Chapter 267 Love

Li Xia talked with head nurse Sister Chen about the precautions and professional knowledge in caring for vegetative patients.

She had to make some preparations for what would happen after being transferred to another hospital.

"Head nurse, there's an old lady in bed six who refuses to take her medicine, and we can't do anything about her."

A young nurse came running to Sister Chen with a sad face.

"Look at you little girls. You have problems all day long. You come to me for everything. I am an iron man. I don't need to take a breath for 24 hours a day."

Sister Chen said helplessly.

Today's young nurses are really not as good as they were back then.

When they first came to the hospital for internship, they were eager to do all the hard and dirty work.

Today's trainee nurses can't do this or that.

I wonder if the teachers in nursing schools are just eating for free every day?

They just force people to do something without even teaching them.

Seeing this, Li Xia took the initiative to say, "Head nurse, you go ahead and do your work. I have something to ask Director Li."

The young nurse was only a few years older than her.

Li Xia felt embarrassed standing here and listening to the head nurse scolding people.

"Okay, I'll go with you and take a look." Sister Chen nodded.

She must be quite capable to be able to reach the position of head nurse.

Sister Chen has an impatient temper and is quite strict with the nurses under her. This is out of her responsibility to the patients, which is why she demands strictness from the nurses.

But she is always kind to her patients.

No matter how difficult the patient is, she can handle it.

"Yeah, see you later."

"Let's go, what are you looking at? I don't think you will stop until you tire me out..."

Sister Chen walked in front of the young nurse, and her preaching voice echoed in the hospital corridor.

The young nurse lowered her head and followed the head nurse silently.

She knew she hadn't done her job well.

I didn't dare to make any excuses in front of my leader.

Li Xia went to Shan Yilin's ward to see him, tucked in the quilt for him, and talked to him for a few words.

Then she stood up, walked out of the ward and went to Director Li's office.

“Boom boom boom—”

Li Xia raised her hand and knocked on the door politely.

"Come in."

A powerful voice came from the office.

“Bang—”

Li Xia recognized that it was Director Li's voice, she raised her hand and pushed open the office door.

Director Li looked up at the sound. When he saw Li Xia, he raised his eyes and said in surprise, "Why are you here? Didn't I tell you to rest at home? Why are you here so soon?" He put down the work in his hands and said, "Please sit down."

He gestured for me to sit down and pointed to the chair in front of me.

Li Xia didn't hesitate. He walked up to Director Li and sat down in front of the chair.

"I have something I want to ask Director Li, and by the way, I want to pay the hospital's hospitalization and surgery fees." She said with her lips parted.

"Would you like some water?"

Director Li asked.

Li Xia shook her head. "Thank you, Director Li. No thanks. I'm not thirsty."

"Okay, you just said you had something to talk to me about, just tell me what it is."

Director Li lowered his head and took a sip of tea.

"I want to arrange for Shan Yilin to be transferred to another hospital."

Li Xia didn't beat around the bush and spoke directly.

After listening to Li Xia's words, Director Li put down the cup in his hand, looked at her and asked, "Since you have come to see me, it means that you have made a plan before coming to the hospital."

He did not try to retain him.

Given the patient's current condition, there is no better option than staying in their hospital.

As a doctor, he can understand the family members.

There may be a glimmer of hope if I am transferred to another hospital.

Even if it is a dead horse, we should try our best.

It's better than just waiting like this.

Although doctors always say some comforting words in front of other people's families to make them believe in medical miracles.

But in fact, whether it is doctors or patients' families.

Everyone knows that medical miracles do happen, but who can guarantee that such a miracle will happen to them?

No party dares to make such a guarantee.

Li Xia lowered her head and did not answer.

She didn't need to say anything, her silence was tantamount to consent.

Director Li opened his lips and said, "It's okay, I understand. Besides, there's nothing to be embarrassed about. Just fill out the form and I'll sign it for you."

If the patient has a better place to go, there is no reason for the doctor to block it.

"Thank you, Director Li."

Li Xia didn't know what to say to Director Li.

All she could think of was sincere gratitude.

Director Li waved his hand and said, "You're welcome. I can't help much."

After Li Xia came out of Director Li’s office, she returned to Shan Yilin’s ward.

She took a basin and a towel from the room and then went to the bathroom.

Li Xia got some hot water from the water room.

After doing all this, she walked towards the ward with the basin of water.

Li Xia wrung out the towel and wiped Shan Yilin's body.

During this process, her cheeks felt a little warm.

Li Xia turned her face away and looked to the side.

Although the two ate and lived together when they were abroad, their relationship was always purely roommates.

Except for the time when Shan Yilin got drunk.

They hardly had much physical contact.

After Li Xia finished cleaning up Shan Yilin, her whole face turned red like a monkey's butt.

She just asked the head nurse for advice on nursing knowledge.

Just want to practice it.
