Chapter 9 The Ungrateful Younger Brother and the Terrible Uncle
"Ji Huaizhi, aren't you bored here all by yourself?" Jiang Xinyi came down and stood next to him: "I'll come find you to play after I deliver the things to Teacher Jiang."
"Hey classmate, I'm a boy and you're a girl, what fun things can we do together?"
"Go back to class early."
Jiang Xinyi pouted and got up to walk downstairs.
"Ji Huaizhi, I hate you." After saying that, Jiang Xinyi ran down the stairs.
Ji Huaizhi suddenly frowned and looked up.
She just said she was sending something to Teacher Jiang?
As she was about to go downstairs, Ji Huaizhi called out to her before she entered the teaching building.
Jiang Xinyi turned around upon hearing the voice: "What are you doing? Skipping class and still wandering around?"
Ji Huaizhi took the folder from her hand: "Teacher Jiang, right? I'll deliver it for you."
Jiang Xinyi's face flushed instantly: "Isn't this inappropriate? What if the other teachers misunderstand..."
"You know Teacher Jiang very well?" Ji Huaizhi interrupted her narcissistic thoughts.
"He's our teacher; we have one of his classes a week."
Ji Huaizhi looked at Jiang Xinyi's face. With her non-mainstream makeup removed, she looked soft, cute, and harmless.
"You can go now, I'll deliver this for you."
Jiang Xinyi felt a sweet warmth in her heart as she watched his retreating figure. He just couldn't let go of her, even helping her deliver things.
Suddenly I realized that I hadn't told him which office Teacher Jiang was in.
Following his memory from the morning, Ji Huaizhi arrived at Teacher Jiang's office and knocked on the door.
There was a rustling sound inside, and a girl with a ponytail came out of the door and quickly ran out.
Ji Huaizhi recognized her at a glance as the girl who had been in the office that morning.
"Enter."
The man was wiping his glasses when he put them on and realized that the person standing at the door was a student he didn't recognize.
"Student, who are you looking for? None of the other teachers are in the office."
Ji Huaizhi picked up the folder: "I'm looking for Teacher Jiang. I'm delivering something for someone."
Jiang Cheng looked at the blue folder, stood up and took it: "Thank you, didn't I ask Jiang Xinyi from the nursing class to bring it?"
Which class are you in?
Ji Huaizhi curled his lips, a mischievous glint in his eyes, and pointed to the window behind him: "I'm a student in Professor Yu's class of auto repair across the street."
Jiang Cheng's body stiffened for a moment, then he immediately regained his composure.
"So you're a student in Teacher Yu's class."
"Yes, goodbye, Teacher Jiang."
Ji Huaizhi turned around.
Jiang Cheng's gentle expression vanished instantly. He closed the office door, turned to the window, and found that he could indeed see across the street.
But you shouldn't be able to see clearly from this distance.
When Ji Huaizhi returned, Jiang Xinyi was still waiting there. Upon seeing him arrive, she quickly stepped forward and said, "Ji Huaizhi!"
Why did you just deliver the documents for me?
Ji Huaizhi stopped in his tracks: "Jiang, use your brain. That Teacher Jiang is no good person."
After saying that, he left and went back to the classroom.
Teacher Yu still didn't return the next day, saying that the school had sent him to another city with the graduating students.
Every year, the school sends graduates to internships, usually by sending the students' homeroom teachers. But this time, for some reason, it was Teacher Yu from the auto repair class who was sent.
Ji Huaizhi and his classmates' homeroom teacher has been temporarily replaced. It is said that Teacher Yu will not be back for several months.
Sitting in the classroom, Ji Huaizhi turned to look at the teaching building across the street.
I noticed that the female classmate from yesterday had gone to the office again. After thinking for a moment, I took out a mirror from my pocket and reflected a beam of light onto her.
Jiang Cheng was about to draw the curtains when a beam of light shone directly into his eyes.
My eyes felt instantly uncomfortable from the swaying.
He tightened his grip on the curtains and said to the student behind him, with his back to her, "You can go now."
The trembling, frightened female student immediately left upon hearing this.
After everyone left, Ji Huaizhi put away the mirror.
Upon seeing this, Liu Shuai said, "Brother Ji, when did you become so concerned about your appearance?"
