you can't keep going up there so carelessly! It's too dangerous. If you notice anything amiss in the future, protecting yourselves is the most important thing."
The three girls nodded obediently, but when they looked at each other, they smiled and quietly shrugged. An older policeman nearby shook his head repeatedly and explained to the policewoman:
"They're really not afraid—you're new here, so you don't know, but one of the girls, surnamed Luo, beat up a thug so badly he ended up in the hospital back in junior high... These guys only recently started hanging around this area, they didn't know about the school bully's reputation, they've really messed up."

Nan's mother hugged Tongsu tightly, her heart aching, and pressed the police, "How dare those thugs extort money near the school? This behavior is outrageous! I brought a lawyer with me; you must arrest them!"
The police officer reassured her, "We are still questioning you, ma'am, please be patient."
At this moment, Luo Ziqing's family arrived quickly. The Luo family had long been used to their young lady going to the hospital every few days, and they went through the procedures numbly and helplessly. Yiwen and Luo Ziqing were distant relatives who had been staying at the Luo family's house, so they went out together as well.
The old policeman sighed, "You're always in here! Either beating up thugs or causing trouble at entertainment venues. You're such a nice girl, can you please not fight next time?"
Luo Ziqing chuckled, "Since you come here every few days, I'll just get an annual pass. Next time I come, I won't need to call my parents; I can just swipe the card and leave, okay?"
Evans nodded: "It can be done."
"What do you mean 'can do it'? Ziqing, look at you, you've corrupted Wenwen!" Mother Luo gritted her teeth in anger, reaching out to grab Luo Ziqing's ear. "If you cause any more trouble, I'll cut off your allowance!"
"I'm not causing trouble this time; I'm acting on behalf of Heaven—"
Nan's mother smiled and stepped forward to smooth things over: "Isn't this Madam Luo? Oh, what a coincidence! Please don't talk about your daughter anymore. I really have to thank your Ziqing this time. If it weren't for her saving my daughter, I really wouldn't know what to do."
Mother Luo loosened her grip as she took the opportunity to speak, and chuckled, "Don't mention thanks, it's what she should do! Is this your Yaoyao? She's so adorable. If my daughter were even a fraction as well-behaved as Yaoyao, I'd be laughing in my sleep!"
The Luo family had joined the military, and several members of the family were high-ranking officers in the army. Nan's mother and Luo's mother had met at a gathering in the capital and had a decent relationship. Now that they were both worried about the child, they became even closer and started chatting, thanking each other and exchanging pleasantries.
Tong Su, Luo Ziqing, and Yi Wen stuck out their tongues at each other and whispered among themselves. But before they could say more than a few words, a policeman in charge of interrogating the thugs pushed open the door and asked, "Is Madam Nan here?"
Nan's mother asked in surprise, "I'm here. What's wrong? Oh, right, is it related to those thugs? You must catch them! This is robbery, it's a crime—"
The police officer said, "It is indeed related to them—we just found out some things that may be related to your... second daughter."
