Chapter 123: The Days of Being a Boss in the Last Days (21)
Something happened here, and the old man who was still working stopped what he was doing.
Some of the elderly people have been here for a while. They are probably used to being bullied and have injuries on their bodies, but they still dare not protest and can only grit their teeth and work.
Seeing Bai Chu beat the supervisor, he felt a little scared.
Grandma Li and the others helped the old man on the ground up, hoping that other elderly people would lend a hand.
But they were afraid of getting into trouble and didn't dare to get close.
Even if Bai Chu can defeat the supervisor now, more people will come soon and she won’t be able to defeat them alone.
Those who come to help will definitely be beaten.
Seeing that they were unwilling to help, Grandma Li sighed and, together with the other two grandmas, used all her strength to move the old man to a shady place.
The old man's wife got up from the ground, went to the side of the unconscious old man, and kept saying thank you to Grandma Li and others.
The supervisor smiled cruelly. "Working here is better than being bitten to death by zombies. Working yourself to death or getting beaten to death is better than being torn apart alive. The strong prey on the weak. This is the rule of this world."
Bai Chu took out the dagger from his body and said, "Would you be happy if I stabbed you to death now? After all, being beaten to death is better than being torn apart by zombies."
The tip of the knife was pointing right at the heart.
Bai Chu's eyes didn't look like he was joking at all.
The supervisor felt humiliated after being beaten just now.
Now I really feel scared.
He could say those words because he was the leader in front of this group of people. As long as they didn't obey, he could deal with them at will. During this period of time, he was used to not taking other people's lives seriously.
But that doesn't mean he doesn't cherish his life.
Before, he was thinking about giving her a hard time when other people came.
I don’t have that thought at all now.
Before others came, she could easily kill me, and I wouldn't even have the slightest chance to resist.
He doesn't want to die.
The supervisor began to show weakness: "I'm doing this for their own good. No one wants to be torn apart by zombies."
It is clearly an excuse for his selfishness and cruelty, but he distorts the facts because of his fear of death.
Bai Chu made an "oh" sound and moved the tip of the knife slightly away.
Jiu Fei tutted her tongue twice and said, "How can such a person have 50 luck points?"
A luck value of 50 is actually considered high. Except for He Yushi who has an incredible 2000, most of the others have a luck value of 10 or 20, and some even have only single digits.
If Bai Chu didn't kill this person and gained his favor, he would make a small profit.
The Overseer breathed a sigh of relief.
Bai Chu lowered his eyes and said expressionlessly, "You are quite right, and I particularly agree with your latter point."
The tip of the knife pierced the opponent's chest fiercely.
Blood splattered everywhere. This was the first time Jiufei saw Bai Chu kill someone.
Bai Chu attacked without any hesitation.
If a person has lost all humanity and is only interested in brutally whipping and killing others without any guilt, is there any need for such a person to exist?
Bai Chu raised the corner of his lips and said to the supervisor who was still breathing: "The strong prey on the weak. I will satisfy you."
She pulled out the tip of the knife, and blood continued to flow out of the hole in the supervisor's chest.
He reached out and tried to close the hole.
He clearly wanted to live, but his eyes were filled with despair and unwillingness.
Bai Chu wiped the bloody dagger on his clothes. After that, the other party finally died.
I didn’t update yesterday, actually because I was discussing the finalized matter with the editor.
I originally planned to finish writing this plane and conclude the main storyline, but after talking with the editor today, I decided to continue writing.
Writing a new book during this period was actually quite challenging, not only for myself but also for my readers.
After all, the personality of the heroine in this book is very different from that in the previous book. Writing the two books at the same time makes me feel like I'm splitting into two parts.
Later I saw some people saying that it was not as good as the previous book, and some said that it was another story of abusing scumbags, and they didn’t like abusing scumbags and so on.
The previous book had less cruel characters and was mainly about warmth and tenderness, so many people said it was boring. This time I wanted to make it more exciting, but I didn’t expect that some readers would feel aesthetic fatigue.
My mentality is a little bit broken. One reason is that I can't update, which leads to the breakdown. Another reason is that I have self-doubt. I don't know whether I should write according to my own ideas or what kind of breakdown it will be. Another reason is the breakdown caused by some of my babies.
I talked a lot with my friends, and I actually struggled when I decided to end it.
Because there are many people supporting Bai Chu and Lihua in the comment section, when I started writing articles with different styles, I was prepared that not many readers of the previous book would read it, because many readers prefer the style they like.
Fortunately, there are still readers of old books who choose to keep me company, and even more fortunately, many new treasures have joined the ranks.
I will increase the updates later and still write according to my own ideas, just treating it as a training session.
Pear blossom duck!!!
