Chapter 83 The Legend of the Dark Knight 23

The black dragon tilted its head, looked up, and gazed at her with its clear, large eyes.

Fu Sang always felt that answering "yes" might have negative consequences.

So she gave a clever answer.

"Eric is so cute, is he your pet?"

What is Cassius's true identity, and why did the rumored dragon become his pet?

Fu Sang became increasingly curious.

Cassius glanced indifferently at the dragon that was trying to act cute and charming.

“I found it in a destroyed village.”

Fu Sang's pupils contracted slightly as he asked, "Did it destroy the village?"

Eric immediately jumped up.

It gesticulated wildly and chirped excitedly.

*sobs* (╥╯^╰╥)

No, it's not that! It's those despicable demons!

Those humans wearing silver armor!

Fu Sang didn't understand, his golden eyes flickered slightly as he looked at the boy.

"Cassius, what is it saying?"

Cassius's thin, beautiful lips were pressed into a straight line.

"It didn't destroy the village."

"Mmm-hmm!" Eric nodded repeatedly.

It was raised by the villagers, so how could it harm its own 'family'?

Fu Sang pondered for a moment.

It seems there are many things about this empire that the original owner was unaware of.

“Your Highness,” Cassius called out.

"Mm," Fu Sang responded.

Cassius led her to a tree.

"Please wait here for a moment, I'll go get some firewood."

Fusang found a place to sit down.

The dragon hopped around at Fusang's feet, rubbing against the girl's leg while its master was away.

The girl had an aura of purity.

Wherever she went, everything seemed to rejoice, and the flowers, plants, and trees became more vibrant.

Cassius went into the forest and returned shortly afterward with a pile of firewood.

Just as they stepped out of the forest, they saw a tiny dragon acting cute next to the girl.

A flicker of displeasure crossed Cassius's mind.

Eric, that little thing...

“Your Highness,” Cassius said.

Fu Sang turned around and saw the delicate young man carrying firewood, and gave him a beautiful smile.

"You're back."

Cassius carried a pile of firewood over.

I just stopped.

A piece of dry firewood accidentally fell and landed on the dragon's back with a thud.

"Screech—!" the dragon cried out in pain.

Fu Sang was slightly startled and asked, "Is Eric alright?"

"A single piece of firewood won't hurt it."

"..."

Pets have no voice.

Even a piece of firewood hitting the 'cute version' of it hurts.

The owner is heartless, so I'm crying.

Cassius put down the firewood and piled it up, then walked over and sat down next to the girl.

He commanded the dragon: "Eric, set the fire on fire."

Eric leaped over and opened his mouth, spewing out a stream of flame.

The dry wood ignited instantly.

The surrounding temperature gradually rose, making it much warmer.

Fu Sang hugged his knees, staring at the burning flames.

"Your Highness, are you hungry?" the boy asked.

Fusang shook his head: "I'm not hungry, Cassius. Are you hungry?"

“I’m not hungry,” Cassius replied.

Fu Sang hesitated for a moment, then said, "Cassius, I still have a lot to tell you."

Cassius suddenly stood up, and then...

He knelt down on one knee, planted his sword in the ground, and raised his delicate face to look at her.

"Your Highness, I would like to formally swear an oath to you."

Fu Sang's heart pounded, and he instinctively sat up straight.

“Cassius…”

Cassius held his sword in one hand and placed the other on his left chest.

The boy lowered his head, his tone utterly devout.

“I am Cassius Reinhardt…”
