Lin Jinxing hugged Ying Xixi, his brain racing to find a reason to explain.
But Ying Xixi anticipated his prediction, pushed him away and stared at him seriously.
"Ah Xing, don't make excuses or just find reasons to put me off.
We are married now. If you really regard me as your wife, then don’t hide anything from me or lie to me.”
Lin Jinxing sighed, put his long arms around Ying Xixi's waist, and held her while he sat on the edge of the bed.
"Xixi, actually, I'm looking for spiritual energy.
I thought there might still be some spiritual energy in these deserted places.
I didn't expect that there was not even a trace of spiritual energy left. It turned out that there was no spiritual energy in the Dharma Ending Age.
I had a glimmer of hope at first, but now that hope is gone."
"Aura? What...what are you looking for aura for?"
Ying Xixi had a vague guess.
"For monsters, spiritual energy allows them to cultivate, and for humans, living in a place with spiritual energy can prolong their lives.
Xixi, I know that our lifespans are not equal. I want to find out if there is any spiritual energy that can help you live longer.
But it seems that there may be no solution for the time being."
Lin Jinxing's tone was full of loss.
Ying Xixi snuggled into his arms, "Ah Xing, don't think about this problem anymore. No matter what the future holds, at least we are together now, right?
As long as we live in the present, as long as we are happy now, that is enough.
If you worry too much about things that haven't happened in the future, you will be unhappy.
We're still on our honeymoon, don't you want to be happy?"
Lin Jinxing felt a little sore in his throat.
He understands the principles, but understanding and doing are two different things.
He had previously held a glimmer of hope for the existence of spiritual energy, but now, there was no hope.
"And, Ah Xing, we've traveled to so many countries, and I haven't heard any intelligent animals speak.
This shows that there are indeed no intelligent animals in these countries, and to a certain extent it also shows that there are no spiritual places in these countries.
But in our country, in City A alone, there are many newly intelligent animals.
Instead of wandering around abroad looking for spiritual energy, we might as well go back to China and look around.
No one wants to live a hundred years, and if we can really find a place with spiritual energy in China, I would be happy to be there often."
Ying Xixi looked at Lin Jinxing, whose eyes were red and whose cat ears, which had appeared out of nowhere, were drooping. He looked like he was about to cry, and she comforted him gently.
"Okay, we'll be back home in a few days."
Lin Jinxing's kitten ears stood up again, and although his eyes were still red, he looked much better.
But both Ying Xixi and Lin Jinxing understood it.
Having said that, I'm afraid there is no spiritual energy in China either.
Times have changed after all.
At night, Ying Xixi lay in Lin Jinxing's arms and played with his fluffy cat tail.
"Ah Xing, have you felt your old memories loosening recently?"
More than two months later, Ying Xixi asked this question again.
Lin Jinxing felt that he should tell Xixi that he had recovered his memory.
He could see that Xixi was worried that he would no longer like her after he regained his memory.
But how could that be?
Regardless of whether he has lost his memory or not, or merged with his original body or not.
Both his original body and his clone will always like Xixi.
"Xixi, I feel like I've recovered my memory."
Lin Jinxing's words made Ying Xixi sit up straight immediately.
She stared at Lin Jinxing with wide eyes, "Have you really recovered your memory? Then do you remember how we met?"
His arms suddenly felt empty, and Lin Jinxing sat up unaccustomed to it. He stretched out his long arms and pulled Ying Xixi into his arms.
“Remember, I posted a part-time job advertisement, recruiting someone to take care of cats and dogs. If you accepted, you can come to my house.
Xixi, I remember everything that happened after I met you.
Now that I think about it, there is a lot of fate between us.
If you hadn't picked up my real body, it might have been close to death.
Once the original body dies, my clone won't live long even if it has a human form.
And if you hadn't come to my house to work part-time, I would have had no chance to meet you, no chance to merge with my original body, and no chance to be with you.
Xixi, we are destined to be together."
Lin Jinxing, who has 'recovered his memory', makes a heartfelt confession.
Ying Xixi turned her head to look at him, "So what you mean is that now that you've recovered your memory, you still like me?"
Lin Jinxing rubbed the top of her head and gave her affirmation, "Yes, whether I have recovered my memory or not, I still like you.
I am also glad that even though I lost my memory, I still liked you and had the courage to confess to you.
Otherwise, I don’t know when I’ll have the courage to express my feelings to you.”
Ying Xixi felt relieved now.
No matter what, Lin Jinxing likes her.
"Ah Xing, so you liked me before?"
Ying Xixi asked Lin Jinxing with a smile.
Lin Jinxing cleared his throat, his ears turned red, and the cat ears on his head that had just been tucked away popped out again.
"Um."
"Really? Then when did you start liking me? I can't tell at all."
Lin Jinxing thought about it.
When did it start?
"I can't remember exactly, but it probably started with seeing you every day, eating the meals you cooked, and watching you tenderly take care of the golden retriever.