Ji Huaizhi ignored him.
At lunchtime, Ji Huaizhi saw Jiang Cheng in the cafeteria and took the initiative to greet him: "Teacher Jiang."
"I remember you, classmate." Jiang Cheng smiled slightly. "Eating in the cafeteria?"
"What else can you do if you don't eat in the cafeteria?" Ji Huaizhi said with a roguish air.
Looking at Jiang Cheng's glasses, she said, "Hey, the weather's so nice today, doesn't it hurt your eyes if you wear those glasses, Teacher Jiang?"
Jiang Cheng was about to say no, but then he looked at Ji Huaizhi as if he remembered something.
The smile faded from his eyes, replaced by a fierce glint.
"I sit by the window in class, and it's so bright even without my glasses on," Ji Huaizhi said as he left, whispering as he passed Jiang Cheng, "Maybe my eyesight is just too good."
Jiang Cheng watched Ji Huaizhi's departing figure.
He adjusted the glasses on his nose.
"Brother Ji, why are you talking to that sissy?" Zhang Youwei put a mouthful of rice into his mouth.
Ji Huaizhi had little appetite and handed the plate to Zhang Youwei and Liu Shuai.
"Just kidding." Ji Huaizhi touched his injured hand. "By the way, are you busy tonight? Want to do something exciting?"
"What's exciting?" Liu Shuai asked.
Zhang Youwei also looked at him curiously.
Ji Huaizhi leaned closer: "Didn't you suspect anything when our old teacher was suddenly transferred?"
"It seems he found out something terrible and was deliberately transferred. Should we come to school together tonight to find out the truth?"
Zhang Youwei swallowed his food: "Brother, this school is really weird, both day and night."
"Let's forget about it."
“Yes, before we even came here to study, I heard that a student had hanged himself at the school. It hadn’t been two years.”
As Liu Shuai spoke, he suddenly looked at Ji Huaizhi and said, "Moreover, the teacher you just spoke to was the first to discover that girl had an accident."
Ji Huaizhi frowned: "Didn't the girl's family cause any trouble?"
"I don't know."
Ji Huaizhi looked at Jiang Cheng, who was sitting in the corner eating: "Interesting."
After school, Ji Huaizhi went to the bustling street and put down his things at a stall to help tidy up the table.
Qin Shuang looked up: "School's out?"
Ji Huaizhi gave a soft "hmm," tidied the table, and then took the things from Qin Shuang's hands.
Qin Shuang sells potatoes on this bustling street; she sells mashed potatoes, mashed potatoes, crispy potato slices, and roasted potatoes.
"Boss, I'd like the wolf tooth potatoes without cilantro, and an extra serving of mashed potatoes with extra houttuynia cordata."
Qin Shuang skillfully mixed the potatoes as soon as she saw people arrive. Ji Huaizhi had been coming to help her every day after school for the past two days, which made her life much easier.
Ji Renyi needs to finish up his work in another city, and he plans to come back and set up a stall with Qin Shuang while looking for work.
When Li Feng and Liu Song arrived, they saw Ji Huaizhi skillfully helping with the work with one hand.
"It looks much better than before," Li Feng said with a smile.
As soon as the two approached, Ji Huaizhi looked up and asked, "Eat potatoes?"
Li Feng: "You're treating us to dinner?"
"Then I won't."
Qin Shuang came over: "Please, he was just joking with you. What's wrong...?"
Li Feng pointed to Ji Huaizhi, indicating that he had come to see him.
Ji Huaizhi took off his school uniform: "What do you want? To give me a bonus?"
Liu Song laughed too: "You brat."
"You found that man's wife, right? I made it so clear to you back then, if you couldn't find her, then you would..." Ji Huaizhi didn't finish his sentence.
But the meaning wasn't very good anyway.
Li Feng: "We found it. The direction and clues you gave us back then were very clear."
"It saved us a lot of time, so our bureau applied for a bonus for you."
Upon hearing this, Ji Huaizhi had already spread his hands out.
Liu Song and Li Feng exchanged a glance, and Li Feng smiled and took out the money to give to him.
"Now you can treat us to potatoes?"
Ji Huaizhi counted two thousand: "I think you should treat me to a meal, and I'll give you another sales performance bonus?"
