"Okay, I'll go upstairs and take a look."
Shan Yilin nodded, said something to Zhou Yaya, then turned and went upstairs.
“Bang—”
"You're back."
"Well, my sister-in-law said you were sleepy and went back to your room to rest, so I came up to check on you."
Li Xia leaned against the head of the bed and squinted her eyes. She was not asleep yet. As soon as Shan Yilin opened the door, Li Xia woke up.
She opened her eyes, looked towards the door, and saw that it was Shan Yilin who walked into the room. After Li Xia said something, she closed her eyes again.
The two have been married for almost ten years, so they can be considered an old married couple.
Both parties already know each other thoroughly, so there is no need for pretentious courtesy.
"Xia Xia, are you really sleepy or feeling unwell?" Shan Yilin looked at Li Xia, who looked listless. He came to his wife, raised his hand to touch her forehead and took her temperature.
He was worried that his wife was not feeling well, and was afraid that they would worry, so he deliberately said that he was sleepy.
Li Xia shook her head. "No, I'm not feeling unwell. I just didn't get enough rest last night. I'm just a little sleepy. There's nothing else to worry about. Don't think too much about it."
She opened her eyes, looked up at Shan Yilin, and spoke to him.
She understood his concerns.
He asked that question because he was afraid that he might not be feeling well.
"Okay, as long as you're not feeling uncomfortable, that's good. If you're sleepy, just lie down on the bed and take a nap. Leaning here like this will not only make you rest poorly, but it will also cause back pain."
Shan Yilin put his hands on Li Xia's shoulders, trying to help her lie flat on the bed.
"It's okay. I'll just lean back and take a nap. I don't want to lie down."
Li Xia licked her lips and shook her head.
She didn't plan to sleep, she just wanted to lean on him for a while and didn't want to go to bed.
"Well, if you really don't want to lie down, I'll sit against the head of the bed and you can sleep on my shoulders. This will be a little more comfortable. At least my body is softer than wood."
After listening to Li Xia's words, Shan Yilin did not force his wife to lie on the bed.
He has always respected his wife's ideas.

She stood up and moved some space for Shan Yilin.
Shan Yilin sat near the head of the bed, and Li Xia leaned on his shoulder, closed her eyes and took a nap.
Half an hour passed.
Li Xia slowly opened her eyes.
"Are you awake?"
When Li Xia closed her eyes to rest, Shan Yilin remained motionless for fear of disturbing his wife's rest.
He was worried that if he moved a little, he would wake up Li Xia who was in a light sleep.
"Yeah." Li Xia nodded.
She felt that after closing her eyes for a while, she felt better.
Shan Yilin said, "Do you want to take a nap for a while?"
"No, I've rested enough."
Li Xia shook her head.
"Sister-in-law asked Aunt Wu to leave some food for you. If you don't want to sleep, I'll take you downstairs to eat." Shan Yilin said with a blink of his eyes.
"Why don't you go down and eat first? I just woke up and don't have much appetite. I don't really want to eat. More importantly, I'm not hungry either."
Li Xia raised her eyes to look at Shan Yilin and moved her lips.
People who have just had a good sleep are not very hungry.
Shan Yilin frowned and said, "No, you're not hungry. You don't eat much normally, and now you have a baby in your belly. You have to eat a little for your own health."
He could go along with her and give in to her in everything else.
Only in matters concerning body and health.
Shan Yilin always has special endings, without any room for negotiation.
"Don't you like preserved egg and lean meat porridge the most? If you don't have an appetite, I'll ask Aunt Wu to make you preserved egg and lean meat porridge. If you don't want to go downstairs, just wait in the room. I'll bring it up to you when it's ready."
Shan Yilin tried various ways to get Li Xia to eat something.
If his wife has no appetite, he can ask his aunt to make some of her favorite food.
Shan Yilin stood up and was about to leave the room.
Li Xia reached out and grabbed his arm. "Forget it. It's so late now. It's too much trouble. Everyone in the family has already had dinner. Aunt Wu finally got some rest. I can't trouble her to do it for me alone. So, I'll go down with you. I'll just eat something. Don't bother Aunt Wu."
She licked her lower lip and said with her mouth open.
"It's okay, Xia Xia, if you don't want to trouble your aunt, I'll do it for you."
Shan Yilin spoke.
Li Xia shook her head. "Really, no, I don't want to eat. If I want to eat something, I will tell you directly."
It was late at night and she didn't have much appetite.
There's no need to bother others.
"Okay then. If you have an appetite later and want to eat something, just tell me and I'll make it."
"Yeah, sure."
When Shan Yilin saw Li Xia nodded in agreement, he didn't say anything else.
The two went downstairs together.
"Xiao Xia, I heard from your sister-in-law that you were a little sleepy. Are you feeling unwell?"
When Mr. Shan heard the noise of Li Xia and Shan Yilin coming downstairs, he frowned and asked worriedly.
Although as an elder, he certainly hopes to have as many grandchildren as possible in the family.
But what comes first is my daughter-in-law’s body.
