Chapter 7 The Demon Pill Stepfather 7
Ji Huaizhi divorced Zhang Fengning as soon as he got the money. The people at the Civil Affairs Bureau originally wanted to advise him, but the man in front of them said:
"Don't try to persuade her. She brought her mistress with her. I bet they'll get their marriage certificate soon after they get their divorce certificate."
The staff member twitched his lips speechlessly.
I've seen even more outrageous things while working here; they immediately went through the procedures and got their divorce certificates right away.
Lin Kaihui happily took Zhang Fengning's hand: "You two are divorced, now we can be together openly."
The others who heard this were practically showing their disdain.
Everyone thought this woman was blind.
She looked at Ji Huaizhi with pity. He was quite a handsome uncle, but unfortunately his wife didn't love him.
Ji Huaizhi noticed the gaze directed at him: "Are you pitying me?"
The man nodded and then shook his head.
"I didn't see you give me any money even though you sympathized with me. Do I, a nobody, need your sympathy?" Ji Huaizhi said sarcastically as he put away the divorce certificate.
What is a person without a job, residence, or employment?
"No mortgage, no car loan, no offspring." Ji Huaizhi raised an eyebrow: "That's the kind of person I am, people are afraid of me when I walk down the street."
Everyone else was sweating bullets when they heard this.
They are indeed afraid of people like that.
Ji Huaizhi glanced at the happy Lin Kaihui and Zhang Fengning standing to the side.
After saying "Hey," he pulled out two hundred yuan from his pocket: "This is a gift for you."
Zhang Fengning's face immediately fell: "Who do you think you are?"
"This is a blessing. I wish you a long and happy life together, and that you will work hard all your life but never get rich."
Everyone: What a venomous mouth!
“You…” Zhang Fengning’s face turned red with anger.
Ji Huaizhi raised his hand to say goodbye and left, then turned back as if remembering something: "By the way, why are you taking your child with you and letting him eat and drink for free at my house?"
Zhang Fengning stomped her foot: "We won't take them away. If you're not willing to raise them, your parents will definitely be."
Lin Kaihui's feet were still a little sore: "Are you really not going to bring him back? Will he come to our house and cause trouble again?"
"If we don't take the child, do you think we'll be able to manage it if we have another one?"
Zhang Fengning now understands that couples who marry later in life are most prone to making mistakes. The reason Lin Kaihui is so accommodating to her now is because of the novelty; he's in the middle of his infatuation.
If they have no children together after a long time, then it's hard to say.
She's not young anymore; if she gets any older, she'll be the one who suffers.
So they still need to have a child.
When Lin Kaihui heard her say that she wanted to have his child, her face lit up with a wide smile.
He took her hand and went to get their marriage certificate.
The staff members were full of questions when they saw a familiar face bring in another person; they had expressions of surprise and delight.
That's really interesting.
When Ji Huaizhi entered the house, he was eating an apple and carrying other fruits in his other hand.
When Ji's father saw this, he adjusted his glasses and said, "That's rare. This is the first time I've seen you come in with your hands full."
Ji Huaizhi snorted coldly: "Your son is being filial to you."
But the next thing I expected was: "Want some money to spend?"
Ji's father simply lifted the newspaper to cover his face, and he knew it.
Zhou Qing and Ji's mother were preparing the dishes at the dining table when Ji's mother heard them and snorted coldly, "We dare not spend the poor man's money, lest our own pockets be coveted."
Ji Huaizhi finished eating the apple in his hand and threw it in the trash can: "Prejudice in people's hearts is a mountain!"
"I understand, that's how I am in your eyes."
“You have no image in our hearts.” Ji’s father’s voice came from behind the newspaper.
Zhou Qing couldn't help but smile. Actually, the Ji family was quite fun when they weren't arguing.
"Are you mocking me?" Ji Huaizhi's eyes immediately locked onto Zhou Qing.
Zhou Qing regained his expression and silently shook his head.
"Don't scare your daughter."
Zhou Qing was taken aback by Ji's mother's words.
