Chapter 10 Everyone Wants to Conquer Me

Chapter 10 Everyone Wants to Conquer Me

They also felt that there were too many women in the palace to win over the emperor, so they made a pact to retire in the palace and do square dancing.

"Why should we believe you? Shouldn't Hu Yao be close to winning him over? She's frequently summoned by the Emperor to serve him in bed, and he dotes on her exclusively."

Lu Haitang knew who they were talking about: "Is it possible that she wasn't summoned to serve the emperor?"

"She's more ambitious than you, and she's already working?"

"Besides, I've spoken to her, but she didn't understand what I meant at all. She must be a local, right?" Lu Haitang thought of that overly enthusiastic woman, who was no different from the man she had just graduated who believed in the promises of her boss.

Consort Lan's lips twitched: "A local? You're quite good at describing people."

Seeing everyone looking at him, he pouted and said, "I'm just a recent college graduate who hasn't even found an internship yet."

Nan replied in surprise: "You're still a college student? You don't seem stupid at all; you seem to be the most cunning person around."

Consort Lan rolled her eyes: "I came from an agricultural university. Is it possible that I was just pretending to be an adult?"

“My family said there are a lot of bad people outside, so they told me to pretend.”

Everyone: "You actually managed to fool us."

Lu Haitang whistled: "Not bad."

Having gotten enough information out of her, she made an excuse to leave, but Consort Lan stopped her: "You're leaving already? Aren't you going to say anything more?"

"Don't worry, as long as you don't treat him like a man and treat him like your boss, it's fine." Lu Haitang didn't hide anything from them; she was there to test them.

"Who is that person?" Nan asked, pointing to the man at the courtyard gate. "He looks like a guard."

Lu Haitang looked over, then coughed lightly with her hands behind her back: "That's my boyfriend."

Everyone looked at her as if she'd gone mad: "You're still into time-traveling romance?"

"Can I talk?" Nan asked hesitantly, raising her hand.

Lu Haitang: "It might not work. No matter what, you are the emperor's women on the surface. Wouldn't that be putting a green hat on the emperor? Unless you don't want to live."

Hearing her words, everyone looked at her with envy.

That appearance made Lu Haitang feel a little proud.

I thought to myself, "So even someone as insignificant as me can be envied by you guys."

People's joys and sorrows are indeed not shared.

She envied them, and they envied her.

"I'm leaving now."

After she left, the three sisters lost their desire to play mahjong.

The three exchanged glances, and Consort Lan spoke first: "What do you say?"

“I feel this is absurd,” Ling replied.

Nan agreed, pursing her lips: "The reason I did things on the fringes before was because I didn't want to work. Does that mean I have to work now that I've transmigrated?"

"Should we go ask Hu Changzai?"

"Alright, if she really fails to win over the Emperor, then I'll have to make my move to seduce him." Consort Nan clenched her fist.

The others rolled their eyes: "Didn't you hear Lu Haitang just say that people would die?"

Nan replied, "What if I die and then go back?"

The three of them went to Hu Yao's palace.

The maidservant hurriedly came out and bowed: "Greetings to all the ladies, may I ask..."

"Get up, let's go find Hu Changzai to play."

Before the maid could react, she saw them go inside: "My lady, our lady is still resting."

The three entered the room without being summoned and saw Hu Yao raise her head from the pile of account books.

The sight of her made the three of them gasp. It was no different from her draining all their yang energy. There was no need to ask any questions; what was there to be confused about?

Hu Yao was startled and immediately composed herself, abandoning her previous unruly demeanor: "How can the servants be so ignorant of etiquette?"

"No one summoned the people who came."

"Please forgive me, my lord."

"Don't blame her, we just came to visit you, it's our fault," Ling pleaded for the servants.

Hu Yao frowned, not understanding their thinking: "This is a problem with the servants."

After asking them to leave, they had tea served. The four chatted awkwardly for a while before Ling made an excuse to leave, followed closely by the other two.

"My lady, these three young ladies are so ill-mannered," a maidservant said softly from the side.

"Watch your words." Hu Yao gave the maid a look:

"Many of the noble ladies in the palace do behave rather strangely, but they are indeed very different from the noble ladies I imagined."

Maid: "Are they here for the Emperor?"

Hu Yao nodded.

The three of them were testing each other in their words. None of them seemed like they would lie. You could tell what they were thinking just by the change in their expressions. They didn't even test each other very obviously. It was as if they were directly asking the Emperor whether he truly favored them or just wanted them to do his bidding.

Having lived a second life, she naturally understands the importance of being cautious in her words and actions.

She brushed all these questions off.

But this was the first time she had ever met such a "straightforward" young lady.

The three of them breathed a sigh of relief as they left: "Talking to her was so stressful."

"Is this what people in ancient times are like? They're so young, yet they've already got so many tricks up their sleeves," Consort Lan exclaimed.

“She’s definitely a local. She’s so smart. Her eyes seem to be able to read people’s minds,” Ling said.

Nan agreed: "I've made up my mind!"

The two looked at her: "What?"

"I'm going to try and win over the Emperor. Did you see how she looked just now? She looked like I had spent 18 hours straight wiping myself down and calling him 'Big Brother' countless times. I never want to go back to that time."

Nan replied with tears in her eyes, her expression as if recalling painful memories: "Working is impossible, I will never work in my life."

The two made a gesture of wiping sweat.

Has she gone crazy from working so hard?

Ling Ying is a medical student who has never been to a hospital, and Lan Guiren is an agricultural student who has never experienced the harsh realities of society.

Neither of them understood her reaction.

Nan raised her chin and said, "You guys have never worked before, so you don't understand. I would never even consider working a job that's borderline illegal!!!"

In the blink of an eye, the three of them knelt before Ji Huaizhi, and Nan Ying didn't dare to say anything that crossed the line.

Because before they were summoned, they had just entered the palace when they heard that the emperor had ordered the death of someone.

The three knelt below like quails, and Xuanfeng occasionally flew over their heads and circled around, saying "Long live the Emperor."

It made them very nervous.
