Chapter 3: That sickly guy is actually a master of metaphysics?!
"You've figured out a way to break my fate, but what if it doesn't work out? There's no one in this world who wants me to live. They all wish I were dead!" He pointed at the Ji family members behind him in despair.
"If you had found this method, you would have found it long ago. Why would you have waited until today?"
"Ji Huaizhi, you are truly unreasonable!" his fellow disciples denounced him.
"That's right, don't we want you to live? Junior Brother was so good to you before, how can you live with yourself?"
"What do you know? It's not you who are going to die!" The original owner started coughing as he got anxious.
Clutching her chest and trying to catch her breath, she said, "I can't do anything about it!"
"My junior brother was already dead when I found out. My uncle promised me he wouldn't kill you, he just..."
Before he could finish speaking, Ji Yao uttered an incantation, and one of the disciples collapsed to the ground, his body bursting into flames. After a short while, he stopped convulsing and became still.
"Uncle... Uncle..."
Ji Yao ignored the original owner.
Instead, he roared at the Taoist priest of Wan'an Mountain, "He was the one who burned my A-Yuan to death back then."
Master Wan'an witnessed Ji Yao kill his disciple and immediately went up to fight him.
"I have no grudge against you, yet you want to take my disciple's life!"
"No enmity?" Ji Yao sneered, "I have a huge grudge against your Wan'an Taoist Temple!"
Ji Yao went all out, and many of his men came and surrounded everyone at Wan'an Taoist Temple.
The fellow disciples wouldn't sit idly by and wait to be killed; they immediately started fighting them.
Master Wan'an was unable to dodge Ji Yao's attacks, mainly because his limbs were weak and powerless, and he was directly severely injured.
"Master!"
Ji Yao took out a talisman: "I not only want your disciple's life, I also want everyone in Wan'an Taoist Temple to be buried with my A Yuan!"
The original owner didn't understand how things had developed into this way.
"Uncle, you said you wouldn't kill anyone!" The original owner stood in front of his master.
Ji Yao, impatient, shoved him aside with a single command: "Get out of here! You idiot!"
Master Wan'an coughed up blood; his incantation was ineffective, and he couldn't even finish reciting it.
Thinking back to the fact that the original owner didn't drink a drop of water when she went down the mountain, she understood what had happened.
He glanced at the original owner lying on the ground with a complicated expression.
Weakly collapsing to the ground, he said to Ji Yao, "You say I have a grudge against you, then release the people from Wan'an Taoist Temple, and I'll do whatever you want with me."
"They are innocent."
Ji Yao's magical artifact trembled, and his face showed obvious anger: "You hypocritical, stinking Taoist priests!"
"Tell me you're innocent?"
"Oh!"
Ji Yao didn't waste any more words with Daoist Wan'an. After performing a spell, he directly struck Daoist Wan'an.
"Master!"
The other fellow disciples in the Taoist temple have been captured by Ji Yao's men.
The original owner panicked.
"Uncle, you can't do that. My master has never done anything evil. Didn't you say you wouldn't kill anyone?"
Seeing that everyone at Wan'an Taoist Temple had been apprehended, Ji Yao felt much better and his dislike for the original owner of the body lessened considerably.
"Good nephew, let's not talk about these things now, as it will affect our relationship. Don't you want to live?"
The original owner released Ji Yao's hand: "Uncle."
"Don't worry about the rest."
The original owner turned to look at his master, who looked utterly despondent. His disappointed gaze made the original owner uneasy, as did his fellow disciples who were cursing loudly behind him.
They were pinned down, and some looked to be in great pain.
The original owner seemed to realize what he had done only then: "I don't want to live anymore, Uncle, release my master."
The original owner now understood that Ji Yao would not let Wan'an Taoist Temple go: "Please let them go, I don't want to live anymore, I regret it."
Ji Yao pushed him away: "If you're not going to live, then don't get in my way!"
The original owner looked at the other members of the Ji family.
Their expressions suggested they had expected this: "Father, you had my uncle release my master and fellow disciples. Isn't the Ji family on good terms with Wan'an Taoist Temple?"
