Chapter 152: The Cold-hearted Uncle’s Pampered Bag (2)

Yan Xi seemed to be stuck in a dead end and had to get an answer.

Li Xia blinked and said casually: "I will definitely remember Brother Yan Xi."

Hearing Li Xia's affirmative answer, Yan Xi grinned.

"I knew Xiao Xia wasn't the kind of person without conscience."

Upon hearing this, Li Xia's mouth twitched slightly.

Is Yan Xi praising her or insulting her?

She believes the latter is more the case.

He is not his own parent, so he has no right to judge whether she has a conscience or not, right?

"Brother Yan Xi, let's go quickly. If we go too late there will be no seats left." Li Xia urged.

It was approaching noon.

The children playing outside went home one after another.

Li Xia was not very interested in such children's toys.

She played for half an hour and wanted to go home.

Turning around and seeing Yan Xi's excited look, she didn't want to be a spoiler.

I was bored and played with sand.

It was not until there were fewer and fewer children around that Li Xia remembered to check her watch.

There were too many children and it was too noisy around, so even though Li's father called Li Xia several times, she didn't hear it.

When Li Xia saw the missed call, she was afraid that Li's father would worry, so she called back immediately.

The receiver beeped several times but no one answered.

She walked up to Yan Xi and said to him, "Brother Yan Xi, my dad called me and I didn't answer. You see, many children around have gone back to eat, so it's time for us to go back too."

"Okay, let's go back then."

Yan Xi nodded.

"Oh, I almost forgot." Li Xia took two steps and suddenly stopped.

Yan Xi asked in confusion: "Xiao Xia, what's wrong?"

"Brother Yan Xi, my father invites you to have lunch at my house today."

"No need, my nanny has cooked..."

"Brother Yan Xi, are you looking down on my father's craftsmanship?"

Before Yan Xi could finish his words, Li Xia deliberately interrupted him.

"No, Uncle Li's cooking is so delicious, I like it so much." Yan Xi hurriedly explained with his lips opened.

If he has to put on this hat, how will he face Uncle Li in the future?

When Yan Xi saw the cunning flash in Li Xia's eyes, he knew she did it on purpose.

"Anyway, if you don't come, you just look down on the food my father cooks." Li Xia said.

That's the good thing about being a kid.

Throwing tantrums and being unreasonable can all be explained away by saying that children are ignorant.

In order to complete the task assigned by his father, Li Xia acted like a spoiled brat and experienced what it meant to be unreasonable.

"Okay, okay, I'll go. Wait for me for a moment. I'll call and tell Auntie."

After seeing Li Xia's series of actions, Yan Xi was really at a loss and could only agree to her.

Li Xia nodded in satisfaction, "Okay, go ahead."

Yan Xi blinked.

Looking at Li Xia's attitude, I knew clearly that she was inviting me to her house for dinner.

If you don’t know, you might think she is going to do something to him?

A few minutes later.

Yan Xi called the nanny and had a brief conversation with her. He then told her not to cook for him at noon.

The nanny is still worried.

When she heard that Yan Xi was going to the home of her next-door neighbor, Li Xia, she felt relieved and agreed.

Because situations like this have happened before.

Yan Xi and the original owner got along quite well. Sometimes when it was time for dinner, he could not resist the original owner's enthusiasm and would eat at her house.

His nanny didn't say anything when she saw Yan's parents.

So she was completely relieved about Yan Xi going to Li Xia's house.

After all, they are all neighbors, and there is nothing wrong with looking after each other's children.

After Yan Xi hung up the phone, he and Li Xia returned to the Li family.

“Ding Dong——”

Li Xia forgot to bring her keys when she went out, so she used her watch to call Li's father, but no one answered.

All she had left was to knock on the door and try her luck.

Li Xia knocked for about a minute, and she finally heard footsteps coming from the entrance.

“Bang—”

"Xiao Xia, Yan Xi, you two are finally back. I was thinking about you guys not coming back. I'll go downstairs to look for you after I finish cooking this dish."

When Mr. Li heard a knock on the door, he trotted to the entrance with a spatula in his hand and opened the door.

Li Xia explained, "Dad, when you called just now, there were too many people around and I didn't hear you. Later, when I called you back, you didn't answer."

"Oh, Dad was in the kitchen and didn't hear it. Dad's phone was accidentally turned to silent mode."

After listening to Li Xia's explanation, Li's father also explained what she said.

"Dad, what's wrong?"

The father and daughter were standing at the entrance talking. Li Xia wrinkled her nose because she smelled a strange smell.

Yan Xi also moved his nose hard and sniffed, "It seems like there is some strange smell." He frowned and spoke.

After hearing what the two said, Mr. Li reacted belatedly.

"Oh no!" He waved the spatula in his hand twice in the air, "The ribs in my pot are burnt!"

Father Li ran towards the kitchen.

Li Xia and Yan Xi followed closely behind.

As we walked into the room, the smell of burnt food became stronger.

"It's over. How could I forget to turn off the fire?" Father Li felt annoyed when he saw the ribs in the pot turned black like charcoal.
