If we're going to be together in the future, the conditions definitely need to be met.
Upon hearing Jun Qi's explanation, Chestnut and Little Black were filled with admiration. Truly, he was a male cat who was meant to support a family; his awareness was truly high.
After that, Xu Qiaoqiao didn't take the initiative to see Jun Qi, because she was too embarrassed.
As December passes, the new year will soon arrive.
Before the New Year's Eve arrived, it started to snow, a light snowfall, which was a rare treat for V City.
So, at the moment it started snowing, Xu Qiaoqiao could hear the exclamations of surprise coming from outside, including from her beloved pet owner.
It's snowing, and the temperature has dropped a bit more. Xu Qiaoqiao thought of where Jun Qi lived. It seemed to be just a pile of cardboard boxes there. Could something unexpected have happened?
Xu Qiaoqiao worriedly wondered how Junjun was doing now.
Ever since that day she overheard him, Xu Qiaoqiao had been searching for him in broad daylight, but she rarely found him. Thinking about what she had heard, Xu Qiaoqiao's lips twitched uncontrollably. Could this guy have really gone to make money?
I don't know how to make money?
It was only temporary. No matter how Xu Qiaoqiao asked, Jun Qi wouldn't say anything. Even when she asked his group of cat underlings, they wouldn't say anything more. It was obvious that they had already been told off.
Xu Qiaoqiao: Never mind, the other party will have to talk about this sooner or later anyway, no rush.
On New Year's Eve, Xu Qiaoqiao secretly ran out to celebrate with Jun Qi.
A thin layer of snow had already accumulated on the ground outside. Xu Qiaoqiao tripped and fell while running, leaving a large mark on the ground.
It wasn't completely dark yet. Xu Qiaoqiao looked around at the empty surroundings. There wasn't a single person in sight. It looked extremely desolate, and the snow seemed to be falling even heavier.
Jun Qi now lives under that slide. He was quite clever; he brought some cardboard boxes and made himself a tiny, cozy little nest.
When winter comes, fewer children come to play on the slides and swings, making it a good place for these stray cats to live.
Xu Qiaoqiao came to the slide, crawled inside, and saw several cardboard boxes placed there. The largest of these cardboard boxes was about the size of a math book, and two cats were sleeping inside one of these boxes.
"Meow~"
Xu Qiaoqiao found the cardboard box where Jun Qi was sleeping. She poked her head inside and whispered something in his ear.
The first time I called, the other person didn't wake up, but the second time, they responded somewhat.
"Meow." Junjun.
When called for the third time, Junqi struggled to open his eyes a few times, yawned, and meowed a few times in a daze, his voice very soft, like a murmur. He stretched out his body, buried his head, and looked like he really didn't want to wake up.
"Meow." Xu Qiaoqiao smiled and called out again. This meow was much clearer than the previous ones. Jun Qi twitched his nose and sensed the kitten's scent, instantly chasing away his drowsiness.
"Meow." Kitten!
Jun Qi immediately opened his eyes. As soon as he looked up, he saw Xu Qiaoqiao's smiling eyes. When she saw that Jun Qi was awake, she happily called out again, leaned over, licked Jun Qi's fur, and stroked his fur.
Jun Qi was naturally very happy to see Xu Qiaoqiao come to find him.
His emotions visibly surged, and he jumped up and hugged Xu Qiaoqiao.
"Meow!"
Jun Qi laughed excitedly. He had only vaguely seen the kitten's shadow and thought he was still dreaming, but now that he was truly holding it in his arms, he was overjoyed.
Xu Qiaoqiao hugged him back, but because Jun Qi's hug was too strong, she lost her balance and accidentally fell forward, landing on Jun Qi.
Jun Qi was clearly even happier.
The snow outside was falling heavier and heavier, with heavy snowflakes drifting down from the sky and the wind howling constantly. But here, there was a rare warmth, a stark contrast to the desolation outside.
"Meow." Junjun, let's ring in the New Year together.
