“Then let’s elope?” Troyes suggested. “Let’s go somewhere where nobody knows us and stay together forever, okay? If you miss Mom and Dad, we can take them with us.”
Gu Qingqiu shook her head again: "No, my parents are getting old, and this is where they've lived their whole lives. How can I convince them to give up their stable life and house here and go to a strange place? And how can you guarantee that other places will be able to accommodate us?"
Troye looked at Gu Qingqiu with a somewhat resentful expression. "You have so many concerns. In the end, you probably don't think deep down that you'll be with me forever, do you?"
