Chapter 18: I Took Off My Brother's Green Hat (18)
When Ji Huaizhi returned home, Ji Huaijin was already there, dressed casually and watering the flowers with Shushu in the yard.
"You're back?" Ji Huaijin seemed to be in a good mood today.
He cooks the dinners every night.
With her father by her side, Ji Shu smiled more often.
"Uncle, Dad is taking me to the amusement park this weekend. Would you like to come with us?" Ji Shu's eyes sparkled.
Ji Huaizhi pretended to be lost in thought, then said, "Then Uncle will reluctantly agree."
Seeing their eldest son so happy, Ji's mother and father were relieved. It seemed that Feng Wanyi's matter was over and he had completely let go of it, which was good.
Everyone around Ji Huaijin knew about his divorce.
That's why so many people sought out Ji's mother to chat with.
She was implying that she should introduce someone to Ji Huaijin, as she had suitable candidates in her circle.
Madam Ji declined, saying, "Let's talk about it later. How long has it been? Our eldest son is thoughtful and definitely doesn't have any ideas right now."
The neighbor waved his hand: "Go back and talk to your son. How can a grown man be without a wife? He can still find one while he's still young."
"And doesn't he have a daughter? How can a house function without a lady of the house?"
Madam Ji hesitated, but still felt it was inappropriate: "Let's put this matter aside for a while, it's too hasty."
"Even if he really has this idea, I'll sound him out first."
After all, given Feng Wanyi's situation, even if you're looking for a partner, you should look for a family with good family values. But a family with good family values doesn't necessarily mean you have to find someone who's been divorced and has a child.
It is precisely because it is a second marriage that one needs to be more cautious.
“Okay, but I think you should still advise your eldest son. It’s better to do this sooner rather than later,” the neighbor said earnestly. “The good ones have all been taken.”
"My eldest son is divorced now, so he should be the one being picked in the dating market, right?"
Ji's mother was quite self-aware.
Although her son is outstanding, the reputation of being a divorcee with a child is already there.
Ji Huaijin happened to be working overtime today.
Ji's mother didn't want to probe too closely.
Ji Huaizhi looked up at his mother and asked, "What mischief are you plotting now?"
"You child," Ji's mother said speechlessly, "Is this how you see your mother?"
"I can tell what's on your mind just by looking at you," Ji Huaizhi sneered.
Tell me, what's on my mind?
Ji Huaizhi raised an eyebrow: "Are you bored and looking for a second spring for your older brother?"
Ji's mother patted her son and looked at her bewildered eldest granddaughter: "Shushu, eat quickly. Don't look at your uncle, he's never serious."
Ji Shu ate her food obediently and with great relish.
Ji's mother glared at her son: "Are you looking for a scolding?"
Why do you say all sorts of things in front of Shushu?
“Shushu and I are best friends, we can talk about anything.” Ji Huaizhi said irritably, “If you’re too free, you should find a job.”
Instead of thinking about these things, you should help your older brother take good care of Shushu.
"Let him focus on his work and earning money. If he's lucky enough to meet someone special, that would be great. But think about it, if he finds someone like the previous one again, how many more times do you think he can handle it?"
Mother Ji: "Oh, you're right."
"I was just influenced by my neighbors. Oh well, I won't bring it up anymore."
"You and Shushu should eat more. I'll have your dad stew fish for you tomorrow."
When Ji Huaijin returned exhausted, Ji Shu and Ji Huaizhi were still sitting in front of the TV watching TV.
"Big brother's back? Mom left you some dinner in the kitchen." Ji Huaizhi said casually, "Give me some pocket money after you finish eating."
Ji Huaijin was amused by his shamelessness: "And by the way?"
"You're the young master?"
“I’ve solved a problem for you today, don’t you think you should thank me properly with money?” Ji Huaizhi looked at him.
Ji Huaijin was speechless: "Here's a workbook as a reward for you."
"I called your homeroom teacher today to ask how you've been doing at school lately. You've been doing well, so I'll send you a red envelope later."
"Dad, I want one too." Ji Shu raised her hand: "Send it to my smartwatch."
"Okay, Shushu, Daddy will send you a big red envelope."

The two brothers took Shushu to the children's playground in the mall over the weekend.
She was wearing a princess dress that her grandmother had chosen, and she was playing with toys with the other children inside.
Ji Shu has become much bolder under Ji Huaizhi's influence. If someone tries to snatch a toy from her hand, she knows to take it back.
Ji Huaijin looked at his daughter with a smile, finding her angry expression quite adorable.
Ji Huaizhi came over carrying two cups of milk tea and an ice cream in his other hand: "Do you know who I saw?"
"An acquaintance?" Ji Huaijin looked back.
"Your ex-wife."
Upon hearing his younger brother's words, Ji Huaijin turned his head back; there was no need to look.
"Don't take Shushu over there later, He Gaolin's wife is beating her up." Ji Huaizhi took a big gulp of milk tea.
Hold up the ice cream and invite Shushu to come and eat it.
Ji Huaijin frowned in confusion: "How do you know that's He Gaolin's wife?"
Ji Huaizhi swallowed the last sip of milk tea: "Aren't you going to drink it? I ordered you mango pomelo sago."
Ji Huaijin vigorously rubbed Ji Huaizhi's head, with considerable force.
"Dad, what are we going to do later?" Ji Shu asked, sipping her ice cream.
The kids nearby were so envious; they were already asking their parents for ice cream.
"I'll go buy you a pretty dress and some clothes for your uncle." Ji Huaijin wiped his daughter's mouth.
Ji Huaizhi: "I want a pair of pants, the kind with holes."
Are you going to beg on the street?
Feng Wanyi had just come out for a stroll when, unexpectedly, she was slapped across the face by a woman as soon as she stepped out of the store. The woman then grabbed her hair with her entourage.
In that instant, she felt as if her scalp had been ripped open.
"You're Feng Wanyi?" Li Yao's voice was shrill, his expression somewhat ferocious: "He Gaolin's goddess from his school days?"
"Let go!" Feng Wanyi knew who she was.
"I won't let go!" Li Yao was furious when he saw the shopping bags she was carrying: "He Gaolin is using my family's money to support you, his mistress?"
"You two are really something, spending my family's money and still looking down on me."
"Smack!"
"Why did you destroy my family?" Li Yao screamed in anguish, "You're divorced and you're trying to persuade my husband to divorce me, how can you be so despicable?"
Feng Wanyi was held down and unable to get up.
"Send He Gaolin here, and let go! I'm calling the police!"
Li Yao: "He Gaolin is useless now, why do you think he won't come looking for you?"
"You really have a knack for sitting still; I finally caught you today."
"You dare to destroy my family? I'll make you regret it!"
People around them took photos and videos with their phones, and even the security guards couldn't separate them.
Feng Wanyi's scalp was being torn, and her face was burning. She could only protect her head and face. Through the gap in her arms, she seemed to see Ji Huaijin's younger brother.
