"Boss, are there any empty rooms? We want one."
Li Xia held Li Yousheng's hand and walked into an inn.
She raised her eyes and asked the innkeeper.
During the more than half a month they were on the road, they always asked for a room whenever they stayed in an inn.
One reason was to save money. She had limited money on her and had to plan her spending.
Second, Li Yousheng is too young.
Li Xia was worried about letting him live in a room alone.
"Yes... cough cough cough..." The shopkeeper saw a guest coming. He was about to get up to greet the guest when he felt an itchy sensation deep in his throat. He couldn't help it, so he covered his mouth and started coughing.
Li Xia looked at the shopkeeper who looked like he was about to cough out his lungs. She bit her lower lip and quickly pulled Li Yousheng behind her.
"Yousheng, from now on, when you hear someone coughing around you, cover your mouth and nose and hold your breath."
She lowered her head and whispered into Li Yousheng's ear.
It seems that she has to hurry up and make a set of protective gear for Yousheng.
When Li Yousheng heard Li Xia's words, he did not ask the reason, but nodded obediently.
"I'll take the key myself, and I'll leave the silver on the table for you."
Li Xia looked at the corresponding price marked on each wooden sign and guessed that should be the price of each room.
Li Xia took out the appropriate amount of silver from his purse and placed it on the table in front of the shopkeeper.
"Please, boss, find a waiter to show me the way." She licked her lips and asked with her mouth open.
"Huang San, come here and show this girl the way."
The shopkeeper felt uncomfortable because of coughing. He raised his head, looked at a waiter who was wiping the table, and spoke to him hurriedly.
"Sir, please go upstairs." After hearing the shopkeeper's order, the waiter threw the towel in his hand over his shoulder and walked towards Li Xia.
He stretched out a hand, made a gesture of invitation in front of her, and led Li Xia to the second floor.
"My two guests, this is your room."
The waiter stopped in front of a room at the corner of the stairs. He pointed at the door of the room, turned his head and opened his mouth to speak to Li Xia.
Li Xia glanced at the room, nodded, and thanked the waiter, "Okay, thank you."
"Sir, if you have no other instructions, I will leave first."
The waiter said with his mouth open.
"Okay, go ahead. I'll call you if I need anything."
Li Xia blinked and spoke.
"Okay." The waiter nodded, then turned and walked down the stairs.
"Yousheng, let's go in."
After the waiter left, Li Xia reached out, took Li Yousheng's hand, pushed open the door, and walked into the room.
“Ahem…”
After Li Xia entered the room, she smelled a very obvious musty smell. She frowned and coughed twice.
She raised her eyes and glanced around the room.
The room was cleaned quite well, without any obvious dust or stains.
But perhaps because of the wars everywhere, the rooms in the inn had been idle for too long, no one had lived in them for a long time, and the doors and windows were all closed. In this humid climate, it was easy for mold to smell.
"Yousheng, wait for me at the door for a while. I'll go open the window to get rid of the smell." Li Xia raised her hand to fan away the musty smell at the tip of her nose. She lowered her head and spoke to Li Yousheng.
He is a child and is weak.
Smelling moldy odors too much is not good for your health.
She went to open the window first to disperse the smell, and it would be better if Yousheng could come in again.
Li Yousheng blinked, pursed his lips, looked at Li Xia and nodded.
When Li Xia saw Li Yousheng nod, she immediately let go of his hand.
“Squeak—”
After the window of the room was opened, gusts of fresh breeze blew in, dispelling the unpleasant smell.
"Okay, Yousheng, come in." After doing all this, Li Xia turned around and looked at Li Yousheng who was waiting at the door, raised her hand and waved at him.
"Yousheng, I may stay in Yicheng for a few more days. During these days, you should stay in your room obediently. I will prepare meals for you every day. Try to go out as little as possible."
Li Xia lowered her head and looked into Li Yousheng's eyes, then began to give him instructions.
Although this approach cannot completely guarantee that he will not be infected.
But if you pay attention, you can at least reduce the risk.
From the moment Li Xia, Li Yousheng and others stepped into Yi City, they came into invisibly contact with the people here.
The seeds of risk have already been planted.
All she can do now is to avoid greater risks as much as possible.
"I have some mugwort leaves and some herbs that strengthen the body and prevent colds in my bag. I'll fumigate the room with mugwort leaves and ask the waiter to bring up some hot water. You can go to the screen and take a hot bath with mugwort leaves. I'll go downstairs and use the kitchen to make some medicine. We'll both drink some later as a preventive measure."
Li Xia pursed her lips and spoke with her mouth open.
Whether it works or not, you won’t know until you try it.
"Sister, is there something wrong with you? If I can help, you can tell me directly."
Li Yousheng bit his lip, tilted his head back, and his brows were furrowed like two caterpillars.
While using sign language, he looked at Li Xia with worried eyes.
My sister wouldn't do this for no reason.
Could it be because of the coughing of those people in the city?
Although Li Yousheng was young, he was very intelligent and quickly discovered the problem.
When my sister heard the coughing when she entered the city, her expression became much more serious.
