office.
Mrs. Huo sat on the sofa, and Qingyou sat opposite her, pouring her a glass of water.
Mrs. Huo looked at Qingyou with a critical eye, "She is indeed quite pretty, no wonder she can make my son so infatuated."
Her son is completely unlike any other member of the Huo family when it comes to women.
From her father-in-law to her husband, and then to the illegitimate children he had, they were all philanderers who had kept many women.
But her son lived like a monk, completely detached from women. She wanted him to go on blind dates, but he refused.
This made her wonder if her son was attracted to men.
But recently she heard that her son had done a lot for this little vixen, even giving her the reservation slots for smart robots in exchange for resources.
She asked that scoundrel to send two smart robots to her family, but he refused.
Besides, that damn tech company is doing so well; I heard it's highly regarded by those old guys in the Huo family. They should really try and take over the Huo family business.
She insisted on keeping this lousy entertainment company, and after listening to her niece's complaints these past few days, she went to her son, hoping he would hand the company over to her family.
But I was rejected again.
My niece said that her son was clinging to power in the entertainment company because of Qingyou, just to pave the way for this little vixen.
This made her very unhappy.
At the same time, I realized that it wasn't that my son wasn't interested in women, but rather that he hadn't met a woman who could captivate him before.
Qingyou could see through Huo's mother's thoughts at a glance, and at the same time she understood why Huo's father would marry such a person into the family as a decoration.
She's really a bit naive and innocent; she can't hide what's on her mind at all.
Although this is Xiaoxing's mother, Qingyou will not tolerate people who do not like her.
She smiled and said, "Thank you for the compliment, Mrs. Huo!"
Huo's mother choked, thinking, "This little fox really has a thick skin."
She snorted coldly, "Let me tell you the truth, someone of your status has no chance of entering the Huo family."
"So I advise you to leave my son as soon as possible, otherwise don't blame me for being impolite."
Qingyou chuckled, "So you came here today just to give me a piece of your mind?"
Mrs. Huo looked puzzled. "Otherwise what?"
She came today to let this little vixen know that her son is not so easy to get close to, and that if she knew what was good for her, she should leave quickly, otherwise she would have to take action.
Qingyou blinked. "Shouldn't you throw me a check or something? You're Mrs. Huo, where's your authority?"
Huo's mother: "..." Why is this little fox not playing by the rules?
She thought for a moment, then said with a straight face, "So you want money. I don't have any checks on me. Give me your account number, and I'll transfer you a million."
If it can be settled with money, that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Qingyou found Huo's mother quite amusing. "Are you trying to fob me off like a beggar? Do you think your son is only worth a million?"
Mrs. Huo was furious. "You think a million is too little? Don't you even know who you are?"
Qingyou shrugged. "Although I don't have a privileged family background, weren't you born into an ordinary family too?"
Mrs. Huo was angered by these words; it was something she hated being brought up the most.
"You little vixen, do you really think my son likes you that much? He's just playing around."
Then, with a cold and stern expression, he threatened, "You'd better know when to quit while you're ahead. I can still give you a million now, but if you don't know what's good for you, I'll make sure you can't stay in the capital."
Qingyou patted her chest, but the smile on her face didn't change. "I'm so scared!"
Under the unpleasant look on Huo's mother's face, she took out her phone, dialed Huo Xingchen's number, and put it on speakerphone.
Soon, Huo Xingchen's voice came, "Youyou!"
Hearing her son's mushy yet unusually gentle voice, Mrs. Huo felt somewhat uncomfortable.
Then it dawned on me, wait a minute, why is this little fox calling his son?
Then Qingyou said, "Your mother came to me and wanted to pay me a million to leave you, otherwise she would make it impossible for me to stay in the capital."
She was too lazy to argue with Huo's mother, so she decided to let Xiaoxing handle it herself.
The key is that with Huo's mother causing trouble today, Little Star can take the opportunity to rightfully deal with those people in Huo's mother's family.
Mrs. Huo's eyes widened and her expression changed. This little vixen actually dared to complain to her face.
Sure enough, Huo Xingchen immediately understood what Qingyou meant.
His voice carried a hint of displeasure, "She really loves to meddle in other people's business."
Then she said domineeringly, "Youyou, you don't need to worry about her. Even my dad doesn't care about me, so she doesn't have the right to."
"Besides, she's just a Mrs. Huo in name only. Does she really think she can control everything and make it impossible for you to stay in the capital? It's a joke."
Mrs. Huo's expression changed again upon hearing this.
Unable to hold back, she said in a sharp voice, "Huo Xingchen, how can you talk to your mother like that? Don't go too far."
Although she knew that she was nominally Mrs. Huo, she didn't have much power, but it was hard for her to accept that her son had said it so openly to the little fox.
Huo Xingchen wasn't going to tolerate her at all, and said in a somewhat nonchalant tone, "It's not excessive, I was just telling the truth."
"What I do with Youyou is none of your business."
"Looks like it's those nieces and nephews from your maternal family stirring things up again."
“I haven’t even taken the initiative to settle accounts with them about the car accident I had before, and they keep instigating you to cause trouble.”
"Hmph, since they keep testing my limits, let them wait and see."
The reason he didn't deal with his maternal relatives before wasn't because he was soft-hearted or forgave them out of respect for his mother.