Ji Huaizhi looked choked up, like he was constipated, but in the end he didn't say anything.
"I actually have a surprise for you all." With that, Ji Huaizhi slammed a bank card on the table.
Mr. Ji placed the newspaper on the paper: "Isn't this the card we gave you?"
"There was 50,000 yuan inside. I got back 50,000 of the 100,000 yuan that Zhang Fengning ran off with." Ji Huaizhi spread his arms and raised an eyebrow: "How about it?"
Zhou Qing stood up excitedly.
Mrs. Ji frowned: "You found her?"
“Found it, and got a divorce while I was at it.” Ji Huaizhi blinked.
Mr. Ji picked up the bank card and put it away, then looked at Mrs. Ji: "Check it when we go for a walk later."
Ji's mother looked at her son with a somewhat suspicious expression: "I'll ask you about the divorce later. You said you wanted 50,000 back?"
"Yes, as long as we get 50,000 back."
"They were supposed to be back a few days ago." Ji Huaizhi sat down and put his hands on the sofa. "No need to praise me."
"Just give me some pocket money later."
Ji's mother had already gotten up, picked up the feather duster from the refrigerator, and hit Ji Huaizhi's arm directly.
Ji Huaizhi's face contorted in pain as he kept rubbing his arm.
"Wow~ You hit me so hard?"
"I don't believe you for a second. If you just bring back 50,000, you'll definitely get all the money back!" Mother Ji knew her son all too well.
"You haven't been back for two days. Did you spend all that money on gambling with your buddies again?"
"Oh! Ms. Cai, this is an insult to my character!"
Ji's mother struck his leg again: "Then let me show you what insult is!"
"Ouch! Stop hitting me!" Ji Huaizhi jumped onto the sofa.
Seeing him step directly on the sofa with his dirty shoes, Ji's mother's eyes went black: "Ji Huaizhi, you're really asking for a beating! I just washed this sofa cover a couple of days ago, and you've dirtied it again."
Zhou Qing stood to one side.
She desperately wanted to ask about her mother's whereabouts.
"How much of this money did you actually get back?" A few more feathers fell from Ji's mother's feather duster.
80,000.
Just as Ji's mother raised her hand, she heard Ji Huaizhi say again, "100,000, 100,000."
"You've spent all 50,000 left?" Father Ji asked.
No, that's not the case.
Upon hearing this, Ji's mother prepared to put down the feather duster, only to hear her son say that there were only 20,000 left.
What did you do?
"I didn't do anything. They took a liking to a project, and I invested a little, not much." Ji Huaizhi was still rubbing the spot where he had been hit.
Seeing Ji's mother's expression, she shouted again, "Ms. Cai, don't look at me like that. I didn't play cards."
"Actually, I bet all 50,000 on the card, and the 20,000 I have on me is what I won from playing cards."
Ji's mother pointed at him: "You really are!!! Ji Huaizhi, what can I say about you?"
"Just praise me, what are you saying?" Ji Huaizhi grasped her outstretched finger: "Their project is alright, I've looked at it."
"As you know, my brothers may love to have fun, but they do know how to make money."
"I just noticed you've gotten old lately, so I thought I'd earn some extra money to make you happy."
It took a lot of persuasion before Ji Huaizhi's mother finally put down the feather duster.
Ji's parents knew that his cronies were indeed good at making money, but they couldn't hold onto it; they spent all the money they earned on eating, drinking, and having fun.
Of all these people, Ji Huaizhi was the most useless, but these cronies of his were loyal to their brothers.
When Ji Huaizhi was really broke, they were quite generous, occasionally helping him earn a little money or losing some to him while playing cards, but the couple still didn't like them.
"As long as you don't squander the money, you'll have to pay me back the 50,000 later. You can keep the profits for yourself."
Hearing his mother's words, Ji Huaizhi frowned: "You're being too distant. What do you mean by 'repayment' between us?"
Father Ji changed the subject, glancing at Zhou Qing: "What's going on with Zhang Fengning?"
"How did you find them so quickly?"
