Chapter 24 Son of Sin
Ji Dama was stunned.
What was his mother saying? Then he opened his mouth while holding the pottery jar, and the jar fell to the ground and shattered.
"Ouch!" Ji Dama's face suddenly contorted, and he fell backward to the ground.
He was in so much pain that he rolled around on the ground.
Grandma Ji stepped forward and pressed him down, saying, "Son, it will be over in a moment."
"The pain will subside after a while."
Seeing her son in pain, Old Mrs. Ji cried with heartache, "My son, it hurts me too."
"We'll feel better once the pain subsides and we fall asleep."
Ji Dama was in so much pain that he kept convulsing. He pushed Old Lady Ji away, and she hit the back of her head on the ground and couldn't get up.
Ji Dama ate most of the packet of rat poison.
With tears streaming down her face, Ji's mother suddenly realized that it was a good thing that Zhang Qiaofen had taken the two children away.
The Ji family is not exactly without descendants.
"Retribution, it's all retribution."
She has two dutiful sons, and that woman also has a dutiful son who will avenge her.
Not long after, the two lay motionless on the ground, with the porridge spilled all over the ground.
Ji Dama started foaming at the mouth and lost consciousness.
The mother and son passed away just like that.
The people in the truck swayed and drove away, and the further they drove, the more panicked the village chief felt.
It's that feeling of being uneasy, always feeling like something's about to happen.
The others were discussing Zhuang Niu's death, wondering who had done it.
The driver, with a cigarette in his mouth, said, "Such a big thing happened in our village, I don't dare to live here anymore. I want to move to the city, and my child needs to go to school too."
"Your family is going to buy a house in the city?" someone asked in surprise.
"I just have this idea, can't I get a loan now?"
"Don't you feel creeped out living in our village now?" The driver's car swayed slightly.
He swore, "What's wrong with me today? Why is it so slippery?"
Upon hearing this, the village chief gripped the handrail on his right: "Drive slowly."
"I always feel uneasy."
"Don't worry," the driver said, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. "I've driven this road countless times."
As he spoke, he exhaled breath that blew away cigarette ash, causing the car to shake again.
The cigarette butt in the driver's mouth fell onto his crotch.
Reflexively, he quickly looked down and opened the bottle, but the cigarette butt fell onto the foot where he was refueling.
Startled, he slammed on the gas pedal, and the driver quickly regained control of the steering wheel.
The people in the car were so frightened by the swaying that they cursed and wanted to ask him how he drove, but before they could even open their mouths, the car went off the ridge.
The vehicle overturned, and the cargo placed at the back fell out.
Those inside felt dizzy and disoriented, experiencing both heavy blows and loud noises.
The village chief's head had been smashed open, and blood was flowing down his head. He had only two words in his mind.
It's over.
The car body lay overturned on the embankment, its wheels still spinning.
The driver was already unconscious.
The village chief tried to open his eyes and climb out, but hanging upside down, he felt as if he were being crushed by a thousand pounds and couldn't move at all.
"Wake up! Everyone, wake up!"
"If we don't wake up soon, we're all doomed."
"Village chief, I think I smell gasoline. Is this car going to explode?" The voice trembled and choked with sobs.
The village chief had a terrible headache and couldn't tell who was speaking.
"The national highway is right above us, shout for help!"
"Help! Help!"
They tried everything to open the car door, but it wouldn't budge, and the village chief grew increasingly panicked.
My consciousness is becoming clearer and clearer.
He couldn't tell whether the blood came from the driver's side or from his own.
"Village chief, I think I smell something burning, and I think I see a fire."
The village chief remained silent. The windshield appeared to be shattered. He tried to climb out, but in his panic, his hand was cut by the glass.
He had only managed to get halfway out when his legs got stuck again.
He gritted his teeth and tried his best to pull his foot out, but he heard a "bang" sound.
The truck quickly burst into flames.
It seems someone has stopped their car on the national highway above, and someone is shouting that there has been a car accident and to call the police immediately.
The people inside the car had already turned into thick smoke.
The villagers were still waiting, and some of them got impatient and started to turn back.
The case says they went to the police station and should have been back much earlier.
But there's been no movement yet.
The body was dug out, and they dared not move it.
They've already turned into rotting corpses.
If left unattended, it will likely attract all the animals in the area that night.
Only then did someone remember to make a phone call.
After calling the police, I heard that there seemed to have been a serious car accident at the fork in the road.
Everyone in the car is dead.
The villagers had a bad feeling when they heard this.
Could it be such a coincidence?
Not long after the body was dug up, strange things started happening again: some people in the village began to develop high fevers.
Moreover, it seems that only men are experiencing diarrhea and vomiting, while women and children seem to be unaffected.
They seemed to have some kind of illness, and there was more than one of them; the cleared area was still open.
Some people are saying that Zhuangniu died tragically and they want to drag the villagers down with him?
By the time the fully armed people drove in from outside, some villagers had already died from the strange illness, and everyone in the village had been placed under control.
The virus spread quickly, but most people in the village were fine. Only a few people got sick. The final diagnosis was that the infection was caused by bacteria from digging up a rotting corpse. Disinfection was carried out everywhere to disinfect the virus, but the case of Zhuang Niu's carcass was not investigated in time and it was burned.
Others who got sick died before they even had a chance to get treatment.
When the fully equipped doctor came to examine the other villagers, someone discovered that Ji Dama and Ji Laotai had died tragically in their home.
There were also poisoned insects, ants, and rats on the ground. The final conclusion was that the two had committed suicide.
Zhang Qiaofen'er is once again caught in the crossfire of public opinion.
So many things, big and small, have happened in the village that everyone is scared.
Some people have already moved to the city.
Many police officers came and went. Starting with the first missing Zhuang Niu, one accident after another occurred in the village, from being bitten to death by a dog to Ji Jinping's death at Li Laosi's funeral, and then Dao Sanquan and Ji Erma accidentally falling on nails.
Then Ji Dama and Ji Laotai committed suicide.
The village chief and his entourage were in a car accident, and afterwards several men in the village died from bacterial infections.
Everything was so coincidental and so bizarre.
This village seems to be cursed; who knows what else might happen.
Even more bizarrely, who killed Zhuang Niu?
Zhuang Niu's ex-wife was questioned, as were other villagers. Some said that Zhuang Niu was last seen with Ji Dama.
Keji Dama is now dead.
Following the suicides of Grandma Ji and her son, Zhang Qiaofen was summoned for questioning multiple times.
Some say she drove the mother and son to their deaths, while others privately speculate that she may have secretly poisoned them.
Zhang Qiaofen and her two children had no way to express their suffering.
She never imagined that she and her son would commit suicide by overdosing on medication.
The police seem to have gotten themselves into a dead end.
It was at this moment that someone realized, where is Ji Dama's son?
Where did he go?
Some people say that the child has been acting strangely ever since her mother was rescued.
The police also felt there were many suspicious things about the village. One or two times could be a coincidence, but if it happened too many times, even a fool would find it strange.
They are particularly convinced that the bacterial infection was caused by someone poisoning the bacteria.
The investigators recorded the life stories of these people and discovered that they all shared one characteristic.
They all really enjoyed visiting Ji Dama's house.
After asking several more questions, the clues became clearer and clearer: these dead people were all "regulars" at Ji Dama's house.
Apart from Ji Jinping, who seems rather honest.
But some people say he's not honest and is just putting on a show.
The police felt that among all these incidents, finding the child would likely clarify everything.
But what about the child?
Furthermore, does a primary school child have such an ability?
Are there any other helpers?
For example, the Yu family?
Yu Man's family?