Weren't you two friends before?
Ji Qingshan sneered: "When your junior brother dies in the Ji family, the Ji family and Wandao Temple will become irreconcilable enemies."
“Your uncle is right. Since that’s the case, we might as well take this opportunity to do something for the Ji family and crush them completely.”
"To avoid posing a threat to the Ji family."
The original owner was stunned.
He dared not look back at the expressions of his master and fellow disciples.
The Wan'an Taoist Temple was besieged that night, and everyone there was captured.
The Ji family has taken over all the magical artifacts and treasures in the Taoist temple, so it's no wonder they readily agreed to Ji Yao's actions.
It turns out they had their own agenda.
The next day, Wan'an Taoist Temple was reported by the media. The temple appeared to be doing good deeds and providing social and educational services, but in private it was engaged in illegal transactions.
The Taoist temple had long been a hideout for illegal and criminal activities in the mountains. Several suspects were arrested, including Taoist Master Wan'an, Wangxing, Wangyue, Wangshan, and Wanggui. This arrest effectively maintained local social order.
The Taoist temple was overthrown, and the people inside were arrested and taken away somewhere.
After a few days of feeling down, the original owner went to find Ji Yao.
But no one in the Ji family paid him any attention.
Upon hearing this, Ji Huaiyuan went to the original owner of the body and mocked her: "You're still waiting for your uncle? Aren't you even thinking of a way to save your master?"
"I heard your master was only hanging on by a thread; how pitiful!"
"The funniest thing is that last night, before he passed out, he asked his uncle if he really had a way to break your fate? Hahahahahahahahahaha!"
As Ji Huaiyuan spoke, she couldn't help but laugh: "It's really ridiculous. I didn't expect that anyone would still have their eyes on you."
Driven to desperation, the original owner used a spell to pinch Ji Huaiyuan's shoulder, causing injury.
However, the original owner was pinned down by the Ji family.
"Let go! I am the eldest young master of the Ji family!"
Ji Huaiyuan stepped forward and slapped the original owner of the body: "Let me tell you, the Ji family only has my brother as the young master and me as the young lady! You good-for-nothing, do you really think you're something special?"
The original owner had never suffered such injustice.
I'm going to kill you!
Ji Huaiyuan: "Just you?"
Ji Huaiming came over to persuade her, but there was not a trace of blame in his tone: "Yuanyuan, what are you doing?"
"I'll teach him a lesson!" Ji Huaiyuan clutched her shoulder. "He attacked me! I originally wanted to teach him a lesson with talismans, but I was afraid his frail body couldn't withstand it, and it would affect your heart transplant surgery."
Upon hearing this, the original owner disregarded the humiliation and exclaimed, "What?"
Ji Huaiming looked distressed: "I'm sorry, I didn't tell you because I was afraid you wouldn't be able to handle the shock. I'll tell you when we're about to have the surgery."
"Where's my uncle? I need to find my uncle!" The original owner went berserk, and in his anxiety, he started coughing and became weak again.
The people behind him didn't exert any force when they held him down.
"You don't actually believe your uncle has a way to break your fate, do you? Don't dream!" Ji Huaiyuan said, "That's just a lie, otherwise why would you lie to those stinky Taoist priests?"
Ji Huaiming then clasped his hands in a fist salute: "Brother, don't worry, I will definitely make the Ji family prosper and take good care of the family. You can rest assured."
The original owner was so angry that he suffered a stroke.
He vomited blood.
That's why my body couldn't hold on much longer.
The surgery was performed ahead of schedule.
Ji Huaiming, dressed in surgical scrubs, comforted his father, mother, and sister at the operating room door. After going inside, he looked at the pale-faced original owner and couldn't help but curl the corners of his lips into a smile.
Lying calmly on the operating table, I asked the doctor, "Will a person die immediately if they lose their heart?"
"Under normal circumstances, a person will die immediately without a heart,"
"What a pity~ He can't see it for himself." Ji Huaiming closed his eyes, his expression expectant.
"Let's begin."
