Chapter 4 Bad Dad 4
After seeing the door close, Ji Fangqin couldn't help but burst into tears.
She doesn't understand why adults change so quickly; her parents' divorce has had a huge impact on her.
The image of her father as a towering figure crumbled in her heart, which was the most unacceptable thing for her.
In the past, all her friends and classmates envied her for having such handsome and beautiful parents.
Most importantly, her parents are very good to her.
Now it's all gone, everything is gone.
The impact on her mind was significant.
Ji Huaizhi stood outside the door, silently listening to his daughter cry. Yang Mingju couldn't help but scold him when she saw this.
"Now you realize how terribly wrong you were, right?"
"You went to seek your youthful love, didn't you ever think this day would come?"
Looking at her son, Yang Mingju's eyes were filled with heartache: "Your father has been gone for so many years, and I, a widow, raised you. You have always been my pride, but you have made such a mistake."
"Later, when you married Xiang Nuan, although I was unhappy that she didn't have a second child, I still thought she was so wonderful."
"But you abandoned her to find another woman. That woman can't live a peaceful life alone."
Yang Mingju was truly heartbroken: "Only you believed what she said."
She watched her son and Xiang Nuan build their business from scratch.
And yet, after only a few years, he's already gotten arrogant.
“Mom, people are inherently irrational.” Ji Huaizhi refused to admit he was wrong: “My marriage with Xiang Nuan would have ended even without Wei Wei.”
Xiang Nuan, being such a smart woman, had long ago noticed that the original owner was cheating.
They were just waiting for an opportunity, or perhaps they still had expectations for the original owner, hoping that he could return to his family.
Wei Wei was merely the trigger.
"She must have known all along what I did to deserve this."
Hearing her son's words, Yang Mingju was exasperated: "Why did you have to do that?"
"If only you had known this would happen, you wouldn't have done it in the first place."
Ji Huaizhi: "I'm just pretending to be a good man. I have the worst traits that most men have."
"It's just that you've always overestimated me."
Hearing her son say that made Yang Mingju angry, and she pushed him away in disgust:
"You're quite proud of yourself."
"If your dad were still alive, he'd probably have broken your legs by now!"
Ji Huaizhi: "My dad died young. If he were still alive now, who can guarantee that he would be a good man for the rest of his life?"
No sooner had he said this than Ji Huaizhi was beaten by his mother.
"You've really lived in vain! That's your father!" Does she really think she has no temper?
"You're not even as good as one of your dad's toes, you know that?"
Ji Huaizhi covered his head and dodged, saying, "I'm telling the truth, why are you so agitated?"
"I'm a man, don't I understand men?"
When Yang Mingju slapped him, Ji Huaizhi felt that there must be a big handprint on his back.
"I don't deny that there are good men in this world, but many men are sophisticated egoists, and too many of them are just figments of your imagination."
Yang Mingju was so angry that her face turned red and her neck bulged. She didn't hold back when she hit him again.
"Look at you, so impatient!" Ji Huaizhi winced in pain. "Can't you hear the truth?"
Yang Mingju: "You also have a daughter. Aren't you afraid that Qinqin will meet people like you when she grows up?"
"So from now on, I will only train my daughter, not my son-in-law."
"If that doesn't work, just kick it!"
As a result of Ji Huaizhi's mess, he didn't get lunch.
At noon, Ji Fangqin came out to eat wearing a coat, and remained silent the whole time.
Her eyes were red, it was obvious she had been crying.
Yang Mingju sighed: "Go back with your dad tomorrow. You're still his darling. Don't let that mother and daughter take advantage of you."
“If either of them makes you unhappy, tell your dad,” Yang Mingju instructed her. “If your dad is out of his mind, call me and I’ll back you up.”
Ji Fangqin nodded: "I understand, Grandma."
"I miss my mom a little."
Ji's mother looked at her son, who was making a phone call in front of the flower bed, and said, "Use my phone to call your mother in a little while."
Xiang Nuan also missed her daughter very much, but she did not expect Ji Huaizhi to be so despicable as to send her daughter away directly.
"Qinqin, Mom has settled things here. Your dad must feel guilty towards you right now. You should accept whatever he gives you; it's only right."
“I will fight for custody of you. You're with your grandma now, right?”
The woman's voice was hoarse; she must have been very tired lately.
“Your grandma is more reasonable than your dad. I’m planning to come and see you when I have some time in the next couple of days.”
I also want to take my daughter with me.
She was constantly worried about her daughter not being by her side.
"I know, Mom. Take care of yourself." Ji Fangqin pursed her lips. "He came to pick me up and said he wouldn't stop me from seeing you anymore."
The other person seemed surprised: "He really said that?"
“Yes.” Ji Fangqin nodded. “But he said that I must have custody of him.”
Xiang Nuan sneered. What he wanted most was a son. If that woman got pregnant, his daughter would definitely suffer.
"At worst, we can continue the lawsuit."
“If he really wants your custody, then he must have a notarized document stating that all his assets must be given to you.” Xiang Nuan is a very calm person.
If he doesn't hide his daughter, doesn't prevent the mother and daughter from seeing each other, and gives all his property to his daughter as a guarantee that he won't have any more children, she can choose not to fight for custody.
But based on his understanding of Ji Huaizhi, this was simply impossible.
Although he doted on his daughter, she knew that he still missed his son.
Before the divorce, they mentioned having a second child many times.
She never mentioned it, fearing it would upset her daughter. Of course, it would be best if she could get more benefits for her daughter.
She is now divorced and preparing to build her own career, and she is afraid that she will not be able to take care of her daughter.
"Mom, why did Dad change so quickly?" She racked her brains but couldn't figure it out.
Xiang Nuan knew that this broken marriage would have the biggest impact on her daughter.
She believed that time could heal all her pain, but her daughter was different.
That was her father.
The daughter is the one who suffers the most from the quick remarriage after the divorce.
Thinking of this made her grit her teeth in hatred, and the bitterness in her eyes couldn't be contained.
"Qinqin, people are bound to change. There's a saying that all good things must come to an end." Xiang Nuan cleared her throat as she said this.
She was afraid her daughter would notice something unusual.
"Very few people can be consistent."
"But he will always be your father, and you are my most beloved daughter."
After hanging up the phone, Xiang Nuan couldn't help but burst into tears while holding her phone.
Even though he's remarried, she still can't get over it.
Because he cheated on her and divorced, and then quickly entered into a second marriage, Xiang Nuan doubted herself.
But she had to pull herself together after crying; she couldn't go on like this.
