Shan Yilin lowered his head, racking his brains to think of a reply to Li Xia.
For the first time, he felt helpless.
"I'll trust you again."
Li Xia blinked her eyes. She looked at Shan Yilin's helpless expression and inexplicably felt a surge of trust in him in her heart.
She lowered her eyes to look at the pill in her hand, then raised her head and swallowed it without hesitation.
Without water to swallow, bitterness spread in Li Xia's throat and his facial features were wrinkled.
"Xia Xia, you..." Seeing this, Shan Yilin's eyes flashed with surprise.
He was still thinking about what he should do to make Li Xia believe him.
Unexpectedly, when she looked up, she didn't need his proof and took the medicine directly.
"Xiao Xia, five minutes are up."
Li Wanshun looked at the time accurately. When five minutes were up, he immediately stretched his neck and looked in the direction of Li Xia and Shan Yilin. Not wanting to spend even a second letting his daughter be with him, he opened his mouth to remind them.
"You heard it, my dad is urging me. I have taken the medicine and it's time for me to go." Li Xia raised his eyes and said.
After she finished speaking, she turned and left.
Shan Yilin raised his eyes and looked at Li Xia's back.
He didn't say anything to stop it.
Li Wanshun is Li Xia's biological father.
It was my fault in the first place.
It was understandable that Shan Yilin had a bad attitude towards him.
He will try his best to reconcile the relationship between the two and not make things difficult for Li Xia.
"Xiao Xia, what's the point of saying anything to people with the surname Shan? From now on, the Shan family will go their own way and we will go our own way. We will never have anything to do with them again."
Seeing that Shan Yilin was still staring at Li Xia's back, Li Wanshun raised his eyes and glared at him fiercely.
If it weren't for my daughter, I would have beaten him to a pulp.
Li Xia moved her lips and said, "Dad, Grandpa Shan and his family have been very kind to me in raising me. No matter what, I can't be so heartless and forget their kindness."
Although she did not live with them during the years she was abroad.
But Zhou Yaya and Shan Ting have never neglected themselves because of this.
From childhood to adulthood, the balance on her card has only increased.
Both of them were afraid that they hadn't given her enough.
"Hey, silly girl, you are bullied because you have such a good heart and are too kind." Li Wanshun sighed.
"Dad, I've explained to you many times that he can't be blamed for everything that happened to the child. He was drunk that night, but I was sober..."
"Xiao Xia, please stop talking. There is no need to excuse that beast in human clothing."
Li Xia wanted to explain for Shan Yilin again, but as soon as Li Wanshun heard the topic about him, he immediately interrupted Li Xia.
In his heart, he was convinced that his daughter was being bullied.
Li Wanshun refused to listen to any explanation.
On the contrary, every time Li Xia explained for Shan Yilin, he hated him even more.
"Let's go." Li Wanshun pulled Li Xia away with a tough attitude.
She was not allowed to look behind her at all.
Shan Yilin witnessed the two people getting into a taxi. He took out his cell phone from his pocket and called Uncle Wang.
"Hey, sir, what's up?"
The phone rang twice and was quickly connected.
Uncle Wang's voice came from the receiver.
Shan Yilin raised his eyes to glance at the taxi that was leaving in a cloud of dust, and said softly, "Uncle Wang, you don't have to wait there any longer. I've found Xia Xia. Go downstairs and wait for me outside the community. I'll meet you there."
"Yes, sir."
Although Uncle Wang still had doubts in his heart, he did not ask too many questions but nodded in response.
After giving his instructions, Shan Yilin hung up the phone.
More than half an hour later.
"Sir, I'm here."
(I have been delayed recently by something. I will start a new world tomorrow. I will stay up late tonight to make a lot of revisions to the first few chapters.)
