Chapter 9 Life Swap

Chapter 9 Life Swap

Tang Guixiang completely ignored Ji Xiong and his son. Feng Li wanted to move in, as she hoped her mother-in-law would help take care of her child, but no one opened the door for her.

This made her unhappy.

"Okay, Mom, don't think about it anymore. There are ways to live apart. Don't dwell on it too much." Sun Qiao can get out of bed now.

Tang Guixiang, who was cooking, was comforting her child while holding her.

"I'm just not feeling right. People outside think I'm heartless and that I'm making a mountain out of a molehill." Tang Guixiang wiped the stove. "Feng Li tries to stop me every few days."

"You want to persuade me to reconcile with Ji Xiong? I'm not that stupid."

Sun Qiao naturally knew why Feng Li was looking for her mother-in-law: "Just pretend you didn't see it. You don't have that relationship. You don't need to get involved in Gang Qiang's family's affairs."

Tang Guixiang: "I don't know her yet, but I just want to take care of her children in the future."

“If I don’t help her now, she won’t let Ji Jiao go to school. Isn’t that just forcing me? But she’s not my child.”

"It's not my fault."

Sun Qiao knew that her mother-in-law was upset, and she had been bringing up these things from time to time these past few days.

"And what about Ji Xiong? Why does she come every day to mediate, and even get other people to do it?" Tang Guixiang said, working even harder as she spoke, channeling her grief and anger into her efforts.

"Isn't it just that Ji Xiong's personality is annoying? He talks too much and even interferes in his daughter-in-law's affairs. No wonder Feng Li can't stand it."

“I used to say a few words to him to tell him to behave, but you see, his family has been making a lot of noise since then.”

Sun Qiao knew, of course, that she couldn't stand her father-in-law's temperament either.

He just had a fight with his father, so his father-in-law will be visiting less often.

Actually, Sun Qiao was quite happy.

As for the mother-in-law not living with the father-in-law anymore, it might not sound good to outsiders, but Sun Qiao doesn't care.

The main reason is that her mother-in-law is too diligent. When she is around, she and Gangzheng have a really easy time. So if her mother-in-law lives with them, Sun Qiao wouldn't mind.

She married into the family partly because of Tang Guixiang.

"Then we'll just watch the show. You'll see, Dad will definitely regret it." Sun Qiao had a sweet tongue and offered plenty of emotional support: "He'll realize what he missed out on after losing such a good wife like you."

Tang Guixiang washed her hands and hugged Ji Huaizhi: "Hmph, even if I regret it, I won't bother with him."

"As long as you and Gangzheng don't mind me being a burden, that's fine."

Sun Qiao laughed: "Aren't you a burden? But now that you've separated, you'll have a lot more freedom in the future."

"Gangqiang and his wife are good at putting on a show; they were never polite when they asked you for help before."

"I won't concern myself with anything they do from now on!" Tang Guixiang felt that she would definitely feel relieved after they separated.

Now she just needs to take care of herself and her grandson. Her daughter is married well and doesn't need her to worry about her. Her son and daughter-in-law are much better than that ungrateful Ji Gangqiang.

"mom!"

Just as the meal was almost finished, a familiar voice came from outside the door.

Sun Qiao smiled and said, "Big sister is here."

"Oh dear, that damned woman didn't even tell me she was coming." Tang Guixiang said this, but her face showed her delight.

"My older sister is calling from over there at the bungalow. I'll go get her. Mom, you can just fry an egg and that'll be enough. The chicken that's been simmering in the pot can be brought directly to the table. That's enough for the three of us."

"That damn woman, she always says she'll be back and then comes back without a word." Tang Guixiang quickly scrambled an egg, and to make it look nicer, she also stir-fried some greens.

When Wang Yucui came over carrying her things, Feng Li was watching from the window.

There seemed to be a lot of good stuff in that bag, but now that things have turned sour, all of that stuff has ended up benefiting Sun Qiao.

Seeing Ji Jiao washing rice, he called out, "Jiao Jiao, go and call for someone in a bit."

"Your aunt is back."

