Chapter 15 The master's farmhand carried away the concubine brought for good luck.
The expert Ji Huaizhi carried Song Jiao to the rooftop as soon as the two of them left the courtyard.
As soon as Song Jiao stood on the roof, she saw the people around the madam approaching.
"Didn't you say tomorrow? You came today."
"That person probably has a high fever, should we go check on him?" Ji Huaizhi asked.
Song Jiao hugged his waist: "Go!"
The two flew from the rooftop all the way to Jia Chenghua's courtyard.
You could still hear his painful screams from the rooftop.
Ji Huaizhi removed a tile, and the two looked down to see that Jia Chenghua's entire body was covered in medicine.
But it still looks terrifying.
Song Jiao hissed, "Can he... possibly get better?"
Ji Huaizhi: "Although I applied medicine, I still suffered extensive burns. It's a miracle that I survived. What I fear most is that the wounds will become infected and I will die in agony."
"However, he should be the latter."
Song Jiao raised an eyebrow: "Serves you right."
She turned to look at Ji Huaizhi: "Don't you think I'm vicious?"
Ji Huaizhi: "I did all of this. If you want to say I'm more vicious, then I did it."
Song Jiao nodded with a smile.
"Hey! They're back." It was the group of servants who had returned.
"Madam, Concubine Song has disappeared, along with her maid Baozhu and her farmhand Ji Huaizhi."
Madam Jia stood up: "What?"
"Gone?"
Madam Jia took a deep breath: "Find it for me! Close the gates of the Jia mansion and find it for me!"
"I'll go tell the master to have someone drag that fortune teller over here."
Song Jiao murmured softly, "I hope that fortune teller dies."
"I also hope that Master Jia and Madam Jia will have a hard time."
Ji Huaizhi placed his hand on her head: "Of course."
Madam Jia rushed to the master's courtyard anxiously: "Master, that vixen has disappeared."
"They were running around with the farmhands in the manor; those two must have been having an affair for a long time."
Master Jia was furious when he heard the news.
He was actually cuckolded by a servant.
“I’ve already sent people to look for them. We’ll dig three feet into the ground to find them. I’ve also had someone bring that fortune teller here.”
As soon as Madam Jia finished speaking, the fortune teller coughed.
"Madam, Master."
He no longer has the air of a sage; instead, he looks rather old and frail.
“That Aunt Song has already run away. Can you figure out where she is?” Madam Jia’s suspicious gaze was fixed on him.
The fortune teller was taken aback. He only knew how to cheat and swindle; how could he possibly know how to calculate a location?
"It's not that I don't count, it's that I'm seriously injured and can't exert any strength at all." He looked even weaker than before as he spoke.
"Then what use are you?" Madam Jia said angrily.
Grandpa Jia looked at him and said, "You try to figure it out now. If you can't, then you're a fraud."
"They've been lying to us all along."
The fortune teller suddenly became nervous, but still pretended: "Master Jia, it's been so long, do you not believe me?"
"If you don't believe me, I'll leave now!"
Master Jia: "Do you think you can walk?"
As soon as he finished speaking, all the guards around him raised their heads.
The butler was also standing at the gate of the courtyard.
"Sir, please." Master Jia raised his hand, gesturing for him to enter. "Could you please help me calculate the location of the Song family?"
The fortune teller had someone bring over Aunt Song's things.
Finally, after a long wait, the fortune teller said, "Aunt Song is heading out of the city now, and she is not alone."
Madam Jia gave the steward a wink: "Have people split up and search."
"yes."
The fortune teller continued, "She's cunning and treacherous; it's best to send more people."
Master Jia had someone send the person down to rest.
A moment later, the guard brought a hairpin to Master Jia: "Someone said this hairpin belonged to Concubine Song; it was sent from the storeroom."
Master Jia: "Where did you find it?"
"In the mansion, that direction leads to an empty courtyard."
Upon hearing this, Madam Jia exclaimed in surprise, "Does that mean they didn't go out at all?"
"The more dangerous the place, the safer it is," said Master Jia, squinting as he held the list.
"That fortune teller was wrong."
Madam Jia reminded her.
Master Jia looked at the guard beside him: "Find someone to keep an eye on that fortune teller. If he tries to run away, it proves he's a fraud. Kill him on the spot."
"yes!"
The hairpin in Song Jiao's hair was deliberately left there by Ji Huaizhi.
It's to let them know they're still in the manor.
After being sent back to his room, the fortune teller prepared to find a chance to escape, knowing that Master Jia suspected him.
Unfortunately, the Jia family has not yet paid him his wages this time.
Strange things happened, and I lost money.
I wish I hadn't gone on this trip.
What a wasted trip.
As he finished packing his things and climbed out of the back window, the fortune teller didn't notice a vine slipping past his feet.
Before leaving, he took everything he could carry with him from the house.
She covered her mouth with a handkerchief, afraid that her cough would disturb someone.
But in reality, the Jia family was already keeping an eye on him.
However, just as she was about to grab him, the vine pierced his heart first.
The guard was horrified when he saw the fortune teller's unseeing eyes and the large hole in his chest.
"this....."
"Go and inform the master immediately," one of the guards said.
"I...I'll go right away."
Master Jia, upon learning this, remained expressionless: "Bring the person in and call the physician."
The fortune teller died too quickly; we had just met, and now he's long gone.
There was even a large hole in his chest.
There is something unclean in the Jia family mansion.
And that filthy thing is now with the Song family.
"Sir, the fortune teller's death was suspicious. It seemed like he was killed with a single blow, and he didn't lose consciousness immediately after being injured, but rather slowly felt his life slipping away."
"I've never seen this kind of technique before."
The physician was somewhat frightened.
Everyone present must have been afraid.
Even the butler frowned and took a step back.
Humans are naturally afraid of the unknown.
Not to mention, this person died in such a horrific way.
Suddenly, Master Jia asked the steward, "What's the name of the man who was with Madam Song?"
"His name is Ji Huaizhi. I've met him before. He's very strong and a hard worker. He seems very honest and kind."
Master Jia: "He's very good at hiding his true self."
Did he have any other acquaintances in the Jia family?
After thinking for a moment, the butler said, "There's a guy named Xishun, and the two of them get along quite well."
"Go find it."
Master Jia then looked at the corpse on the ground: "Drag it out and feed it to the dogs."
When Song Jiao heard that the fortune teller was dead, her eyes widened: "So fast? How did he die?"
After thinking for a while, Ji Huaizhi said, "Master Jia and Madam Jia discovered that he was a swindler."
"He was discovered by the guards while trying to escape and was beaten to death."
Ji Huaizhi looked at her seriously and said, "He was beaten very badly, and he died in great pain."
Hearing this, Song Jiao smiled.
She's not a saint; upon hearing that her enemy is dead, she only feels the thrill of revenge.
Although I didn't kill him myself.
When the butler returned, the master had his back to him and hurriedly said:
"Master, we haven't found Xishun. His things are still there, but he went out for a while and never came back."
Master Jia closed his eyes, and his deep voice revealed his anger:
"idiot!"
"He's not coming back. Send someone to look for him."
