Qingyou did not intentionally lead anyone, and after donating blood and leaving, she did not pay any further attention.
A few days later, she received a call from an unknown number.
It was Chu Huiqin calling, ostensibly to thank her for donating blood, but wanting to invite her to dinner.
Qingyou refused, and only then did the other party say that there was something very important they wanted to talk to her about.
Qingyou then agreed to keep the appointment.
Dining room.
Qingyou was led into a private room by a waiter and saw Chu Huiqin sitting inside, lost in thought.
Hearing the sound, Chu Huiqin snapped out of her daze and looked at Qingyou with a complicated expression in her eyes.
After the waiter left, she looked at Qingyou and forced a smile, "Please sit down!"
Qingyou sat down. "What do you want from me?"
Chu Huiqin handed a certificate of authenticity to Qingyou on the table, "Take a look."
She never expected that Qingyou would be her biological daughter.
After being rescued that day, she heard from the hospital staff that Qingyou had come to donate blood and saved her life.
Because she had a strong impression of the name before, when she saw Qingyou at the hospital, she wanted to thank her, but she didn't want to face her.
So she sent someone to check on Qingyou's family to see if they needed any help, and if so, she would help repay the favor.
To her surprise, she discovered that the other person had grown up in an orphanage, and the city where she grew up was also one she remembered vividly.
Then she couldn't help but think of Qingyou's face, which resembled her ex-husband's by a third, and the fact that he had the same blood type as her.
She couldn't help but have a guess.
Coincidentally, her severe hypotension flared up again, and she needed a blood transfusion.
There was still one bag of blood left from Qingyou's last donation, so the hospital arranged for her to receive it.
To prove her suspicions, she secretly collected a few drops of Qingyou's blood and had her assistant conduct a paternity test at a private hospital. The results showed that they were indeed mother and daughter.
This is the daughter she had been searching for for over a decade.
But after learning about this, she found that she did not feel the excitement and thrill she had imagined about finding her daughter.
Perhaps it's been too long, especially since she's felt guilty and remorseful all these years. After all, if she had been more attentive back then, her daughter wouldn't have been given away by that old woman.
She spent a whole day deciding whether to admit it or not.
Let's just accept it. She'll give this daughter financial compensation, so she won't feel guilty anymore.
That's why I called Qingyou and arranged to meet her.
Qingyou casually flipped through the paternity test results on the table, her face showing little surprise. "What are you trying to say by showing me this?"
Seeing her calm expression, Chu Huiqin couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you surprised?"
Qingyou smiled and said, "I'm not surprised, because I already knew."
Chu Huiqin was taken aback. "When did you find out? Why didn't you contact me first?"
Qingyou replied, "Chu Lanwen is targeting and scheming against me for no reason, but I have never offended her, so I asked someone to investigate."
"Then we found out that she had a paternity test done at the hospital, and it turned out to be between me and you."
"Then I understood why she was targeting me."
Then she changed the subject, looking at Chu Huiqin with a half-smile, "As for why I didn't take the initiative to contact you, it's because Chu Lanwen is targeting me so much, relying on your influence behind the scenes. I guess you know about this."
"Then she helps her niece suppress her own daughter. What's the point of having a mother like that?"
These words were so sarcastic that Chu Huiqin's expression changed.
She wasn't stupid; she immediately understood what Qingyou meant. "Are you saying that Wenwen already knew we were mother and daughter, and that's why she was targeting you?"
Qingyou shrugged. "Otherwise what? I've never provoked her, and I didn't even know her before."
"She joined the company as an agent and, relying on your influence, snatched away the artists under my management. She even tried to force me to leave the industry. It just so happened that this happened after she went to get a paternity test. I don't believe it was a coincidence."
Chu Huiqin was a little flustered at this moment. Looking at Qingyou, she questioned, "You're just an orphan, how could you find out that she had done a paternity test? And how could you find out the details?"
Qingyou wasn't the original owner of this body, so she wasn't upset by such doubts. She raised an eyebrow, "I have Huo Xingchen behind me. Do you think he can find out?"
Chu Huiqin choked for a moment, but upon hearing Huo Xingchen's name, the doubts in her heart disappeared.
Investigating such matters about Huo's most outstanding legitimate son is naturally a piece of cake.
She was a little sad at this moment, not expecting that her niece had known about her relationship with Qingyou all along, and not only did she not tell her, she also deliberately went to suppress Qingyou.
However, she wouldn't just listen to Qingyou's side of the story, since the other party was currently hostile towards her niece.
She took a deep breath and said, "I didn't know about this before. It was only when you went to donate blood during your hospitalization that I had someone check."
She continued, "I'm sorry for all these years, but don't worry, I will definitely make it up to you."
Qingyou asked with a smile, "How are you going to make it up to me?"
Chu Huiqin replied matter-of-factly, "Of course I'll take you home and let you enjoy the life you haven't had all these years."
In her opinion, Qingyou grew up in an orphanage and probably hadn't seen anything good except for craving family affection, so she could just spend more money to make up for it.
Qingyou scoffed, "You want to give me the life I haven't enjoyed all these years? You mean you just want to pay me off? Is your own daughter so worthless?"
Chu Huiqin said somewhat displeasedly, "I'm just making it up to you. I'm your biological mother, and you shouldn't treat me like this."
“I know you may have resentment in your heart, but it wasn’t me who took you away to be given away back then, it was your own grandmother, and yet I have been having people look for you all this time.”