Ji Jiao was actually a little embarrassed. Now her grandmother was ignoring her, and even though she was a child, she knew that there was a fight going on at home.

"Just go when I tell you to. I saw your aunt carrying apples."

Sun Qiao started chatting with Wang Yucui: "Next time you come, just come, but don't bring so much stuff, lest your man complains."

"He wouldn't dare! What's wrong with me using my own salary to buy some things for my family?" Wang Yucui, with her fiery temper inherited from Tang Guixiang, retorted, "Mom, what's wrong with Uncle Ji glaring at me just now?"

"Did you two fight again?"

Tang Guixiang continued working: "Nothing much, it's just that I'm not going to live with him anymore."

"Great news!" Wang Yucui clapped her hands, startling Ji Huaizhi.

"Oh dear, you scared my nephew!" she said, taking Ji Huaizhi into her arms and saying, "What a handsome child."

Seeing that she was holding the child, Sun Qiao went to bring over the dishes to eat.

Wang Yucui realized what was happening: "Nobody told me about this. Did Ji Xiong bully you?"

"Keep your voice down. Even if we're not together anymore, you can't just call him by his name." Tang Guixiang glared at her.

Wang Yucui rolled her eyes: "So what?"

"I only called him Uncle Ji because of you. Now that you're no longer with him, calling him Uncle would be a waste of my breath."

"Alright, just live your own life. You don't need to worry about me. Your younger brother and sister-in-law are here." Tang Guixiang invited her to eat.

Ji Huaizhi was then placed in a small wooden bed.

"Gangzheng and I thought you'd only come over when the baby's one-month celebration was coming up," the group chatted over dinner.

“I was too busy before, so today I just left the baby with his grandma. I thought I’d come and see my nephew.” Wang Yucui was very informal at her sister-in-law’s house.

The main thing is that they all get along quite well.

"My brother went to work? How's he been lately?"

Sun Qiao: "It's still the same. Fortunately, I have my mother at home, so I'm not without a pillar of support."

"You just need to take care of yourself during your postpartum period. My mom will take care of you and you won't even need to get out of bed."

Tang Guixiang: "Even eating can't shut you up."

Ji Huaizhi looked at this aunt. In her previous life, after learning that the original owner was not her nephew, she never gave the original owner a kind look and even advised Ji Gangzheng and Sun Qiao to kick the original owner out.

At that time, Ji Gangqiang and his wife left with their child, and Tang Guixiang and Ji Xiong were considered divorced.

She even made a special trip back to smash up Ji Xiong and Ji Gangqiang's house.

He pointed at Ji Xiong's nose and cursed him as well.

Before Wang Yucui could even sit down properly after dinner, Feng Li arrived with her child and Ji Jiao.

"Big sister's back? Why don't you come to my house for dinner?" Feng Li felt that she couldn't refuse someone who was smiling.

With such a good attitude, her sister-in-law surely won't give her a cold shoulder, right?

But she was wrong. Wang Yucui looked up and said, "Why would I go to your house? You used to be so afraid that I would eat an extra bite of your food. You didn't come over to say hello just because I brought these things, did you?"

Feng Li's face stiffened, while Sun Qiao tilted her head and smiled.

This woman has such a sharp tongue; she can't help but laugh every time she hears something like that.

Luckily, I have a good relationship with her, otherwise she definitely wouldn't be able to win an argument with my older sister.

"Big sister, what are you saying? I just wanted to come and chat with you, didn't I?" Feng Li tried her best to control her expression and shamelessly sat down next to her. "Did your sister-in-law tell you that Mom and Dad had a fight?"

Tang Guixiang was not there at this time.

Wang Yucui just wanted to see what she was up to.

“I told them they don’t want to live together anymore.” Wang Yucui held the child on her lap. “That’s good. My mother works herself to the bone all day and gets a reputation for being biased. She’s also criticized for not doing as well as the other person.”

"You can't say that. Everyone argues and bickers in their lives. We, as their children, can't just hope they get divorced, can we?"

“I’m looking forward to it!” Wang Yucui’s words made Sun Qiao smile.

"Your husband always acts like everyone owes him something. Don't say my mom is biased anymore."
