Caroline's words caught the attention of the Blood Servant Girls.
These girls had been raised by Count Firas since they were young and had never done any hard work, let alone stayed in such a filthy cellar.
Caroline's tone was somewhat questioning.
But to the girls' ears, it sounded like an order.
Catherine said in an annoyed tone, "Then why haven't you started cleaning yet!"
“Yes!” Miranda said arrogantly, her eyes showing a hint of disdain. “Are you ordering us around?”
Maria, as if she had found a scapegoat, screamed, "Are you waiting for us to do it?! You wretched woman!"
Caroline's face turned pale instantly, and she looked at them in disbelief.
Lilith had always shielded her from harm before, so she hadn't been harassed or yelled at by anyone.
This was the first time she had been confronted and scolded by the trio, especially their tone, which carried a sense of contempt and disdain.
Caroline sees everyone as equal; otherwise, she wouldn't have pleaded for these girls.
These girls actually called her a lowly woman and ordered her to clean the filthy cellar all by herself.
"The housekeeper said it would be the four of us..."
"Shut up!" Miranda walked over and slapped her.
The sound of the blow stunned Caroline.
"...You hit me?"
Even Count Elder couldn't beat her, and said that no one but him could bully her.
She was actually attacked by a Blood Servant.
Miranda scoffed, "So what if I hit you! Go clean the cellar right now, or you'll be sorry if it's not cleaned properly by dawn!"
Caroline's eyes were filled with tears, and she felt extremely wronged and sad.
She bit her lip hard, a flash of anger crossing her eyes.
She should have known better than to help these girls; after all, they were just sycophantic blood servants who were no longer 'human'.
The trio outnumbered Caroline, who couldn't defeat all three. Suppressing her grievances and fear, she began to laboriously clean the filthy cellar.
...
...
The next day.
Sunlight streamed into the room through the glass windows, bringing extremely strong light.
Fu Sang woke up in the blinding light, opening her beautiful eyes and staring at the ceiling above the bed.
A moment later.
She turned her head to look.
The handsome young man lay in a standard and elegant posture, his well-defined hands resting on his abdomen, and his handsome face radiating an unparalleled charm in the bright light.
This was a face of divine beauty, as if bestowed by heaven. A few rays of sunlight shone down, giving it a faint golden glow.
“Ludwig,” she called out.
Ludwig opened his beautiful golden eyes and turned to look at the rosy-cheeked girl.
Good morning, Lilith.
"Good morning." Fu Sang smiled.
Ludwig lowered his eyelashes slightly, and his thin, crimson lips curved into a gentle smile as he said, "Lilith, I slept very well last night."
"..." Does being well-fed lead to better sleep?
Fu Sang recalled the process of being bitten, threw off the covers and got out of bed, walking barefoot towards the dressing table with her crystal-clear jade feet.
Her reflection was shown in the mirror on the dressing table.
The beautiful young girl wore a loose-fitting nightgown, revealing skin as white as snow, and delicate collarbones that were sexy and alluring.
Fu Sang tilted his head slightly, revealing his bitten neck.
Two faint marks remained on the girl's fair and graceful neck.
The bright red marks look rather cute.
Fu Sang stretched out her slender, white fingers, touched the small teeth marks, and stared blankly at the mirror.
“Lilith…”
